I have gone here twice so far to get shellac and both experiences have been amazing. The first time I got my nails done I moved ap the next day and my nails did not get a single chip! They didn't get one chip the entire three weeks I had them on. The second time I went Lin did my nails and was so patient with my request for a more complicated design. She was so sweet and i did not feel like she was rushing through the job. I did print out a picture of the design I wanted to make it easier for her to understand. I've gone to Cindy's a few times for a manicure and pedicure. I love that I can park right outside the front door. It's so much easier than parking and walking a long distance. It's very easy to get in and out of there compared to most places. The staff and manager are very friendly and very helpful they do a great job and their prices are competitive. read more

It's a good thing I held off on this review until I came back a second time for a pedicure. My first experience I got a shellac mani for Vegas and it started cracking and chipping within the first couple days. I was very disappointed. The shellac probably didn't even last a full week and a half before I went and removed it. We scheduled 5 mani's and we called well in advanced to make sure they could get us all in at once. We arrived and no one was ready for us. We were all staggered and out of sync, which was a bit frustrating. The second time I came in the service was about the same. No one was very attentive to us at all. My girlfriend and I waited about 30-45 minutes before we could get a seat. They seemed very busy, which is good, but they should better prioritize their walk-ins and appointments. Now I do have a rave for this place and that is their pedis. I got my pedi about 2-3 weeks ago and I don't have a single chip yet! It is absolutely amazing! I don't know what they do differently than other salons, but I am very happy and satisfied with my pedi. Their pedi's are $22 which is a decent price. I usually pay $20, but to have polish that looks good for 3 weeks? Definitely worth it. I think they spend a lot of time and extra detail on cleaning and scrubbing to make your feet feel clean and soft. This may be why they are so slow and always backed up. So it's great if you're the one in the seat getting their attentive service, but if you're not then they don't really think twice about you. read more

I've never been the person to have a favorite salon, hairdresser, or eyebrow person. Maybe I'm just not knowledgable enough or just don't know what I am really looking for. However, I can definitely say that Cindy's Nails is hands down one of the best places I've been to. I've been a regular for nearly a year since it is close to work and they are pretty quick if there is no wait. Note: there is often a wait so either make reservations or come on off-times. Otherwise, settle in for a bit! Last year, they expanded into the space next to them and the whole place just feels airy and spacious. They have a good selection of gel colors and they regularly get new ones, which I appreciate because some salons don't. (I get gel on my hands and regular on my toes) The ladies are nice and I love chatting with them when I am able to. I've also asked their opinions on colors and I'd like to think they are amused by it. They cut my nails the shape and length I want and never nick a cuticle. I once came back after a week for a chipped gel nail (which had never happened before) and the owner touched it up and the rest of my nails no problem. *Update 8/30/13* I still love this place and come here regularly, but I need to deduct one star. Reasons: 1. the past 4 times I've had appointments for a fill, I've been on time but the salon was not ready for me and I was kept waiting anywhere from 15-40 minutes (yes, you read that right: 40 minutes!). I mean, why make appointments if there's no guarantee they'll even remotely be honored? 2. twice when I brought my two daughters here for pedis, their polish jobs differed greatly in quality, depending on the technician who did the pedi. One kid had her choice of "gem" color and design whereas the other, no choice - and no top coat! Her polish chipped off (along with the gem) within 2 hours after the pedi! So, quality varies greatly depending on who does the job. One point I neglected to mention: this salon does EXCELLENT eyebrow wax jobs - at half the price of the Benefit brow bar at any store, too! And you get a modicum of privacy here, as it's done in a private room. Great job, great price here! read more

I've always liked the work Cindy's did on my acrylics (full sets, fills, etc.), but I went here to get a set removed for the first time and the tech missed the actual acrylic and SLICED into the bed of my nail. I started bleeding and we kind of made eye contact about it, she was very gentle afterwards and apologized, but it was such a bad moment/lack of sterile technique that I won't be coming here again. I honestly expected to be sent home once blood was visible but she continued to work and it made me think about what the sterilizing technique was, if this was a common occurrence, etc. read more

This place is very large! It is probably great for a group of girlfriends to go but i always end up going on my lunch. My most recent time that I went in, I had Vee as my nail technician. She gave the best massage, so thank you for that my dear! I very much needed that since I work on a computer all day & she gave me chills & they sure were multiplying! Unfortunately I have yet to come here on a day of or some here & just relax. This location is right up the street to where i work & i always let them know right away that I have 40 minutes & ask if it can get done in that time & they have never let me down. As I was saying earlier, the most recent time I went was right before Christmas & I had Vee. She gave a great manicure & massage & i was extremely satisfied. She kept checking in with me to make sure I had enough time to get me back to work. She was very polite, made great conversation & I felt very happy when I left. But my experience was just okay, I feel their manicure process isn't really that great. I had a 2 min lotion rub down and that was about it.. I have been going to Cindy's nails for years. This is my favorite nail place. Clean and honest I really wouldn't go anywhere else.

