This is great to provide you with options when you decide to switch up your order. I believe Black Rock's service is amazing. Their baristas are consistently friendly, quick, and efficient from getting your order to making your drinks. The service is laid-back, where I don't feel pressured to hold a conversation or talk about my day (you know what coffee spot I'm talking about). Sometimes I'm still trying to start my day and just need my caffeine fix before talking to people, this is why Black Rock is great! As for their ambiance, the interior/exterior of Black Rock is modern yet cozy. It's always clean and have plenty of natural light if you would like to hang out with friends or study for school. However, this location does not have a lobby.

There's a couple parking spots if you want to hang out in your car. The coffee cake was really good but unfortunately, my cold brew coffee was terrible. It has an off taste that I can't quite put my finger on. I didn't get anything in my coffee, so it should just be a simple coffee. But something isn't right about it.

I specifically bookmarked this place because I wanted to try a Concha (a type of bun). Although they didn't have it when I went, their stellar creative drinks made up for this visit. Their drink menu is Spanish inspired. Here is what we ordered: - Chocomil - La Fresca (Strawberry Latte) - Tepache (pineapple spice tepache, piloncillo, pinch of salt) This was the most delicious strawberry latte I have ever had. Every sip made me so darn giddy. The espresso and strawberry came through equally. What surprised me were the fresh strawberry bits on the bottom and the interesting dusting of what looked to be strawberry powder on top. I've never seen that before. I appreciate the creativity. My son's Tepache was unique and refreshing. According to my son, Piloncillo is pure sugarcane juice that is boiled down to form a caramelized syrup. I'm guessing this makes the pineapple flavor less tart. And if you are a chocolate lover, get the Chocomil, it is insanely good. This is now my #1 favorite new coffee spot in Tucson. A hidden gem with indoor seating and a lovely outdoor patio. Service 10/10.

I'm so happy to have found this place ! You order at the counter and there is plenty of seating. I ordered the tri-color Vietnamese dessert called Chè Ba Mau, which translates literally to tri-color dessert. Chè is a traditional category of Vietnamese desserts that can range from sweet soups to puddings, and it often combines various beans, jellies, and fruits with coconut milk and shaved ice, traditionally. This particular one here consists of coconut milk, pandan agar jelly, red beans, and water chestnut coated in tapioca. The hubby ordered the grass jelly and coconut milk dessert. The grass jelly has a mild herbal depth and it is balanced beautifully by the smooth, lightly sweet coconut milk. Both are equally refreshing and sweet, with quality ingredients that really make it satisfying on a hot Tucson day. I absolutely will be returning here for future Vietnamese desserts!!
