10" Pandan cake with mango/cream filling and topped with macaroons and fruits. The dinosaur display was added myself - $80
    Deanna L.

Customized a 10" pandan cake with mango filling and it was pricey, but delicious. The pandan was strong in flavor, without it being too sweet. I requested for a plain cake with a greenish/white smear on the side and a few dollops of whipped cream around the top of the cake so that I can add my own dinosaur decorations. When the cake was received and it was much cuter than I had expected and although it was $80 for a 10" cake, it was very big. I was looking at a 12-14" cake and I was pretty surprised when the staff said that ththe 10" cake would feed ~20 people. So glad I listened because the cake was huge!

Same quality baked goods location in Sac. It's not amazing, but it's not like you'd turn it away if you're hungry. Like many bakeries, you grab a tray and tongs, then place your chosen items on your tray and go up to the cashier to pay. I came to get a few snacks for the day, and it was satisfactory. I grabbed the following items: Ham & Cheese Bun, Spam & Egg Bun, and a Curry Chicken Bun. I was greeted upon entry, but it's one of those greetings where it's clearly a requirement of the job and seems to come out not all that willingly. All in all, don't expect more than average quality from Pegasus.

02.24.2026 - PEGASUS BAKERY & CAFE - ELK GROVE, CA -I was immediately intrigued by the café's self-serve boba station -- a concept that brings a sense of playful discovery to the experience. In my excitement, I eagerly selected all of my favorite toppings: mango pudding, grass jelly, lychee bits, and brown sugar boba, pairing them with a refreshing strawberry tea. While my enthusiastic mixing may not have been the most strategic creation, the result was surprisingly delightful -- a sweet, layered drink that felt both indulgent and refreshing. Next time, I may craft it a bit more thoughtfully, but there was something wonderfully nostalgic about building a drink exactly the way I craved in the moment . I also enjoyed a custard pineapple bun, which delivered pure comfort in every bite -- soft, buttery, and filled with silky custard that balanced sweetness with richness. Their pastry selection truly captures the warmth of a classic neighborhood bakery, offering flavors that feel both familiar and lovingly made. This café blends creativity with comfort in a way that feels inviting and memorable. Between the interactive boba experience and the thoughtfully prepared pastries, it's a place that's simply worth visiting. Whether you're stopping in for a playful drink creation or a comforting baked treat, this bakery offers an experience you'll want to return to again and again.

1/5/26 haul: decent mooncakes! Plentiful filling, nice chew, wished lotus and pineapple mooncakes were a tad less sweet though

3-ish stars rounded up. Out of all of the cakes that I've ordered in the Sac area off of a preset cake catalog, the one I received here is one of the prettiest! However, downsides are that the edible personalized writing for the cake could have looked cleaner, the inside of the cake had a lot of hollowness in the cream/fruit layers making cake slices fall apart easily when transferring them onto plates, and the mango pieces (I ordered the vanilla mango cake) tasted bland and not ripe. Other things that I tried here were mooncakes (nice chew with plentiful filling but the pineapple and yellow lotus ones in particular could've been a tad less sweet), BBQ pork bun (flavorful and I like that there's a tinge of vinegar-like taste to cut the richness), matcha bun (noticeable matcha taste in the filling but wished that the filling was custard-based and not whipped-cream-based), and Hong Kong milk tea (pretty good standard HK milk tea!). Friendly and accommodating staff. Easy plaza parking.

Stopped by on 9:30 AM on a Saturday morning and bakery was not busy at all. Staff were working to get all the goodies out. This location is not nearly as busy as the south Sacramento location. There is also plenty of parking at this location. My husband and I bought the bread with spam and egg in it. It was a delightful snack. We also ordered drinks: I got a Hong Kong milk tea with no sugar. It was okay, I just wish it came out a little hotter. There was plenty of seating - a great place to lounge and read a good book! We also ordered steamed buns to go. Unfortunately they did not have any chicken ones, so we settled for the pork buns, however were still good and would order again.

Not much choices but breads are pretty good. I got pineapple bun, coconut bun and creamed bun all tasted good when heated. Also got HK style milk tea but it's not strong as HK style should be taste is very light. Service is great and very friendly

this place is pretty far out in elk grove and kind of hidden behind the trees, so it was hard to even spot the building at first. the inside was actually really nice though, and i thought the boba bar was a cool touch. when i went in, there was only one lady working and even though i was the only customer there, i was never greeted or asked if i needed help. i originally came for a cake, but after seeing the prices i ended up just getting pastries instead, which somehow still came out to around the same price as the cake. the pastries were okay overall, but i do wish there were more pastry options. so far my favorite thing i tried were the matcha mini moon cakes. i really wanted to love this place, but the customer service and overall experience just didn't match the drive out there for me.

