We went to this location for the 25th anniversary screening of LOTR. I think I went in with reasonable expectations. At this point, I don't expect too much out of a theatre experience. If the seat works and the theatre is clean, I'm satisfied. And this place checked both off. Easy parking, easy getting in, assigned seats, and the reclining seats worked. It's not bad, sometimes I sit in, sometimes I just take my popcorn to go. What I really enjoy is the fact they have the Mega popcorn bag available for 20$ plus tax so like 21$ but you get a huge bag plus a big bottle of the butter. Amazing deal especially if you have kids . I'll always go back for that. We went to this location on NYE to see Wicked for Good because Southpointe was sold out. It's a regular AMC with heated recliner seats. The nice thing they offer is discounted tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday for Stubs members (free membership). The movie experience was good. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were disgusting. They look like they hadn't been cleaned in over a week. No soap in the dispenser and no seat covers, either. read more

Saw a movie here recently and thought it was an OK experience. Parking was easy since there's a big lot right outside. Overall, the building definitely felt dirty, with popcorn and trash on the ground. It just didn't feel like anyone was actively, regularly cleaning the floor. The bathrooms were also kind of gross, and I absolutely can't stand those urinals that are just kind of holes in the ground :) But I'll stop myself there. There was a note on the front door telling us that some of the theaters had broken HVAC, which made us pretty concerned :) Luckily, we had working AC in our theater. Once the movie started, the experience was reasonably good. I was intrigued that my recliner had a heating function, but I didn't really use it because it's not like it was ice cold in the theater. Overall, not a terrible experience or anything, but there must be a better movie theater somewhere in the area, right? We probably won't come back unless the movie is at the perfect time and we really want to see it. read more

I've been living in Cary for 20 years and I have supported AMC Park Place 16, but now it's just inconvenient. Like many theaters they are struggling to survive the streaming Revolution, so apparently they don't have money for basic maintenance. Anytime I want to go there I can't simply Buy tickets online,.. no, I have to call the theater and hopefully get to speak to a person so I can ask whether or not the air conditioner is in operation. In the last month, at least two of their theaters didn't have properly functioning air conditioning. But you don't find that out until you get there because they certainly don't advertise it on their website. And the seats are old so sometimes you have to search for ones that aren't broken or torn. It's just time to tear this theater down and build a new one. And I'm really sorry to say that after supporting them for as long as I have. read more

Slightly older movie theatre in Morrisville/Cary but that also means the prices can be a bit cheaper. Like all AMC theatres, they have cheaper prices for earlier movies. We recently went on a Sunday morning to catch a matinee. We purchased our tickets at the concession stand but didn't buy any food. The individual theatre we saw our movie in was very small, but still had reclining and heated seats. My first issue came in when the "supervisor" at the register kept yelling about a list lines vs regular lines & forced this lady to the other line when there was no one else waiting & because we were standing by the "premier" line he asked if we were ready & I said please just take her. It was so unnecessary. Then I get up there to order with the same guy unfortunately & when we finish up the order he asks to scan my AMC card & notes that I have the regular AMC (?) and not the premier or whatever the one is that you pay for essentially. And states, "I'll let it go this time". Like dude, I'm about to pay...& if you'd let me ask the question in the beginning you would've known I wasn't a part of that group. Anyways - the final straw came when I asked for layered butter & he handed me half a tub of popcorn & I was confused until I saw the butter machines to the side. So I asked for the other half of my popcorn. Honestly, this is a good reason for me to continue giving Cinemark my money because this was not the kind of experience I want to pay $100+ for. Recently went to this theater for the first time and was amazed at the amount of trash and food on the floors. I'm not exaggerating - literally every step from our seats to the exit had some form of paper or food bits on the floor. Like mischievous elves tore up popcorn and straw paper while running through the building nonstop during the night. I'd like to believe this theory over no one cleaning the floors since the theater opened. The food and paper bits made me wonder if the seats have ever been wiped down. It a smaller movie theater but very attentive to their customers. Wish we had this at my location in Charlotte NC. Being a A list member/investor i want the best for me and my coins. I love this chain! I spent most of my life in a city with crappy theaters, but then I moved to Los Angeles and discovered AMC. I suddenly became spoiled by the uber comfortable reclining chairs that this chain offers at many of their theaters. This theater was dead quiet when we attended an 11 AM movie this past Sunday. The seats were a bit different than the ones at other AMC theaters, but I think they were recently updated and still reclined. I also discovered that before noon, this theater offers tickets for a mere $5.50, such a bargain and we love to do this on the weekend! If you want to buy tickets in advance online, you will pay a surcharge per ticket of about $1.50. If you go to the movies frequently or have a large family, I suggest paying the $15 annual fee for the Premiere program. I get a $5 reward for every $50 I spend, so it's nice to put that $ towards movie ticket purchases or snacks at the concession stand. This also waives the advance ticket purchase fee on ALL the tickets you buy each trip. I also received a free popcorn and soda on my birthday with this membership. Great AMC! I will definitely be back. I do suggest buying the tickets online as this region's theaters have a very odd practice of making individuals buy tickets at the concession stand, hence this can result in an annoying wait. read more

