They also have iPads available during the service, so I ended up watching Emily in Paris while getting my nails done. What impressed me the most was their cleanliness. After each customer, they thoroughly cleaned everything with Clorox wipes, including the desk, chairs, and surrounding area. As a first-time customer, they also gave me 10% off plus a cute little gift bag with cuticle oil, hand cream, and nail care instructions. The reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I expected a little more attention to detail for a professional service at this level. A couple of nails had small imperfections. For example, one thumb wasn't fully covered near the edges and part of it looked matte, almost like the top coat didn't fully seal the edge. One other nail also had a slightly uneven surface. In my last visit however, I received gel x and I noticed an air-bubble about 2 mm in diameter under the nail, with a little line connected to the air bubble that extended close to the tip of my real nail. I brought up my concern of moisture potentially getting under my nails (can lead to nail fungal infection, which happened to me before) to the tech after the nail was cured, and she reassured me that it wont happen. I chose to listen to her because I trusted her judgement. My nails are completed and I think they look great, I paid and tipped 20% and go on with my day. I go home and I am trying to see the air bubble under my nails but I cant bc theres polish on top, so I shined a light under my finger and I could see it. I washed my hands, and looked at the airbubble again with the light underneath and the bubble looks different which means something got underneath the nail, likely water. I check the rest of my nails and i see another smaller airbubble on another finger. The next morning, I drive 20 min to the salon and get there right when they open, and asked if they could redo the 2 nails because theres is water underneath (at least one of them). The lady at the counter asks if I can come back at 11 (an hr later) and they will fix it, and I agree with no issue because I know how busy they get with appointments (looking back, addressing a potential health concern should have been the priority). I come back an hour later, get seated with a nail tech, and as I am explaining what is going on and showing the tech the airbubble with the light underneath my finger, not even after I am done explaining, she cuts me off and says "thats not water its just the gel", and "no one shines a light under their finger" (as if what I am doing is dumb??), but I was literally just trying to show her the airbubble since you cant see it with with the nail polish on top...I explained how the airbubble looked different before and after I washed my hands the night before which means something got underneath my nail and I am just concerned about a potential nail infection since it has happened to me before. I really didnt appreciate how argumentative she got right off the bat. I was talking softly as well to not disturb the people sitting right next to me getting their nails done but she was talking in normal volume, talking to the other nail techs in vietnamese, and I just felt very unheard and put on the spot, when I am just voicing a potential health concern. I thought it would be a simple, quick get my 2 nails redone no questions asked, but I instead had to sit there and almost like defend why I am concerned, and persuade her to redo my nail. I also just drove 20 min and waited an hour and was told they could fix my nails. Eventually she said she can redo the one nail but "there is no warranty if your nails end up hurting because if I redo your freshly done nail, your nail is going to hurt because the nail is going to be thinner", and I asked her to just redo my nail (since thats obviously better than risking a nail infection??) She ended up just redoing the one nail with the bigger airbubble without even acknowledging the other finger I mentioned but by that point I just wanted to get out of there and away from that environment. The redone nail looks fine but I am just incredibly disappointed by the service, especially since I have supported their business and recommended my friends there in the last few years. The photo I attached is from their website where they state that their customer's health and safety is important to them...which does not align with my experience. It's no secret that the techs are talented, but the moment you have a concern about your nails, even a health concern, good luck.
