    Spicy Margarita - Small

Round 2. I really wanted to like this place. But it's not an improvement from the first time I was there. Cons. Cold food. Cold plates. Bar slow. Took 12 mins for one margarita. Service slow. Beans are not good (taste cheap) and the rice was overcooked on a cold plate. Coffee came out after dessert was over. (Ordered together). Only pro is the churros. *This time I ordered green sauce. Highly recommend over the mole "red sauce".

The food was so good, flavorful, portions were big and it all was delicious and came out quick. The drinks were also very good, choose your own flavor margaritas, cold beers. Service was great too. It's a little hidden, you pull in and it looks like the church parking lot and then a residential road but keep going. They have a large patio area for outside dining too. Will definitely be back.

100% recommend this place. I am so glad I wasn't swayed away from trying this place out. This restaurant has its own little road that you have to drive down to get to the parking lot and entrance. You do have to go down a few steps to get to the entrance. They have a set up for outdoor for when the weather gets nicer. Greeted upon arrival and seated fairly quick. Our waitress was super friendly. The drinks were the perfect blend of tasty and strong. My sister and I both got large frozen margaritas. She got the mango and I got passion fruit. They serve complimentary nachos. We ordered the queso flameado as an appetizer and it was so good. The cheese was creamy and chorizo pieces in it just added to the flavor. The waitress recommended the molcajete special and it was delicious. The meats were cooked perfectly and it was enough to share for my sister and I since the appetizer was pretty filling. The meats were steak, chicken, and shrimp. The sides of rice and bean were also good. We agreed we have to return to try out other items.

This is a bar that makes its own tequila infusions and the restaurant noted for the freshness and quality of its ingredients. So, on a 20 degree day, we warmed up with a jalapeno and a coconut margarita (on the rocks). Then a chicken taco salad (with spring mix: no iceberg!) and 4 Mahi tacos with plenty of fish, the right sauces and sides. There was a single person covering lunch tables plus bar today, but we were covered well. For many years, we have never been disappointed here. (Caution: weekend evenings can get crowded)

Visited Cinco De Mayo for the first time on Thursday night. We had a reservation but at 6:45 it was fairly empty. We took our seats and decided on our drink orders. It was still happy hour so several had both regular and frozen margaritas. For dinner I had the beef chimichanga...first time having and it was done well with good flavor. A lot of food, way more than someone could eat in one sitting. Another in our group had the tacos el pastor which had a nice presentation and were enjoyed. 2 others had the quesadilla el pastor, also large portions. 1 had a cheese quesadilla and chicken quesadilla. All food came with the usual sides of lettuce, sour cream, and pico. Food was enjoyed by all! Great Mexican food, cool cantina vibes. It got crowded as we were leaving. Definitely looks like a great party spot in the summers and nicer weather.

Decided to come here on a whim and I'm glad I checked it out! This place has beautiful decor outside and inside. Once we were seated we were given chips and salsa. Parking: This spot has its own private lot which is nice. It's a medium sized lot it can only fit 10-15 cars max. Price: The food ranges from the $11-30 range. The majority of the entrees are in the $20 range (tacos, burritos, salads). Quality: I had the shrimp salad in a taco bowl. The salad was fresh and the taco shell was easy to eat. I liked it and would definitely get it again! For dessert I tried the churros and they were warm and complemented the ice cream well. Overall I recommend this spot! The staff was very friendly and i enjoyed looking at the beautiful decorations. I do think there are even cheaper options out there but it's worth checking out at least once!

Drinks were good. Happy hour prices even better. Food was decent but not my favorite. Wait staff was friendly and the ambience is fun Of course can get super noisy. I prefer to come in the summer so we could sit outside

Every time we come here the food and drinks are always good. Probably one of the best Mexican restaurant in the area. They always provide chips and salsa which are always fresh. I love nachos and their nachos are always on point. I will say their menus is a bit limited but I don't mind. Definitely worth stopping by, they also have an outdoor patio.