I used to enjoy going there, but after I lost a toe nail due to hiking in oversized boots, I became self-conscious when the woman doing the pedi called over her coworker and basically made fun of my imperfect toenail. They made faces and laughed and that's when I said to myself, I'm paying for this? I used to like the service at this salon, however for the past few months they are always in a rush, they are cutting corners, and they do whatever they want no matter how many times you tell them what you want. I always file/cut my nails square and these ladies always manage to ruin them, so now I cut/file my own nails at home before going to the salon (stupid right). Also you say to cut your toe nail "short short please" and they do whatever they want and had the audacity to tell you "no, like this is fine", and they tell you "no, you don't need the foot rasp". Even my husband who also goes every month to get a pedicure is no longer happy with the service. Now they are expanding their salon but not adding more staff so it's getting worst by the hour. Really disappointed after my visit today. I thought I found a great place after a terrible experience at another salon. I have gone to Cindy's about 4 times and saw Kimberly each time. She always did an amazing job and just what I asked for. Today I stopped by on my lunch without an appointment, Kimberly was busy so I didn't mind trying someone new since I didn't schedule an appointment with her. I asked for a more rounded coffin nail and chose a new lighter silver nail color. My old color nails were a dark burgundy. The new lady didn't take my old color off very well, clean around the nail or push my cuticles back. She also did not accomplish the shape I asked for (I showed a photo of what I wanted). The salon became busy and another lady customer showed up right after me for an appointment to get her toes done, she was waiting for my lady to do her pedicure. The customer lady waited for so long she ended up leaving without having anything done pretty upset. After this happened, more people came in, I noticed my nail lady started hurrying. She did a sloppy job, didn't take the old color off and misshaped my nails making them uneven and not shaped the same. the old color was still stained around my new nail polish color and was very messy. Before I could say anything, she grabbed my card (that I usually place out of my purse so I don't have to grab it after my nails are done), rang me up and left to a different table without saying anything. I tried to politely ask another lady next to me when Kimberly got off so I could come back and have them fixed without causing a scene since I didn't really get the chance to tell the current person I didn't like them. The lady next to me announced to the salon I didn't like my nails to a completely different person (I'm assuming the owner Cindy) in a different language. This lady then asked me what was wrong with it across the whole salon! I was embarrassed when she did this, everyone was staring at me. She came over and said nothing was wrong, that was just the way my nail was and that the color was "in my skin". She then tried removing my old burgundy color with nail polish remover, taking part of the new color off and then told me to come back later. I'm really upset I paid for a bad job and was put on blast in front of everyone. I will not return after this experience. I should have just gone to Kimberly on a different day :( read more

Perhaps because there's no line (Sunday during a Hawks game?) but Lisa took extra meticulous care of me. My last pedi was a month ago, before a half marathon and all the associated training. I will not be going back to Cindy's Nails in Bellevue. They do not clean any of their nail tools or equipment! I went with my friend and watched them do her nails and then use the same foot scrubber, cuticle trimmer, nail file, etc. on the lady right next to her without cleaning them in between. Unsanitary! The place is very messy, opened snacks and crap strewn across the tables in the waiting area, papers and boxes of who knows what stacked up high. The whole place is unprofessional To top it off, I got a regular pedicure and the polish on two of my toe nails came completely off 12 hours later for no reason (I didn't wear tight shoes, stub my toe, exercise, or do anything that would cause this). read more

I was having a stressful day at work, and just needed to RELAX- I turned to my fellow yelpers for some awesome reviews, and I found the jackpot of nail salons! The salon is super clean, and it has an amazing view of DT Bellevue. The chairs are in nice condition, and everybody is so nice. The pedicure and manicure were very reasonably priced, and worth it. They have shellac there, glittery acrylic, plenty of nail colors, and for a full set, they do an amazing job! They make the acrylic thin, so it's a bit more natural- Without filing your nail down to a flimsy tissue. Love, love, LOVE this place- I'm coming here more often to unwind. read more

