Not that good. I got chicken quesadillas. I've had really good ones at other places, like El Azteca in Clarksville, Maryland, but here they weren't very good. All they did was put a tortilla on the grill, cook a chicken breast, cut it into chucks and throw on tortilla, with a little bit of cheese. Several pieces of chicken were grisly and that was it for me. I've been here before and wasn't impressed then either, but it had been a really long time so I thought I'd give them another chance... My husband and I decided to try Cinco De Mayo last week. When we first got to the restaurant where they have their hostess station is kinda ridiculous and I think the restaurant itself could be laid out better because as soon as you walk in there is a hostess station and a booth. We were sat at the third booth right by the door which was kind of annoying to me because I'm used to normal patrons getting up to leave or being seated but I felt like there was just too much foot traffic and too much commotion right by my table. I didn't like that. I used to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and I'm not even quite sure how you'd comfortably get a wheel chair in and out of that space. It's possible but something I know I wouldn't personally want to deal with. The restaurant itself was decorated nicely and was clean but the way it's laid out I know they are trying to utilize space but it could've been done better. When we got there, it took a few minutes for our waitress to see us. When we she came, she was very sweet and brought us their complementary chips and salsa. Their salsa was good, but the chips literally tasted like they dumped a whole container of salt on them. It was so much salt that you felt you wanted to drink a whole bottle of water after one chip. After she brought us the chips she came to take our order. Here's what I have a problem with... I ordered steak tacos with the corn tortillas as I heard they were really good. However, when I asked what came on it they said just the steak! Uhhhh, I've never known tacos to not come with lettuce, tomato or cheese. So I requested that I get lettuce, tomatoes and cheese to go with my tacos and she said it would be $.80 per topping! I think that's a little ridiculous. Granted the plate she brought out with the topics it had A LOT of toppings definitely worth $.80 but I just feel when you order something like tacos the toppings should be included whether you request them or not. Let it be the patrons choice. Because for the money you pay for the tacos not to get anything on them, I didn't think it would be worth it. I mean, for pete's sake, when you look up the taco emoji on a phone it has lettuce and tomato....haha! However, with all of that being said, the steak was very good and tender and they even doubled the shell. So instead of one tortilla the steak was actually put in two tortillas per taco. My husband got a combo meal that had like a burrito and something else which I believe was a quesadilla and he said it was good as well and thought for his meal it was fair priced. While we were waiting on food, I was a little shocked that the management/wait staff just allow people to walk in the door to go to the bar while yelling, "who wants to do shots!?!" I'm all for a good time and meeting new people and stuff but I think people also need to remember that others are there to spend time with their loved ones and have a nice dinner without a lot of distractions/drama. If I was the management I would've just asked the guy to please dial it down a notch. I mean, I could understand maybe if it was a Friday night and it was a long week or something but a Tuesday night and you're like 35 years old?! I think I was also annoyed with this guy because we waited a good while for refills and I'm the type of person that if you keep our drinks filled, you'll get a good tip but you only fill them once or check on us once the whole meal, chances are you're not going to be happy with your tip. All in all, the food was good and it was an OK experience but I definitely didn't feel the hype or excitement that everyone else claims to get about this place. I was actually, honestly, a little disappointed because everyone we talk too rants and raves about this place. We also know people that wait outside on busy nights since there is literally no place to wait which is another thing I don't like and think it's not really properly coded by ADA's standards but that's just me. I personally, wasn't in love with this place and if we go again and say we had to wait, I'd rather go to another restaurant then wait outside because I personally don't think it's worth it. So with all things added up together, I gave this restaurant a 2 star because even though our actual meals were good and the place was clean; I feel like the seating arrangements, distractions, having to pay extra for toppings for tacos and the lack of attention from our waitress was enough to really make our visit not quite a good one. I would've gave them a 3 star if maybe they just opened and didn't have a groove set for themselves yet but they've been open long enough that there should be no excuses. Next time I'll just save my trouble & continue going to Papa Joe's which has not only amazing food, but amazing service and is a more friendly atmosphere to all people. read more

