I made reservations for a week and thought I had full hook ups. The lady emailed me later to let me know the site I picked did not have full hookups. I told her I would like full hook-ups. The only thing to make this work was to split my stay up between two sites. One month later when I arrived Robin told me she found a site for me to stay the whole week without moving. I did not have to beg or ask. She did this on her own. Calling me to make sure I had selected the proper site and then putting me in one site for the week, says a lot about this place. First time here 09/20/24 everyone staff and other campers alike were very friendly. The indoor pool was nice and clean as was the hot tub and restrooms the camp store was well stocked and clean. Loved all the extra activities. The mini gulf was us great condition as was the camp ground in the whole. It was nice to see a security car riding around as well!!! Will Definitely be back again the only suggestion I have is they should check peoples I.D's when the check in (must be a thousand tail thing) read more

We arrived early and had to wait until 11:45 am to check in, no problem they wanted everyone to check out that would open up some sites. We checked in with no problem, they gave me a map with list of open sites with full hookups. We picked a site as we drove around, nice site except it was hard to get level. I drove around in our suv to look at other sites, no luck. I moved the rv around some and got level without our front tires off the ground. 2 pools one is indoors covered mini golf covered and many other stuff to do. I would recommend Circle M. read more

So, I have been reading reviews on here and they completely sadden me. This is my second summer visiting Circle M campground and it isn't a two-three star campground at all. I would give it 4 1/2 to 5 stars. Circle M is very family friendly, the staff has been so nice and very accommodating when there's a problem. Anyone who is complaining that you have to drive around and find your spot, needs to research the campgrounds they visit more thoroughly before they go. At most Thousand trails campgrounds, you always ride around and find your own spot. You know this when you join the campgrounds, once in a while they will help you, but normally you have to find your own spot. This campground is very clean, you can look at pictures below and this is me just walking around and snapping them. I camp a lot, at luxury campgrounds and regular campgrounds and this place is very, very nice. Please don't read into the negative reviews, give it a chance and come make your own decision. My family loves it here. 2 pools, foot golf, covered mini golf, shuffleboard, pickle ball, basketball and spots right on the river and off. Very nice playground and so much more. I give this place a zero!!! I had one of the worst experiences I would say of my life thank you Circle M for that. The staff is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I took a camping vacation with my family that turned into a nightmare. We arrived to check into the campsite the night of 8/8/23. We did not make it in time to check in so they made us stay over night in the parking lot with our kids and our dog and they told us we could checkin in the morning. We had no problem with that. We then went to checkin that next morning and the assistant manager, Brenda was rude and told us we can't check in until noon. She eventually told us we could go park down by the basketball courts until 12 but if we picked a spot we will be kicked out. She stated that the member lounge would be open at 9 where we could be in the AC and use the wifi for work which never opened. We then continued to wait by the basketball courts in the truck with the AC on for the kids and dog. By about 10:30 it was getting alil hot outside so we with back up to the office and let Brenda the assistant manager that it was becoming hot could be just hook up our trailer to turn the AC she said "no rules are rules" we then continued to wait. By about 11 we went back up to the office and asked again could we just check its getting to hot to be sitting out there with the kids and dog and she seen the dog panting and she finally said we could go pick a spot. Once we picked a spot we dropped the trailer and got the kids and dog in the AC. The dog wasn't calming down so we took him to right to the hospital. The animal hospital gave him oxygen did blood work xrays everything they could do to help him and our family dog PASSED AWAY!!!!! I really can't believe he's gone he was the best dog ever!! So innocent and he had to pay for the manager having able to meet an executive decision. I'm so disappointed in Linda, Brenda and Fran for not being compassionate, humans. My family has been member for over 15 years. This family trip turned into a traumatizing memory instead of a good memory. We went into the office the next day to speak with the head manager, Linda Coterwas to let her know if the situation and how her on employeesBrenda and Fran treated the situation and she showed no compassion either she said "She doesn't understand how the dog fits into all of this". We then reached out to the regional manager and he was the only one who treated us like humans, he told us that he doesn't understand why they didn't let us check in at 9 AM when we slept in the parking and he was going to address all of them. Absolutely awesome! Everything was open despite COVID-19. Pool was fabulous and clean. Campground is well maintained and friendly staff!Absolutely loved floating on the Conestoga River in my tube. There is an entrance and exit to the river right from the campground. Total tubing trip takes a little over an hour. So peaceful to watch the great blue herons fly and fish. I have been a member here for about four years. I store my RV at the campground because it's a very reasonable price especially compared to where I live in Maryland. The front desk are extremely friendly and professional and have worked with me every time there's ever been an issue. They also have a maintenance and security guard to go around and check things and keep it pretty well up to date and help out if needed. I also like the fact that it is near Lancaster PA tourist attractions like the corn mazes and the Strasburg train museums. They are a little rustic when it comes to activities and features in the campground so that is why it is not 5 . read more

