a plate of food on a table

To start the chips and salsa were amazing. With the first bite you could tell that it was made fresh. The flavor was amazing. The Good tasting margaritas always help too, next time we will try some of their signature drinks. We Ordered shrimp and fish taco's which were very good. The Chile de nogada, Again bursting with flavor, not just your average dish by any stretch. The staff was very friendly, they came by to check on us a few times and strike up a conversation. And chef Jorge even stepped out of the busy kitchen and took the time to see how we like the food. He has a passion for his Kraft and Sharing it with his patrons. The last picture I can only describe as the following way. I know it Doesn't look like much but What it is what is left of a beef enchilada and the Mole sauce. The Mole sauce which is what we were most impressed with. Subtle flavor of sweetness but then layered with paprika, hint of chocolate and other spices. Wow. !!!! We will definitely be back. Before we could leave we were once again tempted by the offerings of his kitchen, Yes the Flan, OMG. It was a Dense custard that had a sweet caramel coating. I should have snapped a few more pics but oh well, perhaps if you are in the area just stop by yourself

A simple dinner invitation left me wondering where the heck I was after what I will call Mr. Toad's Wild Ride to LunaZul. Do you ever think Google maps is run by kids sitting in cubes laughing as they get people lost? Once I found this destination after a trek through county horse and corn fields, as well as a hemp field my olfactory nerve recognized right away, it was time to exhale and have a Mojito! Don't let this unassuming little restaurant in a strip mall fool you. I would gladly get lost all over again to get here. The Cali Burrito was delicioso with shredded beef and side of Queso. I spooned some salsa over it for an extra kick of que rico! The guacamole was fresh with generous lumps of avocado. The soup? Yummers! This place is worth the drive, which is beautiful btw!

I love Mexican, but LunaZul is just okay. It's far better when you eat in versus when you get carry out. The food in the restaurant is really good, but the carry out is mediocre at best. Maybe it's a temperature thing? I don't know, but every time I get carry out, I swear I won't go back. The table service is good, but service at the carry out counter always leaves something to be desired. It either takes forever to be noticed and waited on, or you show up on time to pick up and your food's been sitting forever.

We ordered from this restaurant after passing by it numerous times. We ordered the yucantanes enchiladas, a Mexican sampler, a beef and cheese empanada, and a kids cheese quesadilla. The food was about average for Mexican food. The yucantanes enchiladas were good and different from the typical Mexican menu. The rice was a little under done. The Mexican sampler was kind of bland. The empanada had a corn dough which was different than usual but a little too doughy. Overall this establishment has decent food but would probably go elsewhere for Mexican food.

    Weekend specials are so amazing!!

It is always a truly amazing experience when we eat at Luna Zul. From Margaritas, to entrees and phenomenal desserts. We have never been disappointed and are always salivating to return.

Yes, however it is small (maybe 5-6 seats) and it is not separated from the dining room.

I could tell from other conversations throughout the restaurant that the other servers were equally kind to their patrons. The decor is beautiful! I feel like I don't usually see restaurants with such a strong aesthetic in the Fulton area. I think the ambiance created by the decor definitely heightened my experience. Now, for the food. What we ordered: - Traditional Country Spinach Pie - Falafel - Spicy Lamb Beef Dip - Grilled Octopus - Grilled Salmon - Chicken Tenderloin - Athenian Shrimp The spinach pie and falafel were standard; good, but nothing to write home about. The spicy lamb dip was my party's favorite mezze. I feel that Cypriana does meats very well (especially the grilled ones). But the dishes were brought down by the sides. The grilled salmon, octopus, and chicken were all delicious! However, the red quinoa mixture tasted incredibly earthy. I did not enjoy it, but some healthier members of my party did haha. The chicken and fries was probably the best pairing (and child-approved!). Regarding the "Athenian Shrimp": Upon some research, I believe this is the restaurant's interpretation of Garides Saganaki. The restaurant served the sauce on a bed of pilaf. From my understanding, shrimp saganaki is more commonly (not exclusively) eaten as a dip with bread. Of course, there's no "wrong" way to serve anything, but the rice paired with the Athenian Shrimp was incredibly moist to the point of distraction. The sauce was very good, but I found myself eventually eating around the rice because the wet texture was so off-putting. I think the sauce would have been better paired with a pasta, pita, or baguette.

Then nothing happened. The few servers moved slowly and although they passed near our table on several occasions, none had the courtesy to even tell us, "Someone will be with you shortly" or something. Thankfully, the runner who seated us, (a kind and helpful gentlemen who got a separate tip) noticed and got Daniel to visit our table. My gin martini was excellent and the water was cold. We ordered several plates, which arrived rather quickly. The homemade hummus with the carrots and pickled onions was fantastic. We'd take creamy and delicious hummus like that any day. The deviled eggs were wonderful and came with an extra kick thanks to the jalapeno. Gnocchi with parmesan, carrots, and asparagus was creamy, comforting, and filling. The lamb over hummus, with their rich homemade gravy, rivaled any amazing lamb dish I had anywhere. The portions were phenomenal. I have been to places that give half as much with the same prices. The chef and kitchen staff are incredible. We'll definitely return to try new dishes but we hope the service is much improved.

Its…read moreusually hard to get a breakfast buffet wrong but unfortunately this buffet experience was lackluster. They offered a variety of items: deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, chicken and waffles, beef and chorizo quesadillas, sausage, home fries, and French toast. They advertised fruit salad on the menu but they didn't have it out on the day we went. For starters, the food was lukewarm. Everything could have tasted so much better if it was warm. Even when they would refill the pans, everything was still not warm enough. The restaurant was not packed but they were slow to refill for the parties that were there. When we tried to go back for a second plate, most of the items weren't replenished and the line was getting longer. It was so bad that one group asked to pay for their drinks and leave because they weren't able to get any food. My option of each item: Deviled eggs- yolk mixture was on the drier side and bland Scrambled eggs- they were ok. Just needed to be warm Chicken and waffles- it was giving "chicken tender on eggo waffle" chicken was better than the bland waffle. It also didn't help that the syrup they had was cold and thick. It made the waffle (and French toast) colder and hard to swallow. French toast- the first batch was (with the exception of being cold) perfectly cooked and dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. The refill batches were so burnt and hard to chew and they didn't bother putting powdered sugar on them. Again, the cold syrup didn't help. Beef and chorizo quesadillas- they may have been a crowd favorite because getting a second serving was hard because they kept going quickly and took a while to replenish. They just needed to be warmer and served with sour cream. Home fries- great with the peppers and onions. Just need to be warmer. Sausage- my least favorite thing because it didn't taste like Sausage. It was very dry. Sadly, the food was a epic fail. This may be a great place for cocktails because the bartender mixed our margaritas perfectly. They had a Build Your Own Margarita menu with many different flavor options. I opted for the watermelon margarita with a Tajin rim. Delicious! My friend had a pineapple mango margarita with sugar rim and he was impressed also. The drinks earned them an extra star because otherwise, I think the food and the slow refilling of the buffet earned it 2 stars.
