When this place 1st opened years ago it was some good food ! now I've given it chance after chance after chance over the years and it just not it anymore . I've never seen a taco truck that had an outside sitting area and inside. The shrimp cocktail was pretty good it needed more veggies , but it had a good flavor . I drove to Hempstead from Round Rock this morning and happened to pass this place as I was leaving town. The line of people at the side window of this converted school bus was what caught my attention. I reasoned that if this many people lined up to order food in a small town, the food had to be good. I used to manage Mexican restaurants so I tend to be a food snob when it comes to Mexican food. I ordered a Taco de barbacoa and a Taco Pastor. I ordered both with Pico de Gallo, extra cilantro, and onions. The barbacoa was one of the best street tacos I've had. The meat was spiced to perfection and there was just enough juice to make it moist but not so much that it saturated my tortillas. I asked for tortillas de maíz and they tasted like they were home made. The blend of flavors topped by goat cheese was out of this world. I was equally pleased with the Taco Pastor. The third item I ordered was a Gordita de carne. The pouch was a little greasy but the flavor was delicious. The only problem is that they don't have a location in Round Rock. read more

What a gem! Leaving the TX Renaissance Festival driving back to San Antonio on a Sunday morning in search of breakfast tacos. A daunting task when driving through the country in unfamiliar territory. But this place we found on yelp and google with good reviews came up and they were right! Don't let the appearance fool you...Its a school bus converted into a restaurant with covered outdoor seating. I had some pretty tasty breakfast tacos and my gf had a vegetarian huarache with beans and all the fixins. The guy taking orders is great, short and to the point when ordering. There are pictures on the side for the folks that don't know what to order. May try the chilaquiles next time, they look pretty legit considering the green salsa that came out with my tacos was bomb! There is a second food truck to side with all of the snacks. Elote(corn in a cup) and chamoyada type snacks. Did not try having it be 10 AM on a recovery Sunday but the pictures looked legit. There is a lady walking around asking if you need anything whom I found to be very helpful! They also have fresca which is like finding a needle in a haystack. i heard good things about this taco truck unfortunately my experience was horrible! The guy taking our order was rushing us despite the fact we told him it was our first time. Cutting us off in the middle of our sentence saying "Que mas". We asked what came in some of their items, he told us & when the food came out it was missing most of the ingredients he had said that came with it. This might be one of the best places for tacos in Texas. Converted school bus, super fast service and not messing around. Just a short drive off of 290 south on hwy 6...outdoor dining with amazing ice cream and Mexican desserts on the other side... Absolutely amazing. We tried the sopes, two gorditas w steak and chicken, a variety of tacos including chicken, tripe, spicy sausage etc and a torts with chicken. Almost everything was a winner. Man, I love this place. The beef fajita tacos are all I want. These are exactly as I remember eating down in Mexico as a child. Simple perfect for my taste buds. They also have other really good food choices. We try to stop here each passing trip. There is a small porch to the side of the bus if you need a table. A restroom inside also.
