    My family of 4 have been with this dentist for 15 years although the dentist has changed twice during that time and I just received a letter telling me to find another dentist because I refused a deep cleaning. I made this decision because I had no bone loss, no cavities, no bleeding and I didn't feel it was necessary. He told me verbally if I didn't follow his plan he could be sued if something went wrong. I and the dentist remained polite to each other throughout. I find this quite shocking so stear clear of this practice. I also have found their accounting to be concerning. I had a small amount suddenly outstanding without any treatment which they couldn't explain but just wanted me to pay. ($13). This is not the first time I have received bills that I had to question. Beware. I would not recommend. Text in attached letter reads: 01/29/2024 Dear John, Because Dentistry is such a personalized service, a good rapport between dentist and patient is of vital importance. Our relationship seems to be missing important elements of communication, trust, and mutual understanding. After several conversations and carefully reviewing your dental health status, it is my opinion that my recommendations for your dental treatment are not being followed. For that reason, I believe it is in your best interest to seek dental care from another dentist. Our office will continue to be available to you for emergency care for 30 days while you are seeking other dental services. We would be happy to forward your dental records upon your request.     I can not recommend this place less. I highly recommend that you get a second opinion or simply don't go here. While the staff are all friendly, I am shocked at just how much they are trying to rip off their patients. I was told I had 3 small cavities and would need porcelain onlays. When I asked if I could just get regular fillings they said that the onlays were what was needed and not fillings. I didn't feel right about what they said regarding my teeth as I go for regular dental checkups and hadn't been experiencing pain in those teeth. I got a second opinion from a dentist at a different practice. Turns out, I only need 2 small fillings. With Promenade I was going to need to spend $1267 out of my own pocket after insurance, with my new dentist I am only spending 75 dollars out of pocket after insurance. The dentist I just saw was shocked that I was told I would need onlays as I do not need them at all. I had also gotten a quote from both dentists for Invisalign. Promenade quoted me 5,500. My new dentist quoted me 4,500. By switching I am literally saving thousands of dollars. I highly recommend NOT going to this practice despite how friendly they may appear.

    How unprofessional, check my review, they scam your insurance companies, charge for more than what they actually do.

I started with Smile Care this pass year. Smile Care's office is clean, up to date with their equipment, and their care team is Excellent with their communications with me regarding my oral health. Dr. Hedvat is nice, and a straight shooter. I am not sure he knows he has a sense of humor, but he makes me laugh. Dolores, the hygienist - well, she is amazing. I let her know that I am very sensitive to the epi when I am there for the deep cleaning, and she conquers it, and allows me to be epi free with minimal discomfort. She's gentle, kind, and funny. Overall, I enjoy the professionalism of Smile Care. I can have Dr. Hedvat do my annual care, and within that, he has a care team prepared for all your oral care needs.

I had a front tooth crack in half and break off (a veneer I had previously done with another dentist). I was able to get in to see Dr.Fridman that same day which was great! She advised me that I needed a crown instead of a new veneer which I was skeptical about, but I figured she knew what she was talking about so I said ok and my tooth got shaved down and a temporary was placed on it until I would be returning for the crown. I went home and immediately questioned the choice to do a crown instead of a veneer. I was also concerned about matching the color of the new crown with my other veneers (I have 10 veneers on my top teeth). At this point, I decided to have all of my veneers redone and the 1 crown as it had been over 20 years since I had my veneers done. I decided not to go with Dr. Fridman who is a general dentist that also does cosmetic dentistry. I wanted a cosmetic dentist who SPECIALIZES in veneers and ONLY does veneers. I should be able to make that decision without the worry of having my general dentist drop me for making that personal choice. Well, that is exactly what happened. After getting my veneers done by Dr. Joshua Ghiam in Beverly Hills (his work is absolutely AMAZING!!!), I called to have a teeth cleaning done at Dr. Fridman's office. At first, I was told they could not find my information and then I was scheduled to go in. I got sick and had to reschedule, but this time I got transferred to the male staffer. Are you ready for this?!! He told me I was no longer an active patient in their system. Which clearly there is a lack of communication in that office because they had scheduled me for a cleaning weeks prior. When I asked why, he said "well you decided to go to another dentist". We went back and forth about why I chose to go to a specialized dentist for my veneers which in itself is ridiculous. His example was, "Imagine if you cheated on your boyfriend and then asked him to take you back." I still can't believe he said that....so unprofessional, tacky, petty, all of the above. So I got dropped by this dentist without ever being informed and apparently because I "cheated" on Dr. Fridman. I don't know who trained this male staffer or how old he is but WOW!!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! He told me I could write an email to Dr. Fridman and ask her if she would reactivate my account. Seriously!!! NO THANK YOU!!! Needless to say, my husband and I both have a new general dentist. I DO NOT recommend this dentist! Nice job losing 2 patients!

I saw the Weber's fir 20 years and could never expect a better dentist. I arrived for a double crown which I was never advised by Dr Weber of a problem with the present crown. I never had any pain. Immediately Dr Friedman indicated I needed a double crown replacement which I had done. I knew right off the bat this was going to turn out badly. Dr Friedman was inexperienced in my opinion and regret the date I stepped for in her office. My double crown constantly has a throbbing pain. The staff are very polite so no complaints there but they are not performing the work. I personally would never go back or recommend Dr Friedman. You have been warned.

    Poorly run office with toxic support staff. Patients get surprise bills, even years after service was rendered. They will maximize every possible charge without providing the patient with informed consent and the patient will later incur a $unexpected bill. Their front office staff hung up on me not once, not twice, but three times when I called to try to clarify charges which didn't make sense. It was surreal and very reminiscent of dealing with poorly behaved children who can't answer questions to clarify charges. We do not recommend this practice and are happily pulling our entire family out. Too many toxic situations with this practice and we have never experienced anything so awful in many years and numerous dental practices. Dr. Tran as a dentist has excellent skills and it's unfortunate his support staff are incompetent.

The hygienist took 30 minutes and did not do a deep cleaning. She used a water tool and scraped for less than 15 minutes. I addressed this with the hygienist and she said I wasn't scheduled for a deep cleaning today and also that my teeth were "fine" so this was the end of my session. Previously at my initial cleaning, the hygienist said preferred to use the water tool over hand scraping as it hurt her hand. Today I felt a bit of callousness from the hygienist and figured she didn't like to scrape, hence she never asked me how I was doing during the cleaning or checked on my comfort level. Now I see she was annoyed that she had to scrape my teeth when she thought I did not have an appointment. I made this appointment at my last cleaning and was told that Wednesdays are best if I wanted to be treated by the hygienist. I cleared my work schedule for an hour and a half today so I could get a true cleaning at 9am. The office staff (lady) was kind, very apologetic and wanted to correct this, but there was nothing to resolve. If there was an error with this appointment, then I should have been told this when I checked in and should have been told that I was not going to receive a deep cleaning. The staff also did not make me pay the co-pay as it was not a deep cleaning. The staff overall are kind and warm, but I won't be going back to this office.
