I visited Clinicare Pharmacy after a friend recommended me for a quick TB test. My friend was told by his doctor about this local place. When I got there, I was charged $60 instead of the $70 my friend mentioned paying so that was a nice surprise!!! The location itself was a bit tricky to find at first. I had to circle around the building a few times and eventually called a staff for help. Fortunately, Aaron came outside to guide me, which was super helpful. A clear sign in front of the entrance would definitely make things easier. Inside, I was impressed with how well-organized everything was. There's a great selection of products, and I liked how they had sections clearly labeled for things like mobility aids and bathroom items. Definitely an efficient layout that made browsing simple!!! I was about to buy cough drops but at the counter they also have a newprint of their stock on sale so I chose a different flavor!!! Definitely good to look at their items on sale. Overall it was a good experience, the nurse quickly did it for me and I know I'd return back here if I need anything again in the future!!! read more

Awful. The staff is unprofessional and actively violates HIPAA. I had an appointment for a booster (my 4th). They asked questions about my eligibility, even though I'd already made an appointment through myturn. They ultimately refused me treatment and said I'd need a doctor's note. FYI, for my first booster I had a doctor's note, which a different pharmacy told me I did not need. There is ZERO demand for boosters, so why police them? I will never go back to this pharmacy, which is unfortunate, because it's conveniently located and it would be great to support a small business. read more

I was just referred by my physician to Clinicare Pharmacy and I couldn't be happier. I knew my Dr wasn't going to send me somewhere horrible, I trust him! He recommended this place and I understand why. I called and I was greeted with the sweetest voice, Nareh. We are working on getting something done and she was on it! We have been coming to Clinicare from the time they were in the small location, then the next one and then the newest location. I'm not sure how many years but maybe 15-20? We moved to Ventura County and we still use Clinicare. After using the big named Pharmacies (CVS etc) and being treated horribly, I would never think of leaving Clinicare EVER! What the hell! I got a phone call from this pharmacy claiming to be a part of my health plan and asking me questions about my medications, claiming to have gotten the information from Walmart. I called Walmart and my Healthcare plan and neither had heard of them. I called back the phone number and it was an answering machine for this pharmacy. I am LIVID! read more

The absolute best. They are all knowledgeable and could not be sweeter or more helpful. I had to use a mail order pharmacy for long term prescriptions in the past but when my insurance company changed their rules the staff at Clinicare handled all the transfers for me. Granted, and thank goodness, I'm not an expert in pharmacies. Having said that, this is a terrific one. I've only been here about 5 times, but each time I was greeted cheerfully. The lead pharmacist (?) is definitely no-nonsense, but she seemed genuinely concerned about my condition and made sure that I understood the medical regimen. The staff here empathized with my financial limitations (read: broke) and thus readily recommended the generic version of my meds. Needless to say, this saved me some significant economic pain as well. I was glad that when they moved, it was only a few blocks further. If I should move, I will be hard-pressed to find another pharmacy as good as this place. read more

what can I say... this is a great pharmacy! They go that extra mile to make sure you are taken care of, always with a smile and always there for extra help if you need it. Recently I was going out the country on very short notice. Diana, the pharmacist not only did a full consult for me with one days notice, but double checked where I was going to make sure I had all the right vaccinations. The stuff I needed to get they were able to give me right there on the spot. I found Clinicare when I needed compounded prescriptions for my cat. They were great. They found a flavor that my cat could tolerate. So I switched my prescriptions to Clinicare and have been very happy with the service. They have recommended over-the-counter items that worked where others had not. A step above the rest-- from the clean, large open store to specialty (and common) medical supplies/medications, to the professional service! It's hard to find a pharmacy with all of this. I started using this pharmacy when I moved to the Valley and am glad to be supporting another independent pharmacy! They are less crowded and faster wait times compared to CVS, Walgreens, etc. They also offer a lot of pharmaceutical services (vaccines, travel shots, drug management, etc.) offered by pharmacist that you typically don't see in a regular pharmacy. And finally, yes the pharmacy has a green medical cross sign on it's building, but it is NOT a marijuana dispensary, lol. read more

