I'm sure with the fact that shopping malls in our general area around the down swing, Cinnabon is not! Here's what I love... This isn't your mama's plain Cinnabon. Yes, you can absolutely purchase the original, but they have really upped their game. Now they have a variety of different flavors and toppings that will leave you wanting to try each and every one of them. I opted for the original and the caramel covered one. I have asked for extra frosting for the original, and was disappointed that when we got home, they had not remembered to add it to the roll. It was pretty light on frosting, which is why I had requested more. We upped our game with the caramel covered roll, and since we took them to go, we heated the caramel one up, and what a game changer who doesn't like warm bread with sweetness all over it?! My recommendation is to try the caramel covered Cinnabon. You can't go wrong. I found the staff to be so so, and my review and my rating is really for the food. They are partnered with auntie Annie's pretzels, and you can grab those while you're there as well. This is the first time visiting this location in Elk Grove. When it first opened, I heard bad things about it. I figured I would wait and give them time, before I tried them out. When I walked in, there wasn't many people in the store. Just one couple that was paying at the register. We waited in line, no one promptly offered to help us. The other person just continued to do what he was doing. We waited in line for about 5-10 minutes, the person not at the register decided to help us. We gave our order, paid and left. I saw that Cinnabon had opened in our neighborhood so came by to check it out. When I arrived it wasn't too busy yet. Only a few people in line but it got packed while I was waiting in line. Crazy. I tried the Churro Swirl. It was warm but a bit hard. I think they made it in advance way to early. It would of been more tasty if it was fresher. I got the Minibon but they didn't even warm it up. I didn't ask since the line was so long behind me. I didn't see a warmer up front either so I am not sure they even have one. It was disappointing. This review is for the Cinnasweeties that I had such great hopes for. My friend Julie and I have been on a strict diet plan and were dying for a Cinnabon. I found the Cinnasweeties on the menu, and since they are the least caloric items on the menu but still appeared to be a cinnamon treat and most likely delicious, we decided to try them. What a disappointment! They had no flavor to them at all. They tasted like a sugared donut hole rather than the expected cinnamon treat. I also expected a cake-like consistency which also did not happen. I didn't use the frosting which is sickly sweet to me, but I don't think that would have helped at all. I drove here the other day only to see a sign that they would reopen today, so of course we came back! I showed up 10 minutes early and there was already a line forming. Once they opened up the doors though, the line moved pretty quickly. We were done ordering and paying within 10 minutes but they only had one classic cinnabon left so we had to wait another 10 minutes for the next batch to get my second one. Luckily they gave us everything else while we waited so my son and I could snack on the pretzel bites. The guy and girl at the cashiers this morning were very nice and they apologized to each person about the wait. They had great customer service skills. Everyone working on the food was not so friendly and seemed stressed out, but since they're still in the front of the counters they should still be friendly. There was one lady who appeared to be in charge and managing which items were left but she did not crack a smile or an apology. It seems like they're still a bit disorganized because I saw the group of people ahead of me and they were all waiting on food and given their Cinnabons in different orders, so people who ordered first were getting upset. Hopefully they'll work this out as the store is open longer. As for the taste, really can't go wrong with a classic pretzel (Auntie Anne's is in the same location) and the Cinnabons. The Cinnabons were really light on frosting though so I wish they were more chewy and gooey. Other than that I'm just glad I don't have to drive to the mall anymore for a cinnabon. read more

Nothing beats the experience of visiting a cinnabon after you stopped by a few stores in a mall. Unfortunately, this location doesn't give that warm feeling. It's a hit or miss, one day you'll come across a gooey and warm cinnabon...other days you'll come across a dry one that tastes like it's been sitting out for awhile. Service is efficient, it gets pretty busy since they're nearby a school/neighborhood so people stop by for a sweet treat on the way home. Especially since this is also an Auntie Anne's apparently. The cashier was very nice and made sure my Cinnabon order was correct and a possibility. I ordered a cinnamon bun unfrosted and with the frosting on the side. She told me how long it would take and even came out to hand me my order when it was ready! It was great how attentive they were to my special order and how well they communicated with each other. I've come here 3 times in total, 2 of them being CLOSED. Hours are always changing, so the hours on the site or maps isn't right. Now, their hours are based on product availability. So please get there when it opens... which I have no idea what time. Hope this situation gets settled fast, and i'll be happy to come back. But, the time we were able to order. There was a very long line, and quite a bit of a wait. We got a regular cinnabon (their packs sell out pretty fast), and a pretzel. Their pretzel, seemed like it had been cooked for awhile. Staff was rude and unprofessional. Two members were casually talking within earshot of customers and using the "F" word multiple times. I asked how soon fresh ones would come out because I needed 2 without frosting. She said 15 mins. but 20 mins later I asked if they were ready and she said they're still in the oven. I waited another 10 mins when I saw them come out. I walked back up and she said they needed to cool before she packed them in a box. I reluctantly sat back at the table when a customer orderd a single classic cinnabon, and just before the server took one from the case, the lady asked if she can get one of the fresh ones that just came out. The server took one from the tray that just came out and put it in a box. Discriminate much??? While I was waiting, I observed a Dutch Bro employee deliver 5 drinks to the one behind the counter that seemed to be the manager. She was wearing a different color t-shirt and apron. She was also one of the 2 employee cursing in conversation. Employees should not have food/drinks delivered to the establishment while working. When I asked to package the 4-pack in a separate bag, than the 2 individuals, cashier rolled her eyes and repacked items hastily with an attitude. When I offered to pay for the extra bag, she rudely replied "No. Forget it!" Will not be coming back to this location. One disappointed and unhappy customer is not going to make a difference but Corporate Leadership needs to be aware of poor staff decisions and behavior. Don't over promise and under deliver.. Clearly, the oven has a timer. It was obvious they were making me wait at this point, but I didn't want to cancel my purchase after waiting 45 mins now. I'm not positive they were trying to discriminate but it sure felt that way because others were getting hot ones packed in a box with no problem. The last time I visited, these two young men really stood out to me. Their names were Chase and Luis. They were very friendly and answered all my questions about certain menu items. I used to go the Arden Mall location but they recently opened a smaller store here in Elk Grove. The store looks quaint and the ambiance is very cozy. I took advantage of their BOGO promo and got me 2 caramel pecan cinnabons and they were warm and delicious. Closed indefinitely I know this isn't based on their food but they have no idea when to open and close their store. Many people have stopped by only to find out they made a sign saying "open at 10am" when the home site says opening hour is 7am. Very inconsistent. Whoever owns this branch obviously doesn't know how to run the business yet. I can understand it's holiday season but even after Christmas each day they had different opening hours. One day it was jus straight up closed. Get your stuff together. I'll update this review maybe 2 months later when they actually know how to operate business. read more

Second visit today. I love pretzel bites but this time my husband and I came by for cinnamon rolls. We had tried several times before but the hours were inconsistent or there was a long line, so we gave up for a few months. Today, though, they were open and they weren't busy. The cinnamon rolls were good but expensive. The restaurant was very clean like on our first visit. The music was too loud especially in the morning when you just want a peaceful spot to enjoy your fancy cinnabons. The customer service was just ok not great. I asked for a glass of ice water. Had to ask twice then given a cup of ice without water. When I asked for water, I was told they only had tap water! Ewww, the water should be purified or they should offer a bottled water. The person who took my order also had issues working the cash register. I didn't want to be disappointed but I kind of was anyway. This place is just somewhere I would go every once in awhile because three cinnamon rolls were more expensive than two number two meals at In Out Burger, 26.00! Wow...that is a lot!! read more
