Strolled in on a saturday afternoon very intentionally checking out this vegan dessert option. Right across the street from an entrance to a huge parking lot this was convenient to get in and out of. The bakery is like a cross between a Cinnabon and Coldstone. It smelled absolutely heavenly! Everything is baked on site and the toppings added to order. I had the brownie cheesecake and while it was delicious it was way too sweet and decadent to finish in one sitting. Easily 3 servings for a lightweight. I asked what was the basis of the "cheesecake" topping and was told it was soy, as with other parts of the dessert. So while really delicious, I personally wouldn't frequent this shop because I don't eat soy products. I recommend it to anyone wanting to try out a vegan option for a sweet craving. read more

Sunday morning I woke up craving cinnamon rolls! I opened my trusty yelp app and found this place. It's in the Edgewood Retail District shopping center. The dough was very light and airy. The cinnamon mixture was delicious. The frosting was very good. It reminded me whipped cream with more sweetness. The customer service was on point. My daughter loved this place. The Cinnabon's were cooked all the way through, but moist. We liked picking out our toppings and creating our own flavors. Delicious! This was a must have on a recent trip to ATL. Parking lot in back was convenient to walk around the area and grabbed these on the way out. Got 6 of the Old Skool Rolls. They were just as good as I'd had hoped! It's a small shop but it wasn't crowded so it was comfortable. Staff was friendly & explained it would just take a little longer if a wait so the rolls cool before putting the icing on them. Which was fine, I wasn't in a hurry. I've seen this shop for a while and only recently discovered its 100% vegan. This week I was celebrating my adult son's birthday with lunch and wanted to do something different than cake. On Tuesday I called the shop to order two dozen mini Buns with 6 different toppings combos. The guy on the phone was very patience as I made a couple changes. On Friday I arrived at noon as I told them I would and my order was ready! The young lady who took my payment also processed the Groupon discounts with no issues. I was in and out of the shop in under 10 minutes. The shop is in a busy shopping strip so parking is plentiful, but you may have to circle around if you want to park close by. You can choose your choice of topping or frosting (complimentary if you use the check-in offer) to create the perfect dessert. Good as it was, I thought the dough could have been cooked longer to get to that gooey state. The frosting atop the roll was sort of thick and just slapped on, it wasn't melted enough. The toppings weren't too interesting to us, as we are very simple people, so we tried the chai and the tiramisu icings. The guy working the counter allowed us to split the bun so one side was chai and one side was tiramisu. I didn't like the tiramisu (tasted odd, had a boozy taste to it for some reason) but the CHAI omg. Too good. I wanted to keep that half of the cinnamon bun to myself. Not a fan that they don't serve espresso based beverages and that their coffee is not their own. How can you eat a cinnamon bun with a cup of hot coffee? It's sacrilegious (dramatic much? Yes, very much so, because I take sweets and coffee very seriously). It's new and it's different, but is it sustainable? I suppose only time will tell. Unfortunately I am in lust and love. I have been here 3 times since learning about it, and each time ordered 2 cinnamon rolls which I managed to scarf down both sequentially. I had to make myself stop going because I've noticed my waist expanding lol. Each time the rolls were soft and fresh. But the last time I went the cinnamon was applied very sparingly. I guess next time I'll request regular to heavy cinnamon filling. The staff is polite and they let u try the frostings prior to making a decision. Delicious! Literally very close in taste to a Cinnabon, IF you get the right frosting....let me explain... Experience: The front entrance is totally a pedestrian entrance, so the "true" entrance WITH plenty of free parking is around the back. You will also see a Willy's next door. When coming in the back way just follow your nose around the corner. The main area is small...like not prepared for a long line small. Think...the size of a small coffee shop. There are about 5 tables and a glass counter where all of the toppings are held. I stood in line with a couple of people and asked the young woman prepping the rolls if I could sample the frostings (I had 3 in mind) BEFORE I was up in line.....so I didn't take all day. I will admit to trying this via another Yelper's recommendation. I am glad I did!!!The flavors I tried were cream cheese (no), maple (no), and marshmallow. The marshmallow was the clear winner and surprisingly had more of a natural flavor than the cream cheese. The cashier also told me that was her favorite in terms of taste. I ordered a cinnamon roll (just out of the oven) with marshmallow frosting and banana/blueberry mix. In less than 5 minutes (took longer in the line than for mine to be prepped) I was out the door with my fresh hot cinnamon roll. The flavor was soooo close to a normal cinnamon roll and I've had vegan cinnamon rolls before that were definitely dry. This soft and fluffy roll made me super happy and the freshness of the banana and tart blueberries was a good choice. It's hard to believe that something so good can be so vegan, but it is, and they have the Atlanta Kasruth Foundation certification which gives it even more credence. I think I found out about them via a Facebook post recently, and I had to give them a shot. All I've ever known was Cinnabon for delicious gourmet cinnamon rolls, but Cinnaholic is it's healthy and happy rival. These buns are good.
