Today was the first time I experienced Nando's brunch. I ordered their Sonoran Eggs Benedict with Carnitas. I was truly impressed, the eggs were poached to perfection the hollandaise sauce was delicioso. The service is always amazing! Logan and the crew are always friendly and attentive. We've been loyal fans of Nando's for years and have visited several of their locations love the Chandler location -- all far superior to the Maricopa one. Unfortunately, this particular restaurant has been consistently disappointing. We've given it more than a fair chance -- at least ten visits -- and the kitchen continues to be hit or miss. The service is usually friendly and attentive, but the food quality just isn't consistent. We've had everything from cold, mediocre meals to incorrect orders. On our most recent visit, I ordered the Mexican pizza -- the cheese was melted, but everything inside was cold. The biggest issue lately has been the chips. It's clear the oil hasn't been changed regularly -- the last three times we've been in, the chips tasted like they were fried in old oil. It's such a shame, because Nando's red hot sauce is still the best around and remains our favorite part of the meal. We really hope management takes a closer look at kitchen operations and food quality, because Maricopa deserves the same great experience that other Nando's locations deliver. We'd love to come back and enjoy Nando's the way we used to. read more

It was my first time trying Nando's and I loved it! Delicious food. The chips and salsa were so yummy, especially the hot salsa. I got the fried tilapia tacos and they were decent. The rice and beans had really great flavor.. But I was honestly jealous of my boyfriend's enchiladas though, they looked amazing! I will be back for those!! I'll be honest, it pains me to write this review. I've been eating at Nando's for 20 years, primarily the one in Gilbert but over the years I've eaten at all of them. I have ordered food from this location on DoorDash and while something did seem off I chalked it up to it being delivered . Today was my first dine in experience with this location and my fears have been confirmed. The food just isn't the same. I typically order the green chili pork chimi border style. The filling was bland and lacked flavor or spiciness. The chips and salsa also seemed to miss the mark. The staff and the service was friendly, fast and efficient. We go to the Nando's in Maricopa once a week & have been regular patrons for ever since you opened. There are typically 10-12 in our party each week. The service is pretty good most all the time. We are always happy when we sit in Cory's section. We have noticed the food quality has been poor & inconsistent over the past few weeks. The taco I ordered last week was so skimpy with the meat. The portion of meat was no more than a tablespoon & put in the center so each bite on the ends had nothing but a crunch. Sometimes the flavor is too spicy hot or shredded beef is more like a pate. I stopped ordering tacos. Others in the group had similar feedback. Last night was absolutely the worst. The chips were rancid like they used really old grease to fry the chips. We waited for more chips but they never came before our food was served. We asked about our chips as our food was being served and it was a waste because we were eating the meal when the new chips came out after waiting 45 minutes for them. The happy hour menu is great but we ordered extra meat on the quesadillas & still didn't have meat in the outer pieces. It was all bunched up in the middle 2 pieces. As I said, we are regular patrons and last night, at the end of dinner, we made plans to do our weekly dinner at another restaurant next week. I'm not saying that we will never go back because we like the ambience & friendliness from the front of the house staff. I hope next time we visit again, the back of the house issues are resolved. Should've just stayed home. I came out to have a margarita and celebration of Cinco de Mayo. Big mistake. This is the closest place to where I was staying and the pictures look pretty promising. It took me an exasperatedly long time to even get seen by any staff members and when I finally did receive my drink it was awful. It was so watery I literally had to ask for more flavoring there was absolutely no requila in it. Like I honestly felt offended that I was served that. Let me start by saying that the staff is not the reason for a one star rating because they were all polite and attentive! Also, the seating outside is nice & they are pet friendly! What wasn't great was the food. While it was nice and hot, the flavor was not there. We ordered the birria taco platter & at $17 a plate we were expecting more. You get two tacos that didn't seem fried like it says, the beef had NO flavor, and the consume was pretty flavorless as well. I didn't finish my plate. Went here spur of the moment. Not many people were there so was seated right away. Prices were a little high but if you get there before 4 you can get pretty decent lunch prices. Our server was really nice but often forgetful and we had to keep reminding her about of things we asked for. I'd expect that if it was super busy but the place was pretty empty at the time we went. Place was decorated nicely and I really liked the murals on the wall representing our town. I didn't go over to the other side of the restaurant so can't speak on how the bar is. I love coming here during the week. The restaurant is always clean and I get seated and served so quickly. The food all tasted perfect today. The rice tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. We typically have a good experience at Nando's but last evening we were very disappointed. We sat at our table for a while before someone took our drink order while the staff was hanging out at the bar and hostess table. You had more staff than customers and it was obvious they were bored. Went on a Friday during beginning of happy hour and was seated quickly. Place is open and great ambiance. Nice and cool inside. Immediately get served chips and salsa and our drink order was taken. We decided to go with appetizers and the bean dip was a large bowl like the size of a cereal bowl full of jalapeño bean dip and it was so good. The chips were flour tortillas fried so a different texture from regular corn chips. We also went with the nachos and they were so good. They use fresh jalapeños and they were so good. Between both apps we didn't finish either. We tried their specialty drink of the day prickly pear vodka lemonade and it was ok but wouldn't order again. They say when you can't taste the alcohol that's when the drink is dangerous but not the case. Overall will go again. read more
