New to Mesquite, thought I'd try Cinnamon Cafe. INCREDIBLY OVERPRICED!!!Food took 45 minutes to get to us when there were only 5 tables. Food was mediocre at best. Biscuits & gravy were Pilsbury biscuits and packaged gravy. Waffles were frozen and coffee was below basic. Service was not good. Took 20 minutes to get coffee and that was after we had to remind them. Servers were not good and didn't have awareness! WILL NOT EVER BE BACK! read more

Had heard good reports about the cafe, but I was quite disappointed. My granddaughter and I had a late breakfast: short-stack of two large pancakes and 2 scrambled eggs and a Diet Coke, and classic eggs Benedict with fruit and unsweetened iced tea--for just under $50. (Drinks were $5 each!) Average tasting, though good-sized portions. Service by waiter was by far the best part of the experience--he was great. The hostess/cashier leaves a lot of room for improvement. Ambience was clean but meh. All in all, left feeling quite disappointed and won't be back. read more

Went there for Sunday brunch and music. The band was fun and the atmosphere was clean. I don't mind paying $16 for eggs Benedict if it is good quality. Mine arrived after apparently sitting under the warmer for a while with hollandaise sauce dry on top and the poached eggs over cooked hard. The server never returned to check so I just ate them the way they were. For two breakfasts with coffee and tip was about 50$. It was definitely not worth it. read more

Don't waste your time they close anytime they feel like it.If you drive there you might be wasting gas chances are they might be closed residents say they have no business so they close early.I guess with thinking like that they might as well fold up. I'm just wondering how the poor workers pay their bills But as usual it's all about the business owners. The staff is nice. The food is okay. But the acoustics are horrible! And the music being played overhead didn't contribute to an enjoyable eating experience. We were told the owner wants the music on, no option. It was my third try at this popular spot and my last. I kept giving it a chance but it's always had an aspect of something unpleasant. The place is clean and very cute. We were sat right by the musician so it was a bit too loud for our comfort. It made having conversation challenging. Our food was good and the chili had some heat which we were happy about. There was a mixup on my husband's order and the staff and management were nice and compensated us. Overall we would definitely go here again but would ask to be seated away from the musician. read more

One of the worst meals we have had in years. Ordered Classic Eggs Benedict. Food came cold to the table, one egg raw and one did not run. 1/2 inch piece of Smokey ham not Canadian bacon, covered with yellow gravy not hollandaise sauce. Staff said this is their version, obviously they do not know what classic means. Server berated my wife after saying she could order from a different menu after telling her it was ok to do so. My Husband said McDonald's is better than this restaurant. My eggs were cooked with so much butter that they tasted like butter and my husband's omelet wasn't much better. He said his was pretty buttery too. It's hard to mess up breakfast, yet that is just what happened. read more

Stopped at Cinnamon cafe driving back to Las Vegas for breakfast. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast with hash browns, two over easy eggs and a cinnamon muffin. I was served a blueberry muffin which was very good but not what I ordered, i shrugged it off, and enjoyed the moist and piping hot muffin. I was then served a breakfast platter with a grilled chicken breast??? I am not one to send a meal back and make a scene so I ate it. It was really good. I began to question whether I actually knew what a country fried steak is, pretty sure that the thousand times I've eaten it before it was beef. I even looked at the menu again and did not see an option to order a grilled chicken breast so it seems like a special order request. It's possible that the live music being blasted through the dining area that required yelling my order at the waitress made the order difficult to hear. Ordered scrambled eggs they look powdered and flat and cut into flat little squares not overly impressed with the Polish sausage either, looked like a Farmer John hotdog. Went here for breakfast after the balloon festival. Food was amazing! The kids french toast was a big enough meal for an adult. I had the French toast Monte Cristo. Oh my goodness it was divine. I devoured it even though I didn't think I was that hungry. Husband got a breakfast burrito and said it was delicious as well. It is inside of a hotel, but is open to all. A little small, so there may be a wait at typical meal times, but we got right in. Will definitely come back if we find ourselves in Mesquite again. read more

