Lastnight was my first night coming to this theater since it has been opened. The overall movie experience was cool, but there were a few things that irked my nerves. We went to see a new movie on opening night, "Barbershop" to be exact. I expected crowds and waiting and had absolutely no problem with that. BUT, what I didn't like was the assigned seats. I'm use to going to theaters and first come first serve on the seats. During the movie, you have the ushers begging people for tickets and shining their bright flash lights to escort them to their proper seats. Some of the assigned seats were taken and people were sitting elsewhere (because once again, who really wants assigned seats at a movie?) but the ushers made people move and walk in front of the screen to find their proper seats in the dark. Seriously? Just choose a seat and sit down. Some people has to sit scattered from the group they came with because of the way the assigned seats are set up and I just felt like it was a drag. Overall, the movie theater itself is nice. I'm glad there's one in Carson even though I may or may not return because of the searing policy. read more

Service was good. Everybody was friendly. The snack bar, when you walk in is pretty confusing and unorganized. The bathrooms were disgusting and looks like they weren't cleaned for a week. Hello Yelpers! I'm a fan of this theater and have watched several movies here, including Star Wars and Captain America. Here are the pros with very little cons. I like this theater better than Arclight in El Segundo. Pros: 1) Brand new theatre with very comfortable and wide leather-ish seats. 2) Concession counter is gather first and then pay. This cafeteria like procedure definitely hastens the lines. 3) Located in the nicest and cleanest part of Carson in the South Pavilion Mall. 4)The picture and sound are clean and digital. 5) The theater itself is clean as well. 6) Assigned seating makes it easy without the need to wait outside and beat the traffic. Okay so I visited this location on Sunday 4/14/19 for a 130pm show. After purchasing a ticket, the first observation is that the crowd for the concession stand was backed up to the lobby, in fact only one side was open, with 1 cashier. WTH I almost missed my show. After asking the manager regarding the unacceptable service, she mentioned several members of her staff called off???? So either the schedule was not completed correctly or the employees all got together to stage a call off sick day!!!! Guess who suffered the backlash, the paying customer. read more

Carson finally has a new theater which makes it very convenient for those that live nearby. The entrance is inside the mall. They have a couple of kiosk out in the front entrance but only one was working. The concession stand is big and its self serve which is awesome. They have a Dreyers ice cream section as well as Starbucks. All staff was friendly and very welcoming. Plenty of parking in the back lot. No need to be fighting for parking. read more

I must say, despite the long line and the entrance being inside Carson Mall, this theater is clean and comfortable! The line can get very long but it goes by so fast--there's also a kiosk on the side to purchase your tickets if you don't want to line up. I like how the seats can be recline, it is comfortable and has tons of space! Compare to other Cinemark I've been to, this one definitely have huge parking spaces! Overall, one of the newest theater around the area, and they do offer discounts on certain days! read more

I went here to see X-Men And I to say both this theater and movie was just mediocre. The movie seats weren't too comfortable and the theater was small. I'm sure it's different for movies coming out that week but at least have all seating be comfortable even if there not recliners. I love the front lounge area I thought that was a nice twist and really cool. I noticed that people hang out there before the movie starts, which means they will most likely buy some food or drinks. Not me lol too expensive maybe sometimes right. The customer service was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is the worse movie theaters I've been too . I can see why Carson didn't have a theaters for a long time . Came on Saturday to watch Night School and all the kiosk to get in was closed . If you purchased your ticket online you still had to stand in line with the other ones barely purchasing their ticket to your phone scanned to get in ( what's the use of buying online?) than went to get popcorn- that place was mess . It was dirty and messy and only had one cashier . What made it worse was the manager just standing there watching the chaos happen. Didn't do nothing about it but just watched the one cashier deal with 30 people . I'll be writing to corporate office and see if they can refund my movie club membership. Here we are in 2015 and Carson officially has a beautiful theatre that I enjoy going to. The chairs are nice roomy and quite comfortable. The theaters are nice sizes and the addition on XD cinema sparks the interest of many. My favorite day to go are Tuesdays for discount day! read more