Let's talk hidden gems! This place is amazing! From the minute you walk in or even drive up. Maybe I'm wrong, because I'm not exactly a local, but this place is a bit out of the way. (Thus the "hidden" in gem) But from the minute you drive up, (Valet on busy nights) you're greeted with smiles. The host or hostess seated us promptly. Cool murals on the walls lending to what I consider and authentic style. The bar has an Spring outdoor feel. There's a balcony that I want to try, it just looks like it would be cool. The drinks were amazing. We tried the Stawberry Mango Marg and just a Mango Marg. The tableside guac was delicious, we get it mild for the better half. Then we tried the quesadilla, enchilada and Chuleta Mixteca. The Chuleta Mixteca was the star of the show. Again, we had to dumb it down for the better half and ask for it mild, so we got a caramelized onion concoction with sweet peppers. But outside the small adjustment, the pork was... Perfect... Nothing else I can say. It spoke for itself. You got to try it! Too full for dessert this time. Will be back though

I wish I liked this place more. You have to drive down a narrow, hidden path to this house and walk down into what feels like a basement apartment. It opens up into a decent sized dining room. We sat at the bar even though the restaurant only had two other families dining. The man didn't offer his name, but he was kind and pretty attentive, but spent most of his time with the table behind us. The margaritas were good. I had the passion fruit one and my husband had a regular. The salsa was my first red flag m, but I was starving and ate too much of it. The salsa tasted very much like a tomato purée or paste. The queso was the biggest disappointment of the afternoon. Mexican cheese and chorizo - how could you hate it?! It was grainy and the chunks of chorizo could have been regular plain sausage because honestly it had no flavor. The portions are large. The burrito was delicious, but the rice was a strange texture and I just couldn't get into it. My husband said the same thing and that his chimichangas were great. $75 for 2 margaritas, queso and 2 entrees took me by surprise. I didn't realize when we ordered that my beef burrito was $20 and my husband's chimichangas were $18. Unfortunately not worth it for me to return.

Great food and service. It a difficult place to find, it's at the end of a long driveway. But it's well worth it.

We ask if they have outdoor seating and they tell us they do, then they proceed to seat us in an area with windows and ceiling! And right next to a large and very loud Bridal shower (that would have been nice to know, we would have asked to be seated as far away as humanly possible.) Then we sit for 30 solid minutes without a peep from ANYONE. Then suddenly a confused looking young lady steps up and informs us "no one told her we were here." Guess that's OUR problem? Placed a drink order and another 20 minutes passes when I am informed it is no longer on tap. Drinks finally arrive, the "Craftsman IPA" is flat and "off" tasting. White wine was warm as if it was sitting in the sun. Food was not much better sadly. The Calamari was flavorless and tough - apparently someone forgot the Asian drizzle that was supposed to go on it. It was also that "fake" calamari where every piece is exactly the same size and shape. The "stuffed" meatballs were stuffed - with air! Literally nothing but a hole in the middle. The artichoke and crab dip had a strong fishy taste, it was so bad I feared it was tainted. To their credit they took it off the bill, eventually. And from the moment our drinks arrived earlier,, our server never once checked back on us for another drink, do we need anything, how is everything etc. Hey Craftsman - do better! Maybe some training in the kitchen and out on the floor is in order.

The event was well organized, moved at a good pace, and had a fun atmosphere without feeling chaotic or overwhelming. I love events like this because even if you're not good at trivia, you can still enjoy yourself and be part of the experience. The staff was great, and our waitress was especially friendly and attentive throughout the night. I also really liked the interior. The wood aesthetic gives the place a warm, cozy feel that makes you want to hang out for a while. I ordered the wings and fries. As someone who is extremely picky about both, I was pleasantly surprised. The fries were fantastic--crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and they tasted like they were cooked in fresh oil, which makes a huge difference to me. Honestly, they were some of the better fries I've had in a while. The wings had good flavor, although the chicken itself was a little dry. I'm usually a dry-rub kind of girl, but I do enjoy a good garlic parmesan wing every now and then. These were good, but not the best garlic parm wings I've ever had. I've definitely had better. That said, the seasoning was tasty, and I still enjoyed them overall. Between the friendly service, the comfortable atmosphere, and the fun trivia night, I'd definitely come back. Even if my trivia skills never improve, the experience alone is worth it.
