I was wanting a chicken burrito for lunch on Monday, so I placed an order for pick up. I've been looking for a place I can place on order online, had chicken breast, I can add cheese & sour cream, and it's too far from my work. This place met all those needs. There was a line when I walked in. No one greets you. There is no sign where to pick up online orders. There is one person running the front. She was taking orders, answering the phone, and handing out the food. I waited in the line for a little while. Then I saw there was an order on the counter to the side where she was handing out food. I walked up & told her I had an online order. I wanted to try the green salsa at the bar, but there was not any containers to put it in; just lids. I got the chicken burrito with pico, guacamole, cheese & sour cream & a side of chips. The burrito was huge & full. The chicken didn't seem grilled. I'm not sure how they cook it. It was super tender & there were large pieces in the burrito. It was a little bit dry. The burrito had a great flavor. I ate the other half the next day for lunch. The chips were okay. Excellent customer service! Food is tasty! One of my favorite places to eat. I'm vegetarian and love the cheese enchilada with red sauce. Spicy and addicting! I've been buying burritos from this place occasionally for the last few years. There is a white lady with glasses who has been rude to me twice and almost bothered when she takes your orders at the counter . A few months back I went there I took my I laws for the first time . Again she was rude and even my mother in law noticed so we notified the manager about her rude disposition. Today I called to place an order over the phone and I nicely asked "may I place an order " the person on the other end huffed/ sighed and said "ok" . She was bothered that I was having her do her job over the phone ! Like what the heck !? So I just hung up . I am done with this place . Good food but poor customer service. read more

I would probably come here again and give it another chance. The employees were really nice and welcoming. A friend and I came for a quick dinner on a Thursday. They were not busy at all. There is plenty of on site parking. Of the bat, it was noticeably not the cleanest establishment. Quite a bit of random trash and food droppings on the floor. The table seatings were very cute though. The food was just okay. I had the California burrito which was pretty bland. The carne asada definitely needed a bit more seasoning. The tortilla tasted fresh though! The salsa was extremely spicy. I didn't have a problem with the salsa being spicy, but I say it here just in case you (the reader of this review) are not interested in very spicy salsa. Service was good but food is terrible. Ordered Ham, cheese and egg burrito combo and there's barely any ham or cheese (see picture). I was pretty much eating an egg burrito. Flavor is bad too. The rice and beans have no flavor too. The salsas were the only good thing about this place. read more

Its been a while since I've been here. I stopped because I was in the area. The CSR's were friendly, but the burritos are not as good as they used to be. There was very little meat- mostly just beans, and the tortilla was hard. Also, I paid for a side of guacamole. I could have dipped the hard tortilla pieces in it, but it wasn't in the bag. Its too far for me to go back. Money down the drain. Very disappointing. I don't think I will return. read more