Called immediately after opening to get an acrylic fill due to a surprise project at work that required my hands be filmed. Gal was super nice and said come on over. What a pretty salon and killer view! The manicurists all seemed to be happy and having fun in the salon when I arrived and I always love that - work shouldn't be too stuffy when you're in the beauty biz. She shortened my nails little by little until I was happy, and shaped them beautifully. I picked a color that she couldn't find, but made the perfect suggestion that I'm way happier with. When filing, she got a new file out that had super sharp edges and she accidentally cut my pinky a little, apologized like crazy and sanitized it, then filed the edges smooth for me - all better! Left and did the filming and I have to say my nails looked GREAT on camera lol. I'm making an appointment for for my sisters and I for a girls date this Saturday while they're in town, I'm excited to try a pedicure since my nails already look great. read more

Every time I go to cindy's nails it's always a pleasure. Everyone is very nice and has great technique! I've been going for a year now and Although I haven't had a bad experience with any of the other staff My personal favorite of the staff is Anna, she is always precise and asks multiple times through out my visit if I like what she has done(shape,color and design of nails). Sometimes there can be a wait up to 15 min depending on the time you go but it's never too long and it's worth it. I strongly recommend. read more

I took my teen daughter here today to get our pre-vacation nails done. I have to say - coming here as a first time visit - my yelp community did not let me down! I was greeted at the door with all smiles and had previously called for an appointment. I normally get pink and white acrylic on my fingers and a pedi and my daughter gets a mani and pedi. After about 5 minutes of walking thru the door, we were sitting in a nice swively pedi chair. Sue herself did my pedi and I must say she was just the nicest person you could meet. It made me feel totally at ease and relaxed there. My pedi was just awesome and my feet felt so soft afterwards. I even had Sue draw a little flower on both of my toes to make the vacation pedi look even more so. I have to keep my hands more "professional" so my feet are like my alter ego! My daughter had flowers on both her toes and her neon green mani. Niiiiice. Michelle did my acrylics and, although I wasn't sure at first, did a better job than the place I was going in Scottsdale, AZ. I was close to doing one of their sparkly colors instead of the normal white tip I'm used to. Okay, so I chickened out this time, but it's nice that I have an opportunity to get something funky next time I go. Always nice to have a choice. Update: all my fingers burn and hurt so bad can't even wash my hands without sh*t burning The first actual terrible nail experience I've ever had and I sure as eff will never come back. Came in bc i had four acrylics that had broken down to my nail bed so I had a few nails that were super short. I just wanted to get rid of the rest of my acrylics and get a shellac manicure but I am persuaded to get a full set bc "my nails are too short." I wanted to get rid of them because after breaking your nails so badly your actual real nails are bleeding, you just are kinda over it. So I say okay to the full set but that they wouldn't be long. When the young girl doing my nails asks how long and I indicate a natural length, she proceeds to cut but not before saying "oh too short." Okay? Thanks for your opinion?? I tell her pretty much I'm traumatized from having long nails and breaking them so short. Okay so she starts filing them super aggressively (not uncommon) and that would totally be fine on long nails but these were a natural length and she filed so hard she sliced my skin under the nail (not my cuticles but the pad of your finger) with the file. The first time she says sorry and continues to file aggressively. She then nicks another finger and I flinch and grab my hand and she says nothing and just continues as if nothing happened. At this point I am scared she's going to do it again, not to mention she sprays alcohol on and my cuts are burning like hell. Never at any point am I rude to her or say anything confrontational, and yet she continues the service like she's the one who is mad and got her sh*t cut! When it's all over, I go to pay and she says it will be $38. I ask her if there is a discount for cutting fingers and without hesitation she says no discount. I tell her she cut two of my fingers and she then says that is normal for fingers to get cut. What??? No that is not normal, it's normal for them to be sore but it's NOT normal for your fingers to bleed! I tell her I've never been cut like that by any nail technician and I guess she didn't feel like arguing so she walks away and another woman comes to talk. This woman is now playing messenger/translator between me and this girl because she refuses to accept she did anything that would merit a discount or apology. Even though she is arguing in Vietnamese it is very clear she is adamant that she does not want me to get a discount. This other lady is actually nice and ends up lowering the bill to $32 but wow I am shook by how awful this girl is! Honestly she should not work in customer service and your business would be better off without her. read more
