Saw the 30th anniversary screening of Jerry Maguire here. I have some hearing loss so I always use personal captioning devices (most movie theaters provide them!) but unfortunately the ones at this location were pretty awful. The first one they gave me was broken so it was impossible to lock into the cup holder. The second one constantly sunk throughout the movie and had to be adjusted every couple of minutes. I got annoyed and ending up just holding it in front of me the whole time which was uncomfortable. I would come back to this theater but I hope they upgrade their captioning technology. Sad, sad, sad to see the limited menu and the discontinuation of food service to the seat. This used to be our go-to place and we spent a boat-load to get mediocre food delivered to our seats, but it was worth it to dine and relax and watch a film. The "best" offering now is "snacks". We were surprised and felt cheated. Our "dinner" was street corn poppers and mozarella sticks. Reduced staff means a seedier feeling, dirtier environment. I doubt we'll be back. This is not worth the money there is no dine in , and the place looks like no one cares to clean it up after a rush. Short staffed and wasn't worth the drive in the cold just for stale popcorn and over priced fried frozen foods. read more

Despite the reviews, I had a great experience at this theatre. The seats were comfortable and the popcorn and fountain drink were good (not flat) from the Coca Cola freestyle machine. No complaints other than the floor being a little sticky in the lobby, but it's almost to be expected with the high weekend traffic. I'll for sure come back to this theatre. read more

Came here to see I Know What You Did Last Summer. I love the self serve kiosks for ordering your ticket and getting your food and snacks. Overall the theater was clean. The reclining chairs are a nice touch. They weren't dirty so I think the staff tries to wipe them down. People here are pretty much well behaved. read more

The theatre itself is nice, the chairs are very comfortable. The ordering by Keisk and depending on what you get they either deliver it or you pick it up at another counter...stupid and confusing. One of the freestyle coke machines was out of ice, the other was overflowing ice onto the floor. The machines were out of some flavors as well. The popcorn is expensive, not great and small. The butter machines hardly worked and were poorly designed as the button was far away from where you dispense it. I saw people struggling to reach it. The button on the dispenser did not work at all. Plus they were mostly empty. I saw a guy who was sweeping all the popcorn on the floor use the same broom on the counter and butter machine....yum! Once you're inside it's really nice, but the chaos of the lobby turned me off. There are plenty of other theatres to go to. read more

First time at this AMC yesterday for a 1:15 pm showing. The overall inside is pretty clean and comparable to most AMC's I see in the suburbs. What I liked most about the AMC was the full bar, with crafted cocktails and shelf liquor to make a variety of drinks. The only bummer is that you can't order drinks during the movie, even though this is a dine-in theater. Something I also found very strange is that you can't order food/drinks from the app within 15 minutes of the movie start time. If it's 15 minutes past, you have to leave the theater during your movie and go order at the main window which I find very odd... although they will still deliver your food to your seats (except concession food like popcorn, nachos, etc). Bathrooms were pretty clean and orderly and staff were helpful. I would come back. read more

The new iMax theater here has really nice seats. Bathrooms, well, movie theater bathrooms are always gross. Pricier than other theaters in area, but convenient location. This location also has food besides typical movie offerings as well as a full service bar. Plenty of parking. read more

Wildly incompetent, tired management. One of them seems like they're trying, but they're worn out and unsupported. There has not been any soap in any of the bathroom dispenser the past two times I've been there. The space is so unkempt I saw someone slip and fall. They attempted to deliver my hot ordered food one time (never saw them) and then let it sit for an hour and I had to come out and get it myself with no ability to contact them during the movie. Honestly, the decibel level of the movie did not support the musicality, just blew it out. Someone remind me why we have to go to the movie theatre again? Seems like we're all tired of pretending this is the superior experience. Could be, but ownership would have to really care to make it that way. read more

This is one of my go to places to watch a movie, only because the location is close to many restaurants. Employees were helpful when it came to scanning our online vouchers and fixing the soda machine. The popcorn was fresh and warm. The recliners were comfortable and clean. The audio and picture were great. Unfortunately, there are some cons like the bathrooms are dirty and the soda machine has problems with pouring out syrup. It was coming out too watery in the beginning. Ticket prices are slightly expensive at $15-16 at night for an adult. They do have food there but we didn't buy any. Pro tip: eat at a nearby restaurant and then go to the movie after. You'll get better value if it's not up to your standards. read more

I come to this theater all the time but really felt compelled to leave a positive review for the helpful staff there today. My day was nearly ruined after watching TMNT August 17 when I discovered later that afternoon I had lost my wallet. Fairly sure I had left it at the theater I reached out to customer service at the theater and the manager there, Darren, answered my call. He was super friendly and helpful and sent ushers to try and find the missing wallet. Because another movie was playing I had to wait for the movie to get out for them to take a closer inspection. Eventually Darren and the security staff on duty went above and beyond and were able to locate it. Thank you all so much! I've been coming to Yorktown for decades and will continue to do so. read more