We came here and ate outside cause my mom had her dog. I had the carne asada fries was very good but a small size. My mom had the machaca burrito which she didn't care for she said it had no flavor, it needed more seasonings. They were very nice, you go order your Food then they bring it out for you. Not sure what's going on here? I haven't been since 2019? Went on Thursday looks the same inside but the breakfast burrito was not the same. Ordered a ham potato egg cheese. Got a sliced ham not chunked anymore? Had no potato and too much egg? Salsa was the same but the burrito isn't what it used to be AT ALL. One of my favorite spots when visits home! If you love burritos this is a must try...you can pretty much have any type of burrito that meets your taste. I ordered potato, bacon, eggs and cheese and egg and green chili. Both were delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the eggs were fluffy and the bacon was crispy. Prices were pretty reasonable. Around $30 for 3 burritos. Service was beyond amazing! I wasn't sure around my picky 2 year old a side of rice and I was offered a sample. The reason was pretty good. Closed on Sunday's and now the price has gotten out of control. I spent $14.74 for a burrito that I can make at home for pennies. They charged me 1.49 for potato's and the 4.59 to add green Chile sauce on my burrito. They have gotten too expensive. Last time. Go some place else. Only saving grace was the staff was very nice. Found myself here looking for some breakfast after bagelman was closed again. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Burrito place with a decent menu. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. The place was busy and still got my order in about 5 minutes which I thought was fast. Very good breakfast burrito, as big as any burrito, I had expected smaller but it was pretty big. Very happy with breakfast. We have been coming to eat lunch for the last year. No matter what is ordered, or how busy they are, the food is great! The sitting area is always clean. The tostadas are the best you will find anywhere. We have tried several other food choices and it has never disappointed. We laughed about finding *the* original burrito company, as in the very first ever, but if you can get over the unoriginal name, it's a tasty breakfast burrito. I'm assuming it's mainly known for the breakfast burritos, as the hours on Yelp show it being open early morning until 2pm is all, so that's what we were after. We originally rolled up to the bagel shop nearby but it had a line out the door, so we went with burrito. When you're headed out for a morning of hiking, burrito is a good call. I went with a potato-egg-bacon number, and we also ordered a chorizo burrito. I think I may have won, but only just. I liked the chorizo a lot, actually, but--and I swear I'm not making this up--it tasted a little cinnamon-y to me? So the bacon won the day IMO. But the salsa (served to go in little mini cups) is what put both iterations over the top. They're big, but not so massive that you can't finish it in the parking lot of the trailhead. They were also pretty quick with things, so we went in to order, waited a couple of minutes, and then were ready to go, and it all felt pretty COVID safe to me. All of the staff are very pleasant and friendly. My wife and I loved our #15 (shredded beef) and #16 Burritos (shredded chicken) . They are LARGE! We enjoyed our lunch in the large patio. Phoenix has a lot of Mexican food. I've had great Mexican, I've had good Mexican, and I've had less than good Mexican. The worst Mexican food I've had has been here. The Original Burrito Company causes me to miss fast food chain Mexican. The shredded beef in the soft tacos tastes like water. It look like beef, but has no smell and no flavor. The dominant flavor in the soft taco is cilantro. I know of no person who woke up and said "I want a cilantro taco." But if you're that person, try the soft tacos. The chicken in the chicken and rice burrito was dry and over cooked. It was also swimming in rice. The chicken in the chicken quesadilla was tasty. They don't cut their quesadillas, so prepare to try to eat it while or tear it into strips. It's folded in half, which is sort of unhelpful. Prep was weak throughout. The quesadilla was ordered with red sauce; it had none. The soft tacos had no cheese, but they did have lots and lots of cilantro. A side order of guacamole was missing. Overall, I wish I had made a run for the border. read more

I was really in the mood for a delicious bean and cheese burrito and found this place when I was in the area. Pretty cool place and got tons of different type of burritos to choose from. It looks like it has a little patio area also to enjoy some good food. Walking into the restaurant, they have a open floor with lots of tables. They have a full salsa bar with green, red salsa and even Sriracha. Checking out the menu plenty of choices but I was here for the bean and cheese. I did check out some of the other orders that came around like the taco salad, it looked like a ton of food. I got my bean and cheese to go and it was much bigger than I thought. It even came with chips which was unexpected and appreciated. The burrito was pretty delicious and the tortilla was a bit on the dry side but adding a little salsa will do the trick. I do wish I could of just got the burrito enchilada style but it was around $3 which is close to the price of the burrito itself. Regardless good burrito, but not something that would make me go out of way to get. All around good place for good Mexican food. I do think I'm basing my review on just one item which was good and if I'm in the area again, I would give them a shot again read more

Disappointed This was my second visit to the Burrito Company and I hate to say it but both visits were disappointing. The Burrito Company officers a large menu but the final product wasn't very good. On this visit I had the Bean and Cheese Burtito with sour cream. The beans really did not have any flavor and it tasted as if the flour tortilla wasn't fully cooked, the tortilla tasted somewhat "doughy ". First time trying this place and overall pretty tasty! I got a carne asada burrito chimichanga style, add cheese, side of guacamole. The total was just shy of $13! That seemed a little steep for a fast casual meal. Yes I added cheese, a side of guacamole and I felt the charge for those were reasonable however they charge $3.69 to make it chimichanga style. I knew this when I ordered but I was more curious to see if there was something special about this chimichanga over others because if I recall to make a burrito a chimichanga it would be dropped in hot oil and fried. Why this costs $3.69 is beyond me. With that said the portions are generous. The taste was good and it was ready relatively quick. I will be back and try other things as their menu is large and there are plenty of options. read more
