No recommendations and clearly don't listen all too well. Parts of the meal were missing. Food: 2/5. Very bland. No flavor whatsoever. The best thing about my meal was the chips and salsa. Location: 3/5. Very cold inside so we decided to sit outside because they said there is a play area for kids. A piece of turf 6ft with nothing for the kids to play on is not a kid play area. Tables wobble. Felt way better than inside. It's becoming more and more complicated to find a decent place to eat on this side of town. The place was surprisingly not crowded when we arrived on a Saturday evening around 5:00 pm. We were a party of six, there was no wait time, and we were seated right away. The hostess was friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was calm and chill which is uncommon for this restaurant. Maybe the weather scared a lot of people from being out and about because it was pretty dead inside. However, towards the end of our visit, loads of other guests began to slowly fill up the place. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our visit to the fullest. The food is good and enjoyable. It's not overly amazing or anything, but it's definitely good enough to enjoy. The customer service is always on point, the servers are always friendly and welcoming but Eddie is the best server by far. From my experience with him, it's easy to see that he knows what he's doing. He never missed a beat making sure we had everything we needed, making light conversations with us, checking on us periodically, and even offering to take a few group photos of our group. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone who enjoys delicious Mexican food and Margaritas. There's plenty of parking but can get overcrowded at times. The dining area has two parts with one being the main dining area near the entrance and the other part is on the other side of the main dining area separated by a wall. The cheese enchilada was perfectly melty with a rich, savory flavor, while the sour cream enchilada was smooth, creamy, and balanced everything out so well. I was originally driving to the area for BBQ but when I arrived the place was closed. Oh well I went to Yelp to see what is close by and found Julio's. I remember I dined there years ago but really couldn't remember much about the food but since BBQ was off the table I thought dome Tex Mex sounded good. It was a very beautiful fall day so I opted to sit on the huge covered patio as did most everyone else dinning there that day. My server was friendly and attentive. They brought two salsas out, a green salsa and what seemed to be a roasted red salsa. The green was very good but the red had a strange flavor that I just couldn't figure out. I stuck with the green. I ordered the Chili Relleno with ground beef from the lunch menu, it came with guacamole, a queso puff and rice and beans...$13.99. It was all very good and I would definitely order it again. The food is inconsistent and the last two food orders that I've had were really really bad. One was so salty. We couldn't eat it. The next order the tacos were soggy. The nachos were soggy. You cannot go wrong when you eat at Julio's. The fajitas are consistently great and well priced. All the lunch and dinner plates are pretty awesome. Recently I tried the enchiladas with the green sauce and was blown away by the flavoring of them. My wife goes for the variety plates and loved the quesadillas, while my teenager always goes for the beef fajitas and queso. The porch is fantastic when the weather permits. We have been here 15+ times and we have only had one bad waiter. Recently we did a late lunch on the porch and didn't get great service. In fact, we told her we needed silverware and she said okay. They we go our food and didn't have any utensils. She said okay and went to get some. As our food was getting cold I got up and went inside where someone quickly got us silverware and apologized. Nothing ruins a good plate of enchiladas more than not having a fork! But, still 5 stars because we have had such consistently great service here. The food was great. The ambiance was cozy, the service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean.

The service was great, the food, not so much. We got an appetizer of guacamole which was good. Couldn't really mess that up. My husband got the carne guisada which is supposed to be stewed meat in a gravy sauce, but it was more like stewed meat with potatoes, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños. It was in a very liquidy broth, which I would even call a soup. Not like the thick gravy that carne guisada is supposed to come in. It wasn't very good at all. I got the Julio's Mexican plate which came with a taco, bean tostada, cheese puff w/ queso, a cheese enchilada, rice & beans. My husband ate my taco, the bean chalupa was so thick with refried beans that I couldn't eat it. I ate half of the cheese enchilada that was just so so & the beans & rice was bland. The only thing we really liked was the tortillas & the ice water. My hubs is Hispanic & he said it reminded him of white people trying to make Mexican food. lol Needless to say, we probably won't be back for another meal. read more
