I just picked up my order about an hour before closing time. This was my first time trying Fransisco's in Maricopa. The restaurant was empty except for a mom and her little kid sitting at a table. There was a teenaged girl directly behind the counter sweeping and talking to a teenaged boy who was standing off to the side. I figured maybe he worked there too. I stood at the counter for a couple minutes while the girl employee continued to sweep the same area right in front of me while she kept talking to the guy. She never once said anything or even acknowledged my existence even though she could see me standing 2 feet right in front of her. I finally said hello and she instantly said I'll be right with you and kept on doing what she was doing. She finally decided she was ready to help me and treated me like I was in wrong for being there to pick up my order. I asked the boy if he worked there too. The girl said he was just there stopping by. I told her I was trying to do the same. Standards for customer service are really low these days but this girl still managed to make a bad impression. First time we ordered here the food was good but portions average, we ordered again today and we get our order and there's multiple hairs in both my plate and my husbands plate!!! Multiple!! We were able to get a refund but it's sad, we will not be eating here anymore! read more

This was my first time actually inside the restaurant and I was dumbfounded by how clean it was, especially on a Saturday. The service was great--the cashier was super friendly as she took my order, and the food, as always, was exceptional. I ordered a Chimi to go, and it was enough to save for leftovers later. Atmosphere - Maricopa and John Wayne Pkwy is filled with a ton of strip malls, and this one is tucked behind a chain Chinese fast food place which hides them.  It also can make it difficult to navigate around in the parking lot.  The inside is pretty plain, nothing special.  I understand Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen here, but this place was a ghost town.  Someone else did walk in after I finished up with the cashier to pick up her food as well. Dinner - I read several articles on burrito in the Phoenix area, and learned about the Arizona Burrito.  Goggle defines indicates the burrito that is filled with carne asada, pico de gallo, potatoes and cheese.  I love carne asada, so this was a no brainer for me.  Potatoes is a filler item to me.  The potatoes where cubed as if home fries, which made feel I was eating a breakfast burrito.  Do not worry about that.  There is so much meat you will forget about everything else.  The burrito was warmed up on the flat top a little too much and thus the half star deduction.  This was a monster burrito if you could not tell from price of $8. Service - I called my order in.  The gentleman that answer I could tell English was not his primary language.  Which is fine, I can only speak one language.  So I place the order for the burrito but no name or phone number was asked.  I arrived and I told the cashier what I called it and she went to find it.  I had a minute wait which was not bad.  For I all know they could have been warming it up.  The burrito was still very hot when I unwrapped the paper from the burrito. We always enjoy the food at Francisco's. The tacos de Cabeza, Tripa, and carne asada are fantastic. The carne asada burrito is big enough for my wife and I. Very filling. And the menudo for those that like it... it's pretty darn good. Lots of meat and it has very good flavor. We have tried it at other places here and Maricopa and the juice stinks and they give very little meat. read more

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of such a delicious breakfast burrito. It was easy to order, the place looks very busy but at the same time, it's foot traffic did not compromise its cleanliness. The first bite I took of the burrito was reallly good. My son got a burrito from here today, and usually they're pretty damn good, not today. I hate writing these types of reviews. But when your quality falls below the standard it should be noted. I don't know what's changed, but it's sad. I understand that the price for ingredients went up, but that shouldn't fall onto the quality of food you out out. Burritos aren't even burritos what am I paying for, I bet if the staff made themselves food, they would make it with care, they would fill the burrito up. I'm also sure that management doesn't care, I wouldn't be surprised if the owner looked passed this review. But I digress, the quality of food now sucks. We've been to this establishment before, but it really has gone downhill. First, we made the mistake of dining in because the kiddos were "STARVING". The AC must not be working because it was sweltering! My husband got the carne asada burrito, which he said was, "fine". My son got the rolled tacos with guacamole. Their guacamole was nothing more than liquidy avocados with very little flavor. I ordered a plain quesadilla because I wasn't terribly hungry. There was hardly any cheese on the darn thing. I don't know why I had not stopped in to Francisco's sooner, having lived in Maricopa since 2017 and driven past it countless times. I think its just that we have so many other like mexican places and this one is a bit off the main path that I travel. I finally stopped and the shredded beef burrito is by far the best that I have had in the city, with the sauteed peppers and onions along with the beef it was a wonderful surprise that I will be back for many times in the future. Just ok on average. Carne Asada didn't appear like grilled steak. Rather, it was a portion of pre-cooked small pieces that someone put on a hot skillet to warm them up. Tasted fine. This place is absolutely disgusting. The food was terrible and greasy, and the bathrooms are horrible. The door on the bathroom is broken and the sink is so disgusting I COULDNT WASH MY HANDS. I am appreciative and grateful for many things present in my life. I was sitting at a local high school basketball game in my town the other night and over heard a few people from the visiting team talk about how this "placed sucked." Not the school but rather the city- which I live in. They went on, poking fun, laughing and taking shots at not only the city, but the people. Making accusations, generalizing and just being idiots. Their team lost the game. By 25 points. A couple players, from their team were ejected...T'd up. Nothing is tastier then the palatableness of satisfaction... Okay. Nuff of that. (Exit soap box) My point is- appreciate where you live, what you have or have not. Be kind. Humble. Grateful. Granted, I live in a small town just outside of the PHX...with way too many pizza parlors, dentists...."fast food" and really not much going on in terms of variety and intrigue. Luckily I'm not far from civilization. But still- I'm grateful. Side tracked again. Sorry. Francisco's. IMO- the best mexican taqueria in Maricopa; friendly, plenty of seating, great paintings & good...solid, fill your belly fast food. Excellent Menudo.