We hadn't been here before and andheard good things. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't great. FIRST, if you have "apple" in your name, service delicious apple pie. It's the same with "cinnamon". Where's the delicious cinnamon roll people will come for? SECOND, a menu is what sells your food. Dark red and green with dark print make it unreadable. We ended up guessing what to order. Whatever happened to black print on white, easy-to-read? Whoever designed the menu did no favor to this business. THIRD, the noise! As others have mentioned, the hoise is terrible. Besides the difficulty reading the menu, our soft-spoken waiter could not hear us and we couldn't hear him. It seems like every customer was shouting and it echoed even into the hallway. FOURTH: No sign! This place is in an odd location and the only signal that there's a restuarant here is the sign from the previous restaurant tenant. All they need is a printed piece of vinyl. It's not that expensive. The food was "fine". Nothing to go out of your way for. One of the poached eggs had a very runny eggwhite and the Eggs Benedict Hollandaise was indistinct from the runny yolks. One ham and eggs, one Eggs Benedict and two coffees came to $37. I wish them well. It's a hard town to do business in. The Worden did well there and was able to move to a much-better location. Fixing some issues would make it more welcoming: . Less noise, easily-read menu (one of the first lessons taught in culinary education) and closer attention to food prep. read more

Passing through Mesquite and we found this restaurant on Yelp. Our server Jackie was delightful and efficient. She checked on us, refilled drinks and such a pleasant person. My husband had breakfast that he really enjoyed (French toast) and I had the Mediterranean Salad. It was excellent. Lots of grilled chicken and Greek olives. Came back after two somewhat mediocre experiences. We always give places a chance. Breakfast this morning with my wife. My food arrived without hers. A restaurant should never bring a couples meals separately. I had a waffle (good) with 2 scrambled and Sausage. I wanted to wait for my wife's food but she insisted I eat mine while it was hot. Nice of her, but my eggs were stone could as delivered and the sausage was barely warm. Her food arrived 4 minutes later, her eggs Benedict was ok, the fruit bowl served with it had rotten grapes. Waited so long for a coffee refill, I walked to the counter and poured it myself. As requested they negated the charge for my cold eggs and sausage, that did not make up for the overall poor experience. We wil not return read more

It was very loud in the Cafe. In fact, we could hear the noise aspect, from the hallway leading to the cafe. It wasn't jam packed, so I have to attribute the noise level to the materials on the wall, such as the tin/aluminum. I was with 3 other people & we were seated promptly. Unfortunately, we waited 35-40 minutes for our meals & part of mine was forgotten. I had to ask for it. Despite the wait, I have to say, the food was good. Additionally, the coffee refreshes were not timely. I sat with an empty cup longer than should be, more than once. Everyone was very nice; however, my first visit & impression, overall, were not as hoped to be. This is why I gave only 2 stars. The Cafe may or may not get a 2nd chance. I'm not sure we'll be back for a 2nd try. read more

Was on my way back from a trip in California and thought I would try something new and saw this place had great reviews! I waited about 10 minutes before getting seated which was not a big deal I understand there were about 6 tables seated already with only two servers. I ordered water and coffee when sat down which came out pretty quick, then my fiancé ordered a water and a mimosa which it never came. Waited on food for 45 minutes with not very many people here. Saw waitress wipe her runny nose with her hand and continue to grab glasses I don't know if she sanitized afterwords. My food was not great I ended up choosing the Chicken and waffles Benedict which sounded great... unfortunately was not at all very bland chicken was just a bag of frozen Tyson chicken it seemed. Waitress did take action and helped me out which I understand maybe I just chose a bad meal. But make sure to please sanitize more. I'm willing to try it again but skeptical. read more

Our first time to this restaurant and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The food was cooked well and served hot. The poached eggs on the Benedict was just right, not overdone, but tender and delicious. The ribeye steak meal was also cooked just as I ordered, medium. It's not a huge portion, but just right for me with an excellent baked potato and Texas style toast, yum. They had live music that added to a happy atmosphere. We will definitely come back so we can try some of the wonderful looking meals (burritos & waffles) that traveled by our table. read more

This place is so hit and miss, need to trim the things they can't do from the menu. Pastrami burger is very good but just had the avocado bacon Benedict and it was the worst. Cold, hollandaise sauce was like tasteless thick glue and the poached eggs were like peeled boiled eggs. read more

We live in Mesquite and while we had heard about it, there hasn't been much advertising to remind locals that it exists. There is also little signage. That said we finally got around to trying it and it was delightful. The food, atmosphere, service, and general presentation were all excellent. My wife had the chile verde omelet and I had the greek omelet. I ordered toast with mine but my wife ordered the breakfast potato's. Toast is toast but her potatoes were outstanding and will be my accompaniment in the future. The one tiny criticism I have is that the kalamata olives in the greek omelet were not pitted, and it was somewhat awkward spitting out the pits. Can't wait to go back. read more
