Today was Tuesday, and I was hankering for tacos nearby. Grab N Go? Torchy's? Nah, not bad but overpriced. Then I read what y'all had to say about Cinco's and had to try it. Glad I did! Got four quesobirria tacos to go for only $13. Deeelish and stuffed generously. I know the cup of braising liquid they give you is the tradition for dipping sauce but honestly, each taco was already so beefy and juicy they needed no extra dunk. Saved that though, in case I get thirsty later. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only advice: stay and eat at one of the shaded picnic tables in front of the truck. They use styrofoam to-go containers, and those make ANY crispy food sweat as if they arrived in a wet sauna.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Why 5 stars? Because the quesabirria hit the spot. --- --- --- My wife and I were heading back home from Houston and I wasn't really hungry for dinner after a heavy, late lunch. I just wanted some cookies, so we stopped at a nearby place for just that. As we were walking in, my wife said, "I think I actually want something savory more than sweet". Like Pavlov's dog, I *immediately* also wanted something savory. We skipped the cookie idea and decided to swing by this food truck instead. It's hard for me to resist ordering quesabirria when I see it on a menu, and there was no temptation to sway from that here. This meal was exactly what I was looking for: delicious sustenance, but not an overwhelming amount of food. And while there is another food truck that still holds the G.O.A.T. status when it comes to quesabirria, I think Cinco De Mayo is solidly in the running for the 2nd or 3rd best that I've tried. I personally prefer tipping in salsa over what normally comes with quesabirria. I know that's kind of the whole thing that makes the dish what it is, but I've never been one to be swayed by what everyone else is doing. The green sauce was delicious and an ideal pairing, IMO. Now, did I wake up at 2am with heartburn because I have a faulty esophagus? YEAH. But was it all worth it? You bet.

Yalllll if I could give this place 10 stars I would!!!! I have been searching and searching for a bomb taco spot in houston near me, and I have found it! I see why they have all the stars!!! I came here a little before they opened so waited in my car. As soon as they opened, popped over and ordered some fajita beef tacos, gahhh....I wish I ordered more!!! They were the perfect size street style taco, with fresh onion, cilantro, limes and a sauce on the side. The meat oh man oh man the meat was so tender!! And it was seasoned so well to absolute perfection! And I do not say that often!! I had also dropped off tacos to my friend, and got a call minutes later saying the exact same thing and where could they go get more! I was hesitant to share the exact geo, but sharing is caring! Love that there's some outdoor seating so that you can enjoy the food there in the shade. Also, plenty of parking as they're located in a shopping strip!

10/10!!! I came here on 1/12/22 for the first time since moving to the area. I previously tried another food truck that was closer to my area (like 5 minutes away) but I knew there was better out there so I kept looking - and found this gem! It is further (about 20 minutes from me) but I would make that drive ANY DAY for their tacos! The wait was decent, it was a little chilly so after we ordered we waited in the car. It was about a 10 minute wait so not bad at all. The service was also great and the man who took the order was very funny and personable. We got the Al Pastor tacos & of course the birria tacos. The Al Pastor was TOP NOTCH! I'm a HUGE taco connoisseur and taco lover. They made them so perfect. Their birria tacos - WHEW! Definitely in my top 2 (compared to this spot I went to in San Antonio) and I've been to a lot of taco trucks for birria. They were greatly packed with flavor, cheese, cilantro and onions, just how I like it. The consomé was also very flavorful! I'm telling y'all, these tacos are TOP TIER. This will probably be my new spot for birria tacos so thank you to the owners/cooks for this food truck. Y'all have a new long term customer!

Tacos de pastor were amazing! Get corn (maíz) taste way better! My friend got the tacos de birria and she loved them. They have a few picnic tables and string of lights so the atmosphere is cute. Can't complain about the service.

If you're looking for a taco food truck near Spring, this is it!! I got the pastor quesadilla which was delicious! Unfortunately it downpoured while we were waiting for the food, but there is a little covered area next to the truck where we were able to sit to eat and wait out the storm. Would definitely try again!

Man oh man!!!!! I casually stumbled upon this taco truck, gotta be the best tacos I've legit ever had aside from my moms. So amazingly delicious, safe to say my stomach is extremely pleased with me. Heard about this "gem " on the net , so we decided to try it since we live 5 min. away. We ordered : 2 burritos one with chicken and one with fajitas cost $17.00 dollars plus tax plus process fee of .39 cents .50 cents for extra beans+ 2.90 tip( if you use a credit card ,no drink were ordered $22.23 to go. On my ticket was 2 Quesadilla, torta, burrito which I did not order. The burritos were full of meat and soggy with the tortilla having no substance like a chewed piece of gum ! No prices anywhere ,seems like you roll the dice when it comes to what you are charged . Could not finish my burrito too mushy for my taste Would not go back ! Checked my receipt when I got home and it looks like we paid for someone else's food. Felipe behind the counter was too busy behind the counter and finally took our order ,very rushed even though we told him we were new customers and didn't see any prices. He had a very impatient look on his face and kept waiting on other customers. Not my Mexican food ! read more

I've been to this place a couple of times now. The birria tacos are great! My favorite is the torta with fajita and gorditas with chicharron (chicharron is really spicy but good). I did try the Mexican burger and it was just ok. I was expecting jalapeños in it but it didn't have any. The only thing I don't like is that there's no menu with prices or descriptions at all. The only menu is what's written on the outside of the truck. It would be helpful to post at least the prices on a paper and tape it on the window or even just post it online. I like knowing how much I'm spending before I order. read more

One of our family faves for cheat meals . You can't go wrong with the quesabirria tacos & their hamburger & papitas. Mirrrrraaaa!!! You have to get their Agua de Pina. Do not leave this place without the quesabirria tacos!! Dip them in and then taste a piece of heaven! Apologies for not posting pictures but you can't go wrong picking Cinco De Mayo. I didn't want fries, so I subbed for the lemon potatoes. The gyro was very large and filling, and tasty. The pieces of meat were just shaved and not crispy or anything like you may receive on some gyro at other places. The potatoes were homemade and basically 1/4 potatoes, sliced lengthwise. I was so full from the gyro that I only ate one of the potatoes but didn't think it was very lemony at all. Customer service was excellent the entire time and they will even come to your table and take your plate away as if they are full service, which they aren't . I also ordered a slice of coconut cream pie, or at least that's what they said it was. It had no cream in it and appeared to be a coconut custard pie not that different than the one I make at home. It was delicious as well.

The blue fin tuna tostados were delightful and hands down the best dish we had. Ceviche mixto was excellent with a just a hint of heat. I would order these two appetizer dishes again. Main courses consisted of duck 2 ways, redfish with green mole and risotto, spring cavatelli, and grilled shrimp & pork belly. All were delicious and uniquely tasty with the exception of the duck. Mind you, I really like duck and the sliced portions were excellent and perfectly seasoned and moist, but the pate-like accompaniment was not that good, plus the mole sauce was not what I was expecting. Table sides of Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower were good but nothing special. The Eton Mess with strawberries was simply delicious. Would I go back? Maybe, but not anytime soon.