Don't get the Carne Asade. It was two thin pieces of charred nonsense. Nothing else had much flavor either; I think it's to please all the palette-less people of Westminster. The alcohol is watered down and over priced. Every drink was a splash of liquor, a load of mixer, and dropped in a pile of ice. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Went there last night with my Hubby while my son was at a school dance for the 1st time. Have been excited about trying the place out because I am a Mexican food lover. I ordered my favorite dish, Flautas. They looked amazing, cooked perfectly. hen i took a bite to have a very long curly black hair pull out in my mount. BARF!!! My husband & I were shocked. The server did not seem concerned in the least bit. He got me a new order needles to say. Nothing was taken off the check & no apology for the hair in my food, no manager came to my table to assure me it was a one time thing. Tried this place for the first time. It was awesome! Tried the guacamole based on previous reviews and it really was wonderful. We both had the arroz con camerones and it was cooked well and was a large portion. The margaritas were tasty and served in a large glass. Well we finally went there. The food was decent and the service was good but that is about all I can say about this place. Decent food for an ok price just don't go to the bathroom. Going down the hallway the side door was open a bit which is why they had a few flies in the place. Also the bus boy cart was there with dirty dishes and food on the floor. We live walking distance and were so happy that Cinco de Mayo opened. Was a little concerned it was so close to Papa Joes but I think Papa Joes should be concerned. Cinco had an excellent margarita which Westminster didn't even have a place that had a good one until now. Cheese dip was the white kind which is my favorite and salsa was good as well. I'm going to be honest- I can always judge how good the food is going to be by how much I like the chips and salsa. Fortunately, the chips were hot, the salsa was fresh and had the perfect amount of onions and cilantro. I was in heaven! (I could make a meal out of chips and salsa) My first meal was the fish tacos. The fish was perfectly cooked and deliciously tasty! My second meal was a combination platter. My favorite was the chile relleno! The rice is great too. We have eaten in once and gotten carryout once. The food was amazing both times and the service incredible. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. I am a Westminster native and never thought I would say this, but it is the BEST Mexican food in the area. It beats Papa Joe's across the street and Montezuma's in Gettysburg. Terrible service and food. Ordered guacamole shrimp salad with ranch dressing and chicken fajitas. When they brought the salad out they said that they were out of ranch. Their answer was to offer ever other salad dressing which I do not eat. They just said they were sorry. Yes, I agree they are sorry. They could have come out and said that they were out of ranch maybe you would like to change your order but no it was dropped off by one waiter and when we told our waiter we just got sorry. It wasn't eaten but was paid for. This was rediculous. You shouldn't leave a restaurant paying for something you didn't eat because it was an incomplete order and still hungry. Went for lunch, chip and salsa was very good had the table side guacamole which was good also. Ordered the lunch chicken fajita which were a disappointment. It comes on a plate with beans and lettuce and a small amount of pico. I like my fajitas to come out sizzling on a red hot skillet. The fajita mix cooled off very quickly. The service was ok could have been quicker. The ladies room was dirty and had a inch of standing water on the floor I don't know what that was about. I'm on a roll lately with great meals thanks to yelp. And this time it's Mexican! There really is nothing like authentic Mexican fare. It's the combination of starchy carbs crossed with meat and cheese that really attracts me to this cuisine. But it doesn't matter cuz I'm hooked. The wife ordered steak and sausage tacos which were dynamite. And I ordered the Mexican favorite which is a whole heaping of onions and peppers topped with different proteins and seafood. A meal fit for a Mexican King. Unfortunately on the first go round the chicken tasted very tough and bland (minus one star). So we sent the meal back for steak and it was much better. Of course the chips and salsa are give in. And the service was actually very good and the place was clean. So yeah if your looking for great, authentic Mexican this is your spot.
