The old female cashier last night was rude and disrespectful toward me after I showed her my Uber Eats app, which clearly stated that my order was ready and displayed my name. I am Deaf and do not use my voice to speak, so I rely on the app to communicate. I did nothing to provoke her behavior. She became hostile, acted unprofessionally, and nearly refused to give me my order. As a Deaf woman, I should not be treated this way. I've noticed prior reviews are very old and I'm here to tell you things have improved immensely. The fajitas are delicious, the tacos, especially tacos de birria, are the best on the island. The service is great, fast delivery and friendly too! On the weekends they have karaoke and it's fun! I highly recommend this place! I have fucking tried to be patient with this place. I ask for chorizo and steak mixed nachos with the chips on the side. I dont want them soggy. They say its impossible. Wtf you just leave out the chips?! The waitstaff is constantly turning over. The food is 5 stars when they get it right but they give zero fucks about the customer and im just flabberghasted. This place is spot on in its food! Two friends and I were super hungry after a workout and stopped in for some authentic Mexican food. If there's lengua (tongue), they are not playing and they are real deal. As such, I had their lengua torta (no cheese). Gave generous portions of lengua, lettuce, and tomato. My friend had chicken enchiladas and he said how much he loved it bite after bite. I'm not an enchilada person, but I tried a piece and then chicken was flavorful and not dry at all. This is some of the best authentic Mexican food in the neighborhood and extremely cheap. I really don't know what the negative reviewers are talking about. How this restaurant is rated three dollar signs is beyond me. Three $'s is supposed to be over $20 and nothing on the menu is over $20. I usually get a gordita when I'm there for $3.75 and if you're not starving that's all you need to eat. Other times I ordered the Chillaquiles which is absolutely delicious. Everything here is very fresh and made to order so don't expect it to come out fast but it's well worth the wait. I really love all the Mexican restaurants in my neighborhood and I've tried almost all of them and this one, in my opinion, probably has the best food out of them all. read more

The food here is excellent and affordable. Really delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Try the handmade tortillas and also any of the mixed platters. They are huge and come with grilled cactus and spring onions. You can also get flor de calabaza here. They also serve goat. The menu is huge. Good coffee to boot! read more

Placed my order here for 2 quesadillas. The order was placed at 1015 and they said it would be ready at 1050. I went to pick it up and they told me another 20 minutes. So I'm a little pissed but decided to wait. I sat at the table right next to the register and a half hour later I asked the lady at the register if it was ready and she tells me it's gonna be another 15 minutes. I'm not sure if these are golden quesadillas but now almost a hour to make 2. Then she wants to have a attitude when I ask to get my money back since they haven't even started making them. And her excuse is they have too many orders. There were 4 groups in the restaurant. Then I ask for the manager and he tells me there is nothing they can do. I know this is a Mexican restaurant but hat doesn't automatically equate spicy. If something is spicy on your menu that should be indicated. I ordered the shrimp tacos on flour tortillas and they were blazing hot. I couldn't finish my food. It was such a disappointment. Jalapeños and red pepper flakes everywhere. I gave them 3 stars because I would've enjoyed the food had it not been so spicy! They also gave my boyfriend a hard time when he went to pick up my order from DoorDash. I like the food here, usually I just get the tamales which surprisingly in this neighborhood is not always around. It's good and not expensive and I normally get the green sauce which is very good and spicy. I also ordered the hecatè which has chorizo, grilled chicken, cecina(salted steak), and cactus served with some tortillas and a very spicy very good red sauce!