Never really had to take prescription drugs before. Dr Michael Borok recommended this pharmacy and I came in here not knowing which line to stand in. Another customer helped me get in the right line. I gave them the prescription papers and received 3 of the 5 of them because some where out of stock. One of which WOULD cost me a copay of 100 dollars BUT an employee was able to bring that cost to 0 because of a coupon. Very friendly employees and a great experience. They are also moving so all of their over the counter products are 20 % off. read more

Clinicare just called me claiming to be calling on behalf of my doctor, and wanting to do a medication review over the phone (without revealing that they work for Clinicare). I'm creeped out that they have acquired my name, phone number, and name of the medical group my doctor is in. read more

Let me clarify a couple of things. My review is not misleading nor does it contain incorrect information. #1- I came to you because CVS did not have that medication available that same day NOT because they didn't know the medication like you stated. CVS was kind enough to send me to you in hopes I could get it the same day. #2- The medication you prepared for my son had the WRONG concentration. A clear mistake was done on your part- If the doctor's order says a certain concentration and you prepare the antibiotic with a different one, then you are NOT following the doctor's orders. #3- The technician realized the discrepancy right before ringing me up for the medication at the counter! and clearly saved you from getting into a LOT of trouble. Even if the medication wasn't dispensed you still made an error with the concentration. #4- The option given by the pharmacist after she realized the pharmacy screwed up was to double the dose. Please understand that it might be commonly done by you but giving a sick nauseated child 4ml vs 8ml is not ideal, specially considering the fact the child has to take it 3 times a day. Parents will understand me on this and I would expect a pharmacist to also understand which clearly it's not the case with you. #5- Let me repeat it just in case #4 wasn't clear enough. I will not double the dose and make my child suffer because you screwed up. #6- My insurance issue is really not relevant. Don't see the need for you to bring it up. You are trying to insinuate that I didn't pick up or bought the medication because of insurance issues. I never picked up the medication on Monday because I spoke with my son's doctor and she suggested to stop this specific treatment. -#7- The fact that you caught other discrepancies on previous orders well yeah that is your job. Now your response on Yelp shows how arrogant of an owner you are. You want to defend your wrongdoing by attacking and putting the blame on the patient. Maybe a simple apology would have worked. Shame on you and congrats for earning my updated one star. read more

Excellent Customer Service! I was calling multiple pharmacies to see if anyone still had Unisol 4 sterile saline for my contact lenses. The manufacturer (Alcon) had discontinued it and I have been using this preservative-free product successfully for over 20 years. Clinicare Pharmacy told me they had 2 boxes left. They put them aside for me and then offered to call their wholesaler to see if they could order more Unisol for me. They took my name and number and sure enough, on the next business day, they called to let me know that in fact it had been discontinued and they apologized for not being able to get it for me. Not one other pharmacy I called (at least 20 in all) offered to take the extra step to try and find the item I needed. This is top-notch service that the large pharmacy chains and even other small independents do not offer their customers. If you are looking for a pharmacy that goes the extra mile for its customers and really cares about accommodating its patrons' healthcare needs, Clinicare is the pharmacy for you...Outstanding!!! I would love to give them zero stars. i thought as i got very ill that this would be a more personalized phcy. It seemed that way at the start. I thought they would have some personalized attention. However when i went in as I thought they were nice to pick out two items to care for my mom who just broke her wrist . I found out different. The items both were not practical for my mom and i returned them as fast as i could with work and taking care of mom as she cant drive. I came in ten days later . Not within their 7 day policy.However i figured this is a more helpful and personal place than CVS.They would (as i was a devoted customer) bend their 7 day rule. COMMON. Rules are made to be broken in some cases. I only opened a box to see the product and they said it cant b returned open??? I opened the box? How else could i see it would not work for my mom. I am more than happy to share my unsatisfactory experience. I came to Clinicare Pharmacy to make an appointment in person for Travel Shots. The in-person visit to schedule an appointment was handled accordingly. It was until I had to reschedule the following week due to work miscommunications on my end which left me calling the Pharmacy. The phone call was unpleasant and the staff seemed to take my questions and concerns as a laughing matter. I would not recommend this business due to the absence of customer service and interest in their profession of choice. My questions were left unanswered as I overheard laughs and giggles in the background to the serious matter of my traveling plans and the health care I would be needing. It's unfortunate because of the convenience of the location and how there is no other Travel Shot Pharmacy as close by in the San Fernando Valley. Due to this matter, it is definitely not worth the time nor money to be taken as a joke.