The seats are comfortable. You don't have to wait forever to get your food. It's pricey but, hey, you are eating at your seat! Most joints only sell popcorn and candy. Eat your burger or chicken tenders and enjoy the film. Big positives for me: they will do AEW ppvs there. Went to see Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - 3pm show. Got there early and had a Voodoo Ranger. Great beer and the bartender was super accommodating by letting me sample a little slug before ordering. Had a great time chatting with him - super personable and an asset to the AMC team. Seats were D5 and D6 and comfy as can be. Very clean. Had the chicken tenders which came with fries and some pretzel bites. You get ketchup, ranch and honey mustard sauces in cups that are the perfect portion size. We have not been out to a theater since the original release of Titantic (Stop laughing) but this is a definite "MUST REPEAT" read more

Happy to see the Zeppelin movie .. Walked into 20 dollar old fashions in a plastic cup that had to be the worst of all time . Moved on from that and went to our seats that management was already there figuring out how two people were feuding over our seats while the show was starting...they all moved on to their correct seats and we finally sat down . It's dirty and sticky in here and some of the seats are torn up. They do have a little of staff, so good service runs smoothly. Most of the normal things you'd eat at the theatre are not things they will deliver to your seat, so that's a bummer. read more

So apparently this is NOT my Dads go to movies of choice. And me being from NY hunting for tickets in a premier night as a Stubs member was like "it's the only place playing our movie". In my mind it's the movies I LOVE the movies (plus it's Dine in like score) nope. NO- You had to order food at the counter instead of from your seat so we had to wait in line again insted of ordering on the app No again- Very limited options for food No- to them forgetting to send my brothers order and him having to go get it during the movie No No No- one of the Women's Restrooms were out of order and I had to take a trip round the damn place during the movie to take a whizz on the night after a movie premiered so it was packed Yes- to Sam the female bartender YES- to them having a movie themed drink (but not all the ingredients they needed So yeah I gave 3 stars. I used to think this theater was so fancy, but when I was visiting the theater more often, each time I went it seemed to be a worse experience than the last time. The last time I visited prior to the pandemic (a week or two before stay at home orders began popping up throughout the United States) was an experience I'd rather forget. I went to a movie that had a 3 pm start time. At 2:45 I went into the theater, and it had not been touched since the prior showing. It's a dine-in theater, so there was cups and trash on the tabletops, floor, everything was gross. I went to tell them that the place was still uncleaned and they brought out a person or two to do it, but... that shouldn't have been my job, so close to showtime. They do have an IMAX screen here, and IMAX Theater is on the right side of the building. Other details I took down for this place (I run late sometimes, and also have visited with someone with lowered mobility) include: Auditoriums 1-9 are in the left wing of the building. Theaters 1-4 are on the left side of the hallway, and theaters 5-9 are on the right side of the hallway; 1 and 9 are closest to the entrance of the building, with theaters 4 and 5 nearest the exit doors on that side of the building. 10-18 are in the right wing. Auditoriums 18-15 are on the right side of hallway, while the IMAX theater/ theaters 11-14 on the left side of the hallway. In the right wing, theater 10 (the IMAX theater) and 18 are closest to the entrance, and theaters 14 and 15 are closest to the exit on that wing of the building. Each theater tends to hold between about 35-80 people. Bathrooms are large, thankfully. And they have had touch-free sinks for years, with dryers on the faucet as well (I remember it felt super space age the first time I tried it!). I try to be environmentally conscious and use them, but they also tend to spray water back at me so it depends. If I recall correctly, you can't order at the counter here any longer; all orders go through one of the concessions folks who comes through each of the auditoriums. Comfy recliner seating is in almost all theaters, though the IMAX theater does not have reclining seats. That was a disappointing discovery; we would have chosen a different theater the time we went for IMAX if we had known that. There's also apparently no internet available in the theater, at least at some times. Not network connectivity or the AMC Stubs WiFi. So don't go into your theater too early unless you have something else to keep you occupied. read more

Bbq sauce with fingers- nope No green onions on loaded fries-nope My grandson hated the texture and toughness of the chicken. He wouldn't eat green onions on the fries. Very comfortable seating and good seat layout. Seats recline with footrests. Food and drinks delivered to your seat. They leave the lights on during the beginning of the movie so servers can see. Air temperature is a little cold. Overall a great place! read more

