I am a regular…read morepatron, as I work down the street, and I come in 3-4 times a week, and the lady working tonight, whom I've had hundreds of interactions with, Brianna I believe, basically just stole from me as a customer. Mike and Isaiah have always been professional and cordial. Brianna usually is too. Tonight, for some reason, she was way off. Off enough for me to leave this review. I came inside and bought a couple of sodas and a bag of chips. The total came to $7 and some change. I handed her a $10. While she was trying to figure out the change, I also asked if I could have $3 worth of quarters for the air machine and handed her another $5. I have given her $15 cash by this point. She got incredibly flustered by this and got combative. She gave me the $3 in quarters and the $2 remaining in the $5 I had given. When I asked for the change for the soda and chips, I know it's just $2 and some change, but it's basic math, she said "Oh, you probably pocketed it when you went outside". I had not even moved 3 feet from her when I noticed she had jipped me. In 2026, getting combative with a paying customer because YOU can't do basic math is insane! I tried calmly explaining that she had not given the change and she screamed at me to get out of the store. I get this store may not be in the greatest of locations, and I get you have to stand your ground with "downtown" or "city" shenanigans. But I was in a full suit and tie, have been in there HUNDREDS of times, AND was incredibly polite and professional, thinking and hoping it was an off day. But when she said that I was the one trying to play her, I was flabbergasted. I work for Hilton International so I am fully aware that people will treat you how you treat them. This interaction was SO out of the norm, and over a simple math mistake made on Brianna's part. In Charleston, SC, having a bad rep is NOT the way to go. I will steer clear of this location, and I will share this experience with everyone I interact with. I look forward to a reply as I am now out my change and the $3 in quarters the air machine takes because it is not currently working.

This station is in a very convenient location in the front of the Town Centre. Gas is a little bit…read moremore expensive than the other Shell stations around town by about $.10 per gallon, but it is in Mount Pleasant, and centrally located, not far from I-526, so we're paying for that convenience I guess. I was on fumes so didn't have another option really, or I might not have made it in here. My one isolated experience met my needs. The convenience store is tiny and very basic though, so it doesn't have many items from which to choose. Don't forget your FuelRewards card so that you can at least get $.05 off each gallon. That made me feel better about filling up here.

I don't know why I called them back, knowing that they didn't take care of the first issue, thinking they would take care of the second issue. I went to store number 79 on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard on October 20 and went to three different gas machines, put my card in for gas and it told me try a smaller amount than 2M. Then it rejected my card. I went inside to have to pay for my gas. Explained the situation and the girl kind of mumbled something and I asked her what she said, and she said huh. After I was done, I wanted to clean my windshield and there was nothing in the windshield washer area and the trash was overflowing. I went inside the store to get lunch items after ringing my order up, I asked the young lady for my receipt as she walked away from me. When she came back, I asked her if corporate's number was on the receipt. She handed it to me with rudeness stating that I should have been nicer and I explained to her I was not rude at all. I just asked you was corporate phone number on the receipt. I proceeded to call corporate leaving very detailed information including time, date, store number, and exactly what happened. I was greeted with somebody that says that they pride themselves on customer service. I was happy to know this was going to be taken care of and just a fluke. So today, October 21 I went back because I needed air in my tires. They were very low and as I was trying to put air in my tires, the air machine was not working. The machine actually took air out of my tires when I was pressing in thinking it was putting it in. The trash was still overflowing. I have a picture to show proof. I then had to ride to another gas station, which was not even close and now tires were even lower. I called back to the customer service rep Canyon and explained the new and old visual issues. (I was already upset. I know I should have not called but I thought based on our previous conversations she cared. Canyon said the manager wrote 2 hours ago he would take care of it immediately. He did not!! I was trying to explain myself, but then I was told that they couldn't physically do anything about it until two hours ago when they personally spoke to me. I explained to Canyon, who told me that customer service was top priority that I was talking over her, and I was yelling which I was not. She proceeded to hang up the phone on me. So I called her back and before I could even get greeted, she answered the phone by saying if you're going to yell, I am going to hang up again. I politely said I am not yelling at all. You will not let me talk. You will not let me explain and you're saying things repeatedly when all I'm asking for is help. At this point I asked her to get me a manager. I was then presented with the fact that she is customer service manager and I said no I want a manager above you because I can't believe that you guys are treating people the way that you're treating people. I got a manager on the phone, but by this time I was so upset I just wanted to file a formal complaint. It should have never gone this far and I just told the lady that I was going to write a review and I wanted to file formal complaint. I went to the website and couldn't find the formal complaint form that she was talking about. It was the same complaint form where it had somebody call me back and I'm not gonna do that again. So here I am on yelp explaining the situation to customers who are going to be going to that location. Please don't! Please think twice. Don't waste your time and energy.
