Dr. Robert Osher, my surgeon, has a reputation for being thorough, and it is certainly true. He took the time to explain everything, both before and after the procedure. It's hard to imagine anyone replacing him, but I hope he is training a new doctor to be as careful and attentive as he is. His assistant, Heather, really went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I had the medications I needed, monitor my eye pressure, and contact Dr. Osher with updates. She even helped me find a discount coupon so I could afford the eye drops I needed to bring my eye pressure down! She also went out of her way to ensure that I would get a refund after I was mistakenly charged a co-pay for a follow-up visit. She is so competent, capable, and kind that I hope she will consider becoming an eye doctor herself someday.

So when we walked in the door, we had everything ready and after using the bathroom, they were ready to see us! The waiting room is a digital Disney land of screens. The kids will not want to leave! Once we were with Dr. Burke (who came to get us from the waiting room- first time I've ever had that happen at an appointment for anything!) we were immediately put at ease by his playful and friendly demeanor. He made my 3 year old comfortable and kept him stimulated with lots of positive activities that doubled as eye exams. My son sat on my lap for the entire exam- which the front desk team had told me ahead of time (and that put me at ease, too). We know now why this doctor is so highly recommended and would like to join those in saying he does an amazing job at making a stressful experience very positive and making you feel well cared for.

Dr…read more Maryam Naqvi performed routine cataract surgery on my husband in May, 2025 at the Kenwood office. It was anything but routine, as she inserted another patient's lens into his eye, which was discovered during his 1week follow-up visit. She completed the replacement procedure for the wrong lens, but his cornea was scratched & iris torn during the process. A Midwest Eye Center Director performed emergency surgery later that day to avoid infection of the eye; and was under the Director's care for the next few weeks to monitor his eye healing. My husband is currently under care with different eye specialists as he slowly recovers. As Dr. Naqvi smiles confidently from the front cover of Cincinnati Magazine's 'Cincinnati Top Doctors' and on its pages. This is a locally, independently operated business and that truly shows. From the moment I called to inquire about an appointment I was very impressed with the staff. The receptionists were so very helpful, and they even had me speak with a technician to troubleshoot how emergent my issue was. They got me an appointment in a timely manner. On the day of my visit every one in the practice was wonderful. I was very impressed with Dr Howard! He took a reasonable yet efficient amount of time and had great "bedside" manner.