Currently watching Mario movie here. The volume is better at our home than in the theater. We can hear people eating. Complained and reminded them 4 times within the hour to no avail. We are a party of 7 and seems a waste of money. Staying cause we drove 45 mins to get here and have dinner reservations near by. Seems like some of the speakers are not working, and they know about it as they keep ignoring people telling them about the sound being awful. This is our second time seeing the movie, so we know how the sound is supposed to be. Come here at your own risk or if you like good popcorn and recliners. read more

I haven't been to this theater is probably ten years. Back then is was just ok, nothing really all that special. A special Fanthom movie was playing there yesterday that I wanted to see so decided to return. I had no idea it had been upgraded, let alone so well. What a nice surprise! Of all the theaters I've been to that have recliners I have to say these are the most comfortable of all. Plus, if you're a bit wide in the hips they can hit the up/down button and become a real pain. Not here! Seriously, the seats are terrific! The theater itself is very, very clean, including the bathrooms, which is always a big plus! The employees are super friendly and efficient. The snacks looked as good as anywhere else and not only do they have a sizeable dining area, they have a separate bar too. Snazzy! read more

Wow, what a make over! Park Place had been an out of date basic movie theater and the newer Stone Park West was my new preferred place to go see movies. Went last night because the movie start time worked better for us and was pleasantly surprised with the upgrades especially the extra wide fully reclining and heated seats. It was very clean, and the snacks and beverage options including the bar and self help soda fountains are a nice touch. I always preferred the parking and ease of un and out at PP16. read more

A friend rented a theater room for us all to (socially distance) view the Wonder Woman 1984 movie due to COVID. We were all very impressed with the cleanliness of this theater, the friendliness of the staff, and the recent renovations that they made. The seats are very comfortable, large leather seats, and they're heated! You can also recline which adds to the comfort. We will definitely return! read more

Despite massive renovations late last year/early this year, this theater is a dump. The employees don't take care of the recliners (use your flashlight to get a good look at the stains on your seat before sitting down), don't pick up ANY food or trash behind the recliners (it's like they WANT a rat/roach infestation), and never clean the bathrooms (it was so disgusting the last time I had to go in). It's a shame AMC invested so much money renovating this place when management is just letting it go to crap again. read more

This theatre is definitely mid tier. Its okay. Its bland. It's clean and the seats are okay. Its not fancy by any means, buts its not run down. If you're looking for a non crowded, non flashy, and quiet theatre, then this is it. There's a-lot of really nice theaters in the RDC area so this theatre gets overshadowed. Nice theater! This is our neighborhood theater but we rarely go because we have preferred the bigger AMC's in the past. Southpoint AMC has been our go-to for years but it has turned into an abysmal experience with staff and concession shortages. The last time we went they were out of popcorn (seriously!) We went to see "Bodies, Bodies, Bodies" this past weekend at PP and I was really impressed by the cleanliness, concession availability, and comfort of the theater. Staff were super friendly and plentiful. We even saw some ppl we knew. Seats are super comfy. This is the first theater I've been to that had any sort of comfortable air conditioning. It was nice and cool. I hate going to a stuffy theater. I will definitely be back to Park Place! read more
