I have had lots of tacos in texas, La, manhattan, and queens so I am tough when it comes to tacos! Overall: needs some seasoning, some more chips and just didnt give me that soft with a little bit of chew with the tortilla. The fries and chorizo nachos were the best for us! Food: 1$ off taco tuesday! Came with 7 people. Ordered an al pastor, beef taco, and empanada, chorizo nachos, steak nachos and fries. The table had a small portion of chips when we sat down that was probably a small cup size for the 7 people we had. - the tacos were on 6" corn tortillas and doubled which was nice but it just didnt have that salso or kick. I found myself adding salt and lotta hot sauce. The empanada was not hot but im not sure if its cause they were waiting to bring everything out for our table. I really liked the fries and the chorizo nachos more than anything! Service: the two girls were really so kind and helpful. Attentive and helped the party out a lot! I have never felt so unsafe and disrespected at a restaurant. I was out to dinner with my fiancé and our friends when a man at the table next to us decided to aggressively single me out. He loudly berated me to our waitress, demanding she tell me to 'shut the f up,' and incredibly, he offered to buy my fiancé and friends shots if they abandoned me and left. When my group stood up for me, the man threatened to fight them outside. Throughout all of this, the staff did absolutely nothing to intervene or protect me. The man proudly boasted that he is friends with the owner or bartender, Alphonso, which clearly gave him a free pass to harass a female customer. It is horrifying that a business operates this way. We had to leave just to ensure our safety. read more

I had a deeply disappointing and concerning experience here recently. My fiancé, our friends, and I were enjoying our time when a man at the table next to us began aggressively berating my fiancé aloud to our waitress. He demanded the waitress tell her to 'shut the f up' and even offered to buy our table shots if we all left. When we confronted him about his behavior, he escalated the situation and challenged us to a physical fight outside. The most appalling part of this entire ordeal was the staff's reaction--or lack thereof. Not a single employee, including the waitress who was directly spoken to by the harassing customer, stepped in to de-escalate the situation, ask the man to leave, or ensure our safety. We ultimately chose to leave to avoid a physical altercation. A restaurant should be a safe space for its patrons, and the staff's complete inaction here was unacceptable. We came here for Cinco De Mayo. We had chips and house made guacamole which was great! Wife says it's the best she's ever had. Dinner was 3 chicken soft tacos which were outstanding. The house hot sauce was tasty & hot. Wife had pulpo taquitos which she says we're seasoned deliciously. Plates were perfectly proportioned & prices were reasonable. This is an absolute hidden gem! It's a small cozy cantina with the best Mexican food. I am a big foodie. I'm in the events industry so I'm used to eating incredible cuisine. Because of it , I've become quite a food snob when it comes to eating out. My sisters came to visit me in Staten Island. We found this place to stop in for a quick lunch. I was extremely impressed with their quality of Mexican cuisine served. It is authentic and absolutely delicious. My favs are the Cancun Shrimp Tacos and Chicken Tortilla Soup. the best tortilla soup I've had. I've been here a few times since and their service is on point which is another pet peeve of mine. We were able to pick our seats but even at lunch it was packed with only 2 options for sitting available. First time trying this place. Husband has the tacos were great but the pastor ones were on point. My son loved his quesadilla so I can't complain. I would say that the prices are a little expensive. Not the type that'll break your bank BUT I would of thought it would at least come with sides you know. My flautas were good I didn't mind them. Good amount of chicken inside of them as well as the sauces on top were good. I also think that it should put at least come with sides. Some lettuce/sour cream/etc for the price. The margarita was good. I had the tamarindo one. My husband had the blueberry one. That one was ok. I would still try them again. He ordered the tacos. One pastor, one shrimp and one beef. My favorite taco lunch place on the island! I know I can always count on cantina Mexicana when I'm craving for some yummy delicious filled tacos! My favorites are barbacoa, shrimp, and carnitas! It is seasoned to perfection and the tacos are STUFFED! Three is more than enough for me! Oh and they give free chips too! This place is just too good! A friend told me about this place & we popped in for karaoke after a day at the beach. It was poppin! Rick & Wil are the DJ's for the karaoke kick off. It's a festive spot that has a great community backing. There is a bar for up close chatting with the happy bartender & seating inside as well as outside. We had just eaten so we enjoyed a couple of mojito's. They were okay. Next time we'll do something frozen. We had a ball! I've passed this restaurant several times and so glad I finally went in. The staff is incredible. One of the owners was there, Tim, and he is incredibly attentive. Even when it got busy, he noticed we wanted more drinks and came right over and helped us. The pineapple margaritas were delicious. Me and a friend went during happy hour, and so we only got appetizers. Tacos ... chicken, chorizo and potato, and beef. All good but my fav was the chorizo and potato. Had good flavor. As someone who cooks daily, eating out/having food cooked for me is a treat and it's so pleasant when the food hits the spot. We ordered guacamole and chips, a kids cheese & chicken quesadilla, steak burrito, pulled beef burrito, rice & beans and sweet plantains. Everything was delicious. My husband enjoyed his pulled beef burrito and the spicy sauce that came with it. The kids went to town on the quesadillas and guac. I absolutely love sweet plantains, so they were a great dessert after my steak burrito. Portions are pretty decent, btw. The gentleman who took my order over the phone was very pleasant and patient, and answered all of my questions. My order was ready within 15 min, and it was an easy transaction. My husband and went here on a Thursday with our 1 1/2 year old daughter. Food was great (quac, mole burrito and cowboy quesedilla) but even better than that, the restaurant/staff had such a warm inviting feeling. It felt like we had gone to an extended family's house for dinner. Everyone was so friendly and always anticipating our every need (especially with a child). Really great food for great prices. I do think $4 for one taco is pretty expensive, since tacos are generally small. But these tacos are packed and shockingly filling. I had one of each taco except the Burger taco which has ground beef, and they were all delicious. I want to be clear that the tacos themselves were all above average and delicious. However, half of them were very dry, especially the chicken. There either wasn't enough sauce on some, or just needed a little extra. You can get them with guacamole on it, but I feel like adding another moist ingredient to some of these tacos would really improve them. They were really filled with a lot of meat, and I think the difference in proportion between meat and other ingredients was too large to keep the taco from being too dry. read more

A must try is the Choriqueso...que rico (for my English speakers; sooo delicious! Salty and rich!