If you truly enjoy camping, do yourself a favor and stay away from this crap hole and any other operated by thousand trails. No pet rules, rude personnel, can't reserve a site,you have to drive around and find one then tell them where you are. Stay time is limited, probably because if you stayed longer you'd kill yourself. We have been going to circle m two years. This is year three coming up. First year the indoor water park! Sold us on buying our membership! CLOSED last year. It wasn't perfect I can see why they need to renovate but very sad. It was explained to me that "thousand trails" will pick a few camps every year to update! Well I pay a full membership fee so I expect things to improve. Or I won't be renewing after year 5. Family activities are fun, Allison knows what she is doing. Even if only a handful of kids show or several either way she is excited to get the fun started. Facility's are moderate. Mini golf is covered and you can play in a light rain storm. Game room is better than most. Outdoor pool is pretty large but very busy! Indoor pool is small and seems a bit cloudy eater usually. Has a hot tub. Has a lake so you can fish, boat, tube. Has a large dog run area. Has regular golf area but I never used it. Beautiful walking areas it's a big place. Can be hard to find a spot up on top the hill were full hook up and easy walking to main areas. Seems like we always spend time balancing the camper no matter the site. Staff is on top of night time shenanigans usually. Pretty strict with regulating guest and number of people/cars at sites. Close to Millersville, park city mall when needed on rain day, Strasburg, and downtown Lancaster. I would say overall this at a typical moderate family campground. It's our current family go to location to get away. read more

So it is big and well kept camping ground.. But nobody seem to of told us and I even called up to find out before I booked it if you needed to make a reservation for three point hook ups and thousand trails said no you do not it's a first come service when we got there we couldn't get a three point hook up they told us that you have to make a reservation so somebody was off on their communication which pissed me off so that made me very upset about this campground.... As a 1000 trails member it should be first come first get!!! Where we had to go down by the water was no bathhouses nor bathrooms other then a porta potty which was very upsetting that we needed to trek a long distance to get to one not fun.. but it is a nice camp ground for the most part. read more

We stayed here last week on a weekday and were extremely disappointed with this RV Park. 1) It is very expensive... $67.00 plus tax and fees 2) wifi was only available at hotspots..not near our site. You can get it for an up charge of 3.95/day. 3) cable TV is also not included and costs 4.95/day. 4) the sites were not at all attractive or in great condition. 5) no activities were scheduled.. they are only on the weekends at this time of year. 6) The minute we arrived we were approached to buy a membership in Thousand Trails campgrounds and were treated rudely when we said we weren't interested. The indoor pool was the only nice feature but this RV park is DEFINITELY not worth $80.00 plus. We have never experienced such an expensive park in all our travels!! read more

Stayed here for Father's Day weekend, 2018. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The outdoor pool is large and was very clean with lots of seating. The indoor pool is ok, I guess. The kids liked it. What I don't enjoy is the disregard for the rules by fellow campers. My family and my sister's family have 6 children, 7 and under. The sites around us are blasting their music. Not just loud enough that we can hear, but so loud that it's bumping inside our trailer and forces us to have to speak loudly outside. I absolutely don't mind overhearing other peoples song choices, I like to turn mine up too once in awhile. However, this is ridiculous and goes all afternoon into the night. Some people might enjoy that, I don't. Hopefully security will come around and enforce the noise ordinance that may or may not be in place. I will not be returning....camping to me is a time for peace and relaxation. Not a club atmosphere. read more

Grounds are dirty and not taken care of. Some of the seasonal RV's look like mobile meth labs. Stone pads overgrown with grass, poor layout of sites. The main entrance and area around the pool is very nice until you enter the area where the sites are. read more

As usual thousand trails has added MORE rules and regulations and less camping enjoyment! There was a time when thousand trails (outdoor world) used to be worth the price of our annual dues (and then some) but sadly that has not been the case the last few years. Circle M is no different. The staff is rude and unwelcoming (and totally unhelpful). The grounds, while being clean, is crowded and needs quite a lot of work. We arrived to find the number of sites available to our size trailer were 36! After you factor in the sites that were closed and the sites that were already taken the number that we could choose from were 2! Every year we discuss whether we should renew our membership... this will be our last. read more