Line was way too long to purchase tickets, even with 3 registers open! Then after that you had to get in yet another line just for some slow ass lady to rip your damn ticket, not to mention she was slow AF AND directed me to the WRONG auditorium. The price wasnt too bad, but the popcorn and soda is where they really gouge you. No wonder people sneak food in! They didnt even have the flavored powder and the final blow is that you cant put your own butter on anymore! Ridiculous!!!! Carson mall used to be amazing back in the days, now its just pathetic. Hopefully the Norms and Burlington can change things around. Imma stick to terrace cinema in RPV, cheaper and waaaay better. read more

I went to see a movie yesterday afternoon and I when I entered theater number two I was in shock in how filthy it was. It was right down filthy! The theater was impressive looking from the outside. The snack section was very good looking. But we went to the restroom first off and the toilets did not have seat covers, one toilet was dirty with bowel moment on the sides of the toilet bowl. A couple didn't have toilet tissue or seat covers! This was at the very first showing 11 am! We went into theater 9 and couldn't see the letters for the rows it was kind of confusing. The floors were sticky! It didn't feel clean. There was no trash but some of the cup holders were dirty so much that we didn't want to put our cups into them. Each step we took our shoes stuck to the floor. I enjoyed the movie but didn't like the atmosphere inside. Please take pride in having a clean movie house! I don't think I will go back. read more

This is an AWESOME theatre that just opened in Carson. My husband and I came on a Monday to see the new San Andreas movie. The people at the cash register were super friendly, to the ticket lady, to the custodian mopping the floor who told me to be careful as I walked. Even the manager greeted us and told us to enjoy the film. Very friendly staff! They also have super comfy brand new chairs!!!! Everything is new and very clean. I hope our community can keep it like this for years to come. read more

Love the fact that it's here in Carson and that it's not as expensive as AMC. Their 3D theaters are great. Regular movie is just too tiny of a space. My group was seated in Theater 8 for Finding Dory and it felt like a sauna in there! The AC was only working at 50% capacity. People were standing in the entrance hallway to feel the cold air. I couldn't focus on the movie because I was concentrated on fanning myself. It was horrible! My brother joked, "They really made it so we can feel like the global warming in the ocean." They offered to watch the movie at a later time, but we were already halfway through the movie. I didn't want to have to rewatch the beginning because I'd cry over baby Dory again. $6 movies on Tuesdays, about $7 with fees online. Clean restrooms, reclining seats, and cafeteria style concession stand. Although these are some good features of this particular theater, I am hesitant to return because of the bad experience with the lack of air conditioning. read more

This theater is still new so it still looks good. Upon entering, they have couches around the wall so you can relax while you wait for your movies. They also offer Starbucks coffee. I'm not sure if other Cinemark theaters offer buffet style concession stands but this one does! You get all your snacks then you pay at the end. They just need to clean the area more efficiently as it does get very messy. There were popcorn and candy all over the floor and it wasn't even busy. The seats inside the theater were very comfortable and they recline a little bit. I usually go during discount days! $6.90 on Tuesdays! The only downside would be is that they don't have another entrance from the outside. You have to walk inside the mall to get to the entrance which is a bit of a hassle. Also, the exit can be a little confusing. But other than that, it's a pretty good theater. read more

Ok for now four stars we will see what happens after they have been here a year, because after reading other reviews it might not be promising. But the place is clean, staff is nice, seats are comfy, and matinee prices are reasonable. Looks like best time to come is weekday it is not crowded at all and you can appreciate experience more. Was originally going to give this theater a 3-4 star but after dealing with the customer service guru I had a change of heart. The theater is nicer than some not as nice as others. the choose your seat thing helps to make sure you're sitting with your group (just get tickets early enough to get them all together :)) the food was movie food. (Sliders, pizza, popcorn etc. Stoked that they had sparkling water ! Went and saw the nun, had a bad experience with some of the surrounding moviegoers. Beware!!!!!!!! apparently scary movies attract a peanut gallery type of crowd here!!!! I came here to see Girl's Trip in XD since my grandma lives in the area and I like the new setup and the floor to ceiling screen, very nice. However there are way too many seats inside the theater. The aisles are so small you can't pass through without hitting everything especially if the person in front is leaning back.That was very annoying. Other than that I had a cool experience. read more
