We first experienced Cinnaholic on SharkTank. Then in real life in San Diego. We loved it so much. We noticed they now had a store in Atlanta. On a trip to visit family in the suburbs, we decided to take a "trip" to Cinnaholic. I say trip because the trip that "should've" taken 35-40 minutes took twice as long. The question is "was it worth the trip?" I'd say "yes." When you walk into the store, the strong, sweet aroma of sugar and cinnamon swirl in the air. The menu is a tad overwhelming, with mix and match options, but thankfully they have a few pre-planned rolls too. The cinnamon rolls are unique, tasty and fun. Since there were a bunch of us, we got to sample many combinations from a traditional roll to the Cookie Monster roll to one with a peanut butter and chocolate chip combination. Delicious. Cute set up. I love that you can access the store from the rear and the front since most of the parking is behind the store. The items to use were awesome. Would love a few more items and I look forward to seeing them evolve. You can tell the love in the dough and ingredients/toppings but it was definitely a lot of sugar overload because the bun was drowning in frosting. It was hard to differentiate the bun from the toppings. I felt like I was constantly eating the corner sides of a carrot cake or red velvet without any cake. The staff was pleasant and I do want to try them again I think I'll just ask for light toppings or on the side and see what that gives me. I'm sure it matters if the staff who's making it has a heavy hand or not. We bought 4 cinnamon rolls and 4 different flavors. At two at the store and took the other two home and one just became more sweeter than the last one. And I love sweets but I am not one that just wants to have a plate of frosting. On top of cookie dough, chocolate, etc. it was too much, even for my kids. I made them split it and they said they couldn't finish it. So hopefully this isn't a common practice. I love the concept though. We need more than just Cinnabons in the word! Lol Due to COVID we were able to sit outside at the cute bistro tables outside and came within an hour of closing, so they were closing up while we were finished with our food but we were still talking and the staff was more than gracious about us watching them close and making sure we were ok until they left. Which I consider more than enough of a reason to return. Stuff like that is is why I gave them 4 stars. Like I said, dough was soft and tasty and the idea was executed, just hope that frosting overload isn't the norm. They have free parking in the back, and is located in a shopping plaza next to many everyday business like Kroger, Target, etc, thus making it a hard temptation to bypass. And they are not just cinnamon rolls, they also have brownies and cookies. When ordering your cinnamon roll, you get a choose of icing and a choice of toppings (for a small additional fee). Consequently, the options are limitless and you can have a "different" cinnamon roll every time. With only a couple of tables inside and out, there is a chance you may not be able to sit down if you have more than one person with you, but you have to take a sec inside to experience at least one bite when they come straight out of the oven. This one blew me away with the flavors it had. Sadly I ate the cookie dough one first and only had room for a couple bites, but those bites were extraordinary.
