However their driver "Polo" arrived a few minutes *early* and worked expertly all by himself setting up the bed and then showing me how to operate it. He got a well-earned tip for that. Unfortunately I discovered after the driver left that the wheelchair delivery did not include the seat belt called out on the delivery ticket. As soon as I noticed this discrepancy I called the phone number on the ticket and spoke with CSR "Marnellie" whose name appeared on the ticket. I explained the problem with the missing seat belt and she promised to have the driver swing by our house the next day to drop off it off. Marnellie also took the time to patiently explain to me the format of their delivery ticket, which is admittedly a bit complicated. Fast forward to a week or so later and the missing seat belt still had not been delivered. This didn't really surprise me and we were making do without it for the time being. However this is one of the "Purchased" items on the ticket and I felt I had a duty to mother-in-law to obtain the missing item (ignoring the fact that the purchase is entirely covered by Medicare/Medi-Cal :^) My wife and I were out-and-about in the Valley a few days ago so I called Hanmi's store on Sherman Way and spoke to a different woman there, explained the situation with the missing seat belt delivery, and asked if I could drop by to pick it up. She said yes that would be OK but reminded me that they close at 5pm. Unfortunately I only managed to arrive there five minutes after closing time and it was lights out already. I dropped by their store unannounced today and explained my story again to the woman behind the counter. She took a few minutes to look up my mother-in-law's file and called someone to get concurrence on giving me a seat belt out of their store stock. After a few minutes wait I finally had the missing seat belt in hand! And that's when I discovered that I was speaking to the "infamous" Jacqueline... It's honestly quite difficult to reconcile the older reports here of rudeness, etc. with the person I dealt with across the counter today. In person Jacqueline is the quietest person (almost "shy"), and I have a hard time picturing her slamming down the phone on anyone. She was completely professional with me and didn't give me a hard time about any of this. Also, while I was waiting another customer came in and he seemed completely at ease in the store. Yeah he's probably a repeat customer (and that's a good thing). And based on my experience today, I will probably be a repeat customer as well. So I'm not saying that earlier reviewers here did not have any problems dealing with Hanmi staff. It just seems that things have changed since then. Perhaps there were issues outside of the workplace back then that were being carried over into the shop? I can only speculate, but I'm thankful for the experience that I had *today* at Hanmi Medical. So if I needed a prescription for antibiotics like when I caught pneumonia, mine was filled very quickly. You never wait longer than 10 minutes. Fred is a Doctor of pharmacology which means he knows what every drug will do for you or to you. He gives out sage advice and talks to everyone as though he would talk and look out for his own family. He really cares about his patients! The name Reliable is a spot on name for this store because for every aspect done in this store, whether it be giving vaccines, or helping people to decide which vitamins to take or asking questions about a procedure they are thinking of having done or a drug to consider taking, he weighs it heavily with much thought and wisdom and gives you his answer. Also he will catch drug interactions and quickly call your Doctor up and say "I can't give them this drug because it will interact with what he or she is taking which in the ends keeps you safe. He's on top of it! His store is always clean and sanitary. They also sell nick nacks as well as jewelry and all holiday items. They have Brown Bag sandwiches which are really delicious and nutritious. Most hospitals buy these for their patients in case they get hungry in the middle of the night. They also sell baby items there, toys and ambulatory supplies as well as bandages and some His staff are amazing!!!! Mina has been with him for years and does a variety of right hand stuff for him. In other words she is competent, gone to school, got her degree and takes care of everything. I have seen her very , very busy and yet she just smiles, is kind and warm and makes her patients feel as though everything will be okay. If anything is wrong in the price for your drug or the prescription, she will catch it and correct it right away. Jay is another great employee! She is always smiling, and works hard. She is not ever idle. Her warmth and charm will light up a room and draw people in. This is my favorite pharmacy and I will be a forever patient.