Was really excited about seeing the new Captain America movie decided to go to the local AMC movie theater while prices are a little bit higher than most. I don't mind paying those prices for the AMC experience. I mean they're really second to none when it comes to cleanliness and customer service really appreciated them. They were very nice. The snacks were really awesome and I know this has nothing to do with the movie theater but really enjoyed the new Captain America movie. So I have been coming here for years! And apparently they stopped serving food/drinks at the seats during COVID. However why have they not started it up again??? So now it's just like any other theatre except with recliners. Yet we are paying almost $20/ticket for no service. Star Cinema in Bolingbrook still offers food/drink delivery to the seat. First of all, the seats, cup holders and tables were filthy. If I ever go again I will be bringing cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer. Also, I pre-ordered popcorn and a drink when I bought tickets in the app that were supposed to be at my seat within 15 minutes of a given time. 30 minutes later and with my show starting, I still did not have my order. I went to concessions and there were at least 5 people back there doing nothing. I told them my order and they found the receipt. Terrible service and not even an apology. I may give this place one more try to see if this was a fluke, but it would have to be a really good movie. read more

The rising cost of everything and post covid this place is legally supposed to be sanitized, it's not even cleaned. 5 people standing behind the counter and we're told to use the self pay station- this is why theatre's are closing. That and $6.99 for a bottle of water... pics were taken AFTER I complained and they sent someone to "clean" so if you care about where you spend $30-50 per person for an entertainment experience- choose a different theatre! read more

It's been a while since I've stepping into an AMC but have been to 3 over the last few months since IPic is gone :( Overall, I was impressed with this location. The dine-in was a lot more clean and smoother than I thought it would be. I know it depends on the staff but you can tell they train their staff to move about quietly since they come to your seat when delivering the food. I'm not sure if it was because of post covid, but we had to place orders before heading into the theater and it was delivered to you once you were seated. Plenty of seating, nice space for each seat and they didn't feel like they were dirty or not upkept. Recliners that aren't too noisy so that was nice and overall just makes the experience much better when they aren't distractions. Definitely my new go-to theater in the area. read more

Apparently, that someone was not working. Bottom line. Buy at counter and fill your own cup. Not worth what they charge and no one seems to want to work now. Wow - how does this place survive when everything is more expensive yet less customer-friendly than the competition? This reinforces why I prefer Studio Movie Grill if I want a dine-in experience, and Picture Show or Cinemark if I want a "basic" movie experience. Right now the recliners set them apart from SMG, but SMG is in the process of upgrading theirs. Did I me turn the absurd prices? Tickets were so-so at $17, but $22 for a basic meal and $17 for an adult beverage is absurd. Especially since I don't have the convenience of ordering from my seat. The icing on the cake...at 9:20pm they talk me into the bigger sizes of popcorn and soda, touting free refills. At 10:15 I go to get refills and all of concessions is closed. This place is your typical dine in theater. We did a date night here once, but aside from the movie, we found the food to be relatively standard. It was somewhat pricey and you had to wait for your food (instead of it coming to your seat), except if the food was an entree style meal. The seats reclined, which was nice - but again, overall, this is largely a standard dine in theater. read more

Jojo at the bar is awesome! It was a busy Friday night but he was still personable, funny and friendly! He actually remembered what my husband ordered! When I came back for a second round, my husband wanted a mojito but they couldn't make it. I knew my husband ordered a whiskey but didn't know what it was but Jojo saved the day and remembered! We would def come back to be served by him! Drink prices are reasonable. As for the food....my husband ordered the chicken mac. That was a joke. The serving size for the price is ridic. This movie theatre has been a favorite for my wife and I. I'm surprised at the reviews. My wife and I have always been pleased with the service from staff here. Gotta love the recliner seats! More and more, we love buying our tickets ahead of time and reserving our seats. It's as easy as pressing the button to have someone take your order. They have a good food and drink (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) menu that goes well with the dine-in theatre theme. My wife and I love the Big Bite Sampler. It's a big enough portion for two people. We also ordered the Dry Rub wings. Our server was Samantha and she was very quick and attentive to our orders. One thing that I would have management consider is to have open discussion around linking customers' Stubs Rewards Card to the dine-in experience. We were told that we can only check rewards at the front desk. I think customers would be even more satisfied if they had the choice to claim their rewards while ordering from the dine-in menu. It had been a while since I've gone to this theater but since I was given an AMC gift card I figured I'd check it out. All of it is dine in now. I went for a matinee but figured since it's a dine in theater I'll take advantage of the total experience and have lunch there as well. I got there early because I didn't want to have to look at a menu or my food in the dark. The menus are right by your seat and easily accessible. There was a food menu and a drink menu. Shortly after I settled in a server came and took my order. I had a long island and the bacon cheese burger. My drink came out quickly and it was decent. My food came out shortly thereafter. All of this while while the previews were showing. I was glad because the lights were still on and I could see everything before it got dark in the theater. (Plus, I could just concentrate on the movie when it comes on and not have to focus on catching a server if I needed anything). My burger came with fries. Everything was hot, it was good but nothing to get too excited over. It was a decent lunch. A little pricey but you are at the movies which is pricey anyway so that's to be expected. But if you want to literally do dinner and a movie or lunch and a movie this is a good place to do so. read more