Came by around noon on a Saturday and it wasn't busy and it's a big parking lot. Same plaza as oz Korean bbq. Not many tables inside but can definitely sit and enjoy your pastries. I got the donut on a stick which has a literally stick in it, lol. It's coated with sugar. I also got a pastry with coconut filling inside. Seemed like a shredded coconut type of paste since it was thick. Both were really dense breads and wish it was a bit lighter and not exactly my cup of tea. I may have to come back to try different lighter pastries and their cakes!

Stopped in to try their mango pomelo sago. How can you call it pomelo when there's only 1 tiny piece of pomelo? I originally said I would enjoy my dessert at the bakery so I received my order in a bowl but I decided to take it to go. I poured it into the to go container they gave me & it was less than the one they had already had pre-made in the case so just ask for it to go. They give you less when you dine in. I won't order the mango pomelo sago again. Staff were ok.

I cannot rave enough about this Boba, cake, and bakery shop. I love that the teas have sugar on the side, and you customize every step of the drink process.

I ordered a cake for my friend's birthday and she said it was delicious! I ordered over the phone and they were super friendly and open to customizing the design and flavor of the cake. I thought the fruit melody was pretty but my friend likes only strawberry so they made it a strawberry cake topped with all strawberries! In this economy??? I would recommend checking out their yelp and instagram to see what other designs there are. The cakes are not available for delivery since it needs to be preordered but the other pastries look delicious and are available on door dash!

    Fruit fly on pastry
    Sharlene H.

We stopped by the bakery around 7:30 PM. It was pretty quiet inside with only a few customers and not many pastries left which is understandable since it was the end of the night. One pastry on display had visible mold, which made me a bit uneasy and question how often the pastries are rotated or checked. I did bring this to their attention and someone came out to check the rest of the pastries. There were also quite a few fruit flies around the pastry case and boba area. I actually noticed a fruit fly on one of the pastries I thought of purchasing but didn't end up getting for that reason. The customer service was nice. The staff greeted us and offered sample cups for their build-your-own-boba station. They were patient while we decided. I loved the idea of customizing your own drink especially with unlimited toppings. It's a creative and fun concept that adds a nice touch to the experience. We ended up ordering two pastries and one boba for $12.95. As we sat to enjoy our purchases, the fruit flies around the seating area made it hard to fully enjoy our food so we brought the rest home. The location itself is convenient with plenty of parking and has a cute, modern set up. However, it didn't feel as fresh and inviting as the original location on Stockton Blvd. which I've always enjoyed going to. Overall, great concept and friendly service but the cleanliness and pastry quality could use some improvement. Maybe will come again a different time and give them another chance.

This small bakery/cafe has a very similar look to T&5 Bakery Cafe except I might prefer T&5 more over here. Prices are on the high side and I think you're paying for the presentation over flavor. Not really a fan of their baked pastries that they had available, their pineapple bun was flavorless and I didn't like the flavor of their polish bun. Service was also pretty meh. I don't think I'll come back here. I rather go to a donut shop. Donuts would taste better and be cheaper than anything from here.

I decided to go for the chicken and mushroom congee. (rice porridge.). I also got a green onion hotdog roll to take home with me. To drink, I had a green tea with lemon. The congee was amazing. A rich complex flavor. It had a little bit of ginger in it, you could definitely taste the ginger, but it did not overwhelm the rest of the porridge. The chicken was good, and for the mushroom, they used black mushrooms, which have a deeper flavor than regular mushrooms. So very good. It looked like a small bowl, but I couldn't finish it. Some came home with me, and it reheated very well. It also came with Chinese donuts to put in the porridge. Chinese donuts are a little bit different. They definitely taste like a doughnut, except they are not sweet at all. They are savory donuts, and are perfect to use as a crouton, so to speak. The green tea was very good, and they didn't overdo it with the lemon, and that hotdog roll that I had later, the pastry was delicious with just a little bit of a "chew" to it, they were definitely high-quality hot dogs, and it wasn't just green onion. They had something mixed in, I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't taste raw like green onion can. Just a great lunch. I'll be back. Thanks.

My friend saw that Elk Grove Donuts released their new young coconut series and wanted us to try it. We came around 11 am on a Saturday and it was pretty busy! We ordered two young coconut sticky rice pandan donuts, one young coconut pandan donut, young coconut matcha, and matcha latte. Everything together cost over $41, which we thought was a little ridiculous for donuts and matcha drinks. We were also shocked how small the young coconut matcha was when it came out. Kinda disappointed on the taste too as it was pretty telling when it wasn't a vibrant green. The matcha latte was just okay. The donuts of course were really pretty, but in reality it wasn't with the price over a normal donut. I think it would have been better if the flavors were incorporated into the donut itself versus it just having the frosting and toppings. Both are very heavy, so be prepared for a nap! It was extremely sweet too and a lot compared to the donut itself. Overall, I don't think I'd come back for their speciality donuts. They are pretty overhyped online, however I would be happy to try their normal donuts.