Circle M discriminates against the LGBT community... We made reservations at this property for September 14th for three nights. I arrived with our RV ahead of my fiance due to his work schedule. I checked in by myself, everything went fine, the lady behind the counter called for someone to escort me down and find a site. When I mentioned to her that I "may not be able to back in until Gary gets here". She then inquired: "who is he?". When I informed her that we were engaged, and who he was - she shut me down with a curt: "you can't come in here". When I inquired as to why, she told me nothing other than "you need to wait for Gary...you can wait outside or in your truck". I called Thousand Trails 800 number for customer service as did Gary, the customer service agent spoke to a supervisor who in turn didn't see an issue. The customer service agent called Circle M and informed the woman at the front desk there is no issue and that I was permitted to check in. Unfazed the woman at Circle M still refused. After another family finished their check in, I again went inside to speak with the woman, showing her our Insurance and Registration which has both of our names and our mutual address on it. To my shock, her response was: "that stuff means nothing to me, I don't recognize that sort of thing". Saddened and appalled I asked if he could circle the building to leave the property. The woman informed me I would have to make a u-turn in the small parking lot. I responded: "OK, I guess I will leave". Unbelievably, the employee said "good, we don't want your types here anyways". If this is indicative of Thousand Trails policy, please let us know. I assumed most modern companies had an anti-discrimination policy that includes sexual orientation. read more

I love, love this campground. Every weekend there's activities, staff is friendly, and they have lots to do. The campsites are all large, I didn't feel like my neighbors we're on top of me. The pool and hot tub were awesome, it's hard to find campgrounds around here with that luxury. They even had a bbq food truck, some weekends. I will be back next year. read more

The only reason the deserve one star is because of Alison... she is interactive and a wonderful manager/director Family has been going here for YEARS and when I say years I mean 10+ years. When I was about 7 years old this place was amazing, the indoor water park and pool are some of my best childhood memories. Dancing the night away with DJs in the wagon wheel and hanging out on the grounds. But like I said that was ten years ago.... now you must take care of your own lawn or grounds if you have them. The indoor water park is closed and poorly taken care of. They use to have a food stand and a fun indoor playground but it is all gone now. The wagon wheel looks just like it did 10 + years ago, no updates or even new decor. The DJ is an (excuse my French) A**hole and one of the rudest man I ever met. The video games have been there forever as well as the mini golf course. They also use to have a Kids Kool Klub, where parents could drop their kids off and it was so much fun. I could color or play board games with new friends. Now the building is used for what, storage?We pay a good amount of money to stay at this facility and the upkeep and activities have become some of the worst out of any facility we have ever stayed at. They have not even promised new changes or anything. Well I have a few, stop charging people so much money for the crappy facility. Finish the water park, and redecorate the wagon wheel, I mean Jesus people DIY their homes for less than 500 dollars. The activities are okay, like I said Alison is the only reason they are awesome. This was a very nice campground. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a lot of stuff to do for the entire family one outdoor swimming pool and one indoor swimming pool. Mini golf and a eighteen hole course an acarade that needs a little attention a few of the games are out of order. There is also a store with a built-in Cafe you can get pizza and hot dogs and nachos stuff like that. Most of the sites that have full hook ups are taken by seasonal campers so you will have to take a site near the river which are tight and unlevel if you're rig is longer than 29' and only have water and electric hook up. There is a honey wagon that runs everyday but some days they charge 5 dollars for it. That is why I only gave 4 stars otherwise not so bad. read more

My family and I have been to Circle M several times over the past couple years. While there for Memorial Day weekend 2017 we were thrilled with the improvements they have made. They removed the rundown water park and installed a beautiful pavilion. Many of the old rental cottages have been removed and brand new Yurts have been installed. Also, the RV storage area has been cleaned up to be a bit more presentable. Lastly, the sites are better maintained and they are more vigilant about ensuring that the larger sites are left open for big rigs. We were very pleased with the improvements and are looking forward to going back. read more

It gets 2 stars bcz the staff is very nice & the lawn well manicured. However, none of the sites are level, requiring a lot of elevation to make our RV usable. The 'reservation model is terribly flawed. You're given a piece of paper with supposedly available sites only to find upon arrival that someone is already camped. After you find a spot you must go in person to tell them your site number. You may not call the office with your number. The site we finally found had no number posted. The picknick table is a wreck and covered with bird waste. The sewer well isn't large enough to fit a modern sewer port requiring ferry-rigging to hook up. There is no television signal unless u buy their cable, but we like being outside. One neighbor stated that this campsite is nicer than 4 others in the area. Needless to say, Thousand Trails has been a great disappointment so far and we do not plan to sign up when the free trial expires. I recommend finding another area to camp. read more

