    3 Asada tacos I ordered
    Hisha M.

I paid $14 for this first timer and let me tell you last timer! The meat has no flavor I'm not even sure it's Asada, the meat is just boiled with no type of seasoning. I took 1 bite and called it quits now I have to see if my dogs will eat the meat. Never again! Waste of money!!! Good luck if you thinking about trying this place! Lucky they got 1 star cuz I was prepared to give none

Carne Asada bowl. Can you see the tiniest bit of cheese they give.

First off it's so hard to find a parking spot here as it's right next to water and ice and everyone is in there getting water. I would of probably given this place 5 stars if it hadn't been for the skimpy portion giving person I got today. The 3 stars given are for the taste of the food only. From the moment I walked in I knew I was not going to get good service based on who was working today. I got the carne asada bowl. This is the type of place where you go to the counter, tell them what you want then you move down the line and pick your toppings. The first girl puts in the rice (and beans if you want them) and the meat. She was great and the portion amount was sufficient. Then the next girl puts the other toppings on. The lettuce, salsas etc. she puts on the least amount of stuff she can. I asked first for a little lettuce and pico, she then right away wanted to put the cheese on.. I had to tell her I wanted other stuff. Cilantro and onions, the green salsa, and the cilantro sauce. After each of those items she kept trying to go straight to the cheese. Now when it came time to put the cheese on she put the tiniest little sprinkle she could. If I would of asked for a little more I would of gotten the same tiny tiny again and then on top of it they would of charged me 1.00 for extra cheese when in fact it wasn't even an extra amount. You might ask why I keep going there, well because I really like the taste, but I shouldn't have to come home and put my own cheese on my take out food. They always used to give decent potion amounts but that seemed to change when these new girls started. (Not even chipotle charges you extra if you ask for a little more) I doubt anything will change while these girls are still working there and I doubt anyone that even matters will even read or do anything about my review. They probably could care less. I tried to capture the amount of cheese they put on but once they added the sour cream it's kinda hard to tell.

    Lengua taco!

Well I tried something new because I had a craving for Green Chile Pork, which we call chile verde in California. I ordered it with rice, no beans. I did add cheese though. My wife ordered a fried fish taco and a ground beef taco with all the fixings. Even without the beans, my burrito was a pretty nice size. At first bite, I burned the roof of my mouth from a potato. Ok, they add potatoes to their green pork chile. I took another bite and the flavor profile became familiar. I knew right away it tasted like Dinty Moore canned stew. Then the potatoes made sense. Really? It's not made in house? If it is, I'd recommend changing the recipe. I mean , why would you want to serve something that tastes exactly like a Dinty Moore product? I can't get that aftertaste out of my mouth and it's already been about an hour after we ate. The ground beef taco was OK. The fish was the better of the two. My wife said it needed some citrus accompaniment, which I'm surprised wasn't included with her meal. Personally, I think I'll stick to their breakfast burritos and posóle.

Really good food, chinchy with meat portions. I hope they can rectify, otherwise Chipotle is another option.

But this place seriously nails it. Even the rice has lil corn pieces and so you might think it's "weird" but it's INCREDIBLE. Best flavors ever. The Camarón (shrimp) is super juicy and moist and seasoned with garlic and everything. I haven't had Mexican food this good In so long. I have been here for 19 years and going to this location since it opened in Maricopa. And every time I order something new I have an even better meal than the one before. Big portions, fast service. 7.8/10 chips and salsa. I wish they had a chunky salsa with it. The shrimp fajitas made my ancestors very pleased. I was in heaven. It's a beautiful family restaurant and there is live music at 4pm on Mother's Day. All day happy hour for Mother's Day. 2pm-6pm is the daily happy hour Margaritas are $4.75 or something like that. Amazing deal.

No one was at the counter when we arrived so we waited to be seated. The young woman who seated us was pleasant. Our waiter arrived 3-5 minutes with chips and salsa, I requested salsa verde which took 5 minutes and had to be asked for again. The waiter returned 5-7later took our order and returned 5 minutes later with our drinks. Then the white family of five arrived and were seated in the booth behind us. Immediately our waiter was there taking their drink order. The bus boy hurriedly brought them chips and salsa. Within 3 minutes their orders were taken and given to the kitchen. My friend and I began to worry what was the hold up with our order, our waiter rushed by with a drink order lower his head to avoid eye contact or any acknowledgment. Guess what happened next the white family received their order I told my friend I am out! No way was this acceptable. As we were leaving the greeter thank us for coming stop mid sentence when she realized we were never served. My friend ask to speak with the manager , the manager was our waiter. I am not sure why we were treated so poorly, we are quiet and respectful. We patiently waited for our order. The manager decided that we need to wait til he served the white family that arrived after us first, I feel like this money is green and the color of your skin should not be a factor. If you don't want certain ethnicity to come to your restaurant then you should relocate to a place that does not have a diverse population. In closing I would say if you don't mind being treated like shit go to Plaza Bonita! Disrespect is served in abundance!

Where do I start! Disappointment is an understatement! We definitely were not welcomed! No…read moreexaggeration included! For starters, the seat yourself arrangement is the most uncomfortable arrangement in the city. You stand at the front door with other hungry patrons literally hovering over already occupied tables trying not to stare while patiently waiting for them to finish. This is unavoidable since there's nothing else to look at while waiting. Uncomfortable for those eating and those waiting. Lol, The hungry will always win the staring contest. Gives off the vibes of being rushed or rushing those seated. Get a number system or incorporate some other form of notifying waiting guest that can comfortably wait "outside" considering the minimal amount of space. Once a table came available we begin seating our kids when the grumpy busboy says " I usually don't let people sit while I'm wiping the table". Which we completely understood and apologized but felt the need to quickly make our way to an open table before the other surrounding groups did since theres no way to tell who arrived first. Granted, we watched him clean the table once but decided to make a second pass. Not too big of a deal but there's more. Once seated with drinks we watched the group(s) behind us finally get seated and thats when the hospitality true feeling of our presence began to show. After finishing a cup of coffee we watched the family ahead of us get there plates, start smacking on the country fried steak, licking the gravey running down the side of their arms and an abundance of refills of coffee for every table except ours. We are now 45 min in watching this atrocity take place next to us while our stomachs touch our backs. At this point we're debating on paying for the drinks and leaving. From the time we received our drinks, the family ahead of us were not only served but finished eating and now chatting it up. We're pretty patient people and understand that eating out during peak hours will take time, but with that being said, taking time doesn't mean that the group in front of you can be fed and finish along with the groups 10 min behind you placing order, getting refilled coffee AND receiving their plates before our second cup of coffee let alone a plate or apology for the delay is cool. Nope, 1 hr + in and we just kept getting ignored. Made eye contact with the gentleman taking orders with the mobile register and the heavy set waitress skipping out on the coffee refills and both quickly looked away. It wasn't until the grumpy busboy saw us and asked if we needed anything. At that point I thought he was being sarcastic but he actually slightly redeemed himself by taking care of the 2nd cup of coffee. We took two sips and decided enough was enough. I made my way to the register to let the busboy (hate calling him that but I didn't get a name) know that we will just pay for our drinks and exit stage left. He apologized and told me not to worry about the drinks and we left. In short (sarcasm here) Thank you Headquarters for providing a teachable moment for my kids and shout out to Deny's for unknowingly recovering this fumble. SMH! I'll just continue to keep passing by this place without hesitation. Never thought I'd say this about any establishment because we all have bad days but I would give a zero if I could. Unfortunate for sure because it smelled really good, it was the service that stunk!