One star is just a little too much for this disgusting facility. The pictures that they show on Yelp are false. They will put 8 people in a room the size of a closet and charge you $50 for leaving an ice tray in the freezer. I came up here with my dance ministry for a retreat and had to deal with racism. There was a hazel contact floating in the pool, I realized it while I was watching all of the Caucasians remove themselves and their children from the pool. The staff is... I honestly can't say much because I barely seen them. I look forward to the day that this establishment is bought and turned into something beautiful because right now it has no worth. Well management (Linda) has raised its ugly head again. It seems that speeding, unattended trailers, fire works, and drug busts and loud music are ok, but as a seasonal site member its not ok to put a sign up asking people not to let their dogs do their business on my site. I was told to take the sign down as it made my manager look bad. Management does not enforce any rules, making it hard to enjoy yourself there. Until corporate makes internal changes, this is not a safe place to camp. Its a shame, because it was and could be a nice campground. Its a management problem !!!! People are really getting fed up with management (Linda) lie all the time. PS management asked my daughter to remove her post and management (Linda) would work with her about a refund. Overall a great campground! Great location just outside of Lancaster and not far from Amish Country and the shops! Nice area right along the river (bring some tubes or kayaks). We were nervous to visit based on some of the not so good reviews we had read, but it was definitely nothing like those reviews. The only thing we didn't care for was the fact that you pick your own campsite when you arrive. We prefer assigned campsites. My fiancé and I both work in public safety/healthcare so sometimes it's hard for us to arrive on a Friday for a weekend stay therefore it would be hard to pick our own spot should they all be full. We were in the Delaware section of the campground. Campsites were spaced out nicely and level. We also didn't care for the old rundown trailers that were parked in the field. One of the trailers has a bunch of windows busted out and looks to be abandoned. Something should be done about that and it would definitely improve the appeal of the campground. However, don't let the negative and not so good reviews discourage you from visiting the campground, check it out for yourself! We will return. read more

I would love to give this a 5 star review, but we has some issues. They were handled quickly and to our satisfaction however. We rented a cabin, 5 adults and one child.The accommodations were really tight, but that was OK as all we did was sleep there for the most part. The first issue was the fridge did not get cold. We realized about 5 PM on Friday. The maintenance guy was super nice and got us all the ice we needed to keep things cold. He gave us a choice to see if it would get cold over night or he could replace it in the next hour. He mentioned that because of the size of the unit, it would be a tight fit and we would have to be outside. We decided to wait since we were starting to prepare for dinner. It was not cold on Saturday morning and when I went to tell the front desk, Nancy was SUPER SWEET and had it taken care of with in 60 minutes! The staff at Circle M are A-MAZE-ING! We didn't get to see much of the campsite, but the pools were nice. The Water park closed last year and while not on the website, was still on the expedia site we used. We visited here very early in the season (3rd week in April) when on a non-camping leisure trip. We were simply wanting to check out the campground, layout, amenities, etc. and see if Thousand Trails campgrounds were really going to be worth the investment in membership. We are thinking not--it is run down and shabby. While we did take into account the campground only opened up a couple weekends ago, it still appeared as though not much prep or maintenance had been done to get ready (maybe PA had some late snow like we did in NY). The woman at front desk was pleasant enough but seemed a little sleepy or tired and certainly was not proactive in promoting her facility. The main office did not seem too equipped for camper supplies yet either. they had no info on joining the Thousand Trails network either. We were allowed to drive in once i left my drivers license with the woman at desk. She opened gate and let us in giving us a map with some minimal directions on how to proceed. We found the roadways in fair to poor condition, some rutted dirt/gravel base, others that were paved were fair to decent. We specifically went down to see the "sites by the river" as we like to camp near water. We have a 24' travel trailer with a total length of 28' and did not see where we could back into any of the sites comfortably. All appeared very short and more suited for pop ups, tents or very small campers. There was no one camped in one section and a big fifth wheel broadside, parallel to the river down at the end. If all sites are intended to have campers park broadside then getting in and out can be a real challenge with someone on your bumper and another on your hitch end. Plus, you then have no privacy when sitting under your awning as you will all be in a row. There was little to no privacy at all between the sites along the river or on opposite side of the road. In fact, we really did not see many sites at all that had any type of trees or screening of bushes to provide you with any privacy at your site. The terrain in the entire campground is quite hilly too in many areas. There were cats roaming freely. There did appear to be a club house, perhaps with a snack bar and pool-not sure. There was a basketball court being used by some camper teens. There were at least a dozen campers of all kinds already set up whilly nilly and with lots of stuff outside them-looked very junky and almost like folks lived there year round. Perhaps they were seasonal sites and it almost seemed like they may have been used for more than just the past few weeks as weekend get away places. The place just seems cluttered and not well kept. We were not impressed and will not consider staying here. Thousand Trails as a membership organization really needs to raise the bar on the expectations of their contracted privately run campgrounds. There are many other private and state campgrounds closer to Lancaster tourism sites and activities. This was kind of out of the way and not walkable to anything. Also the turn to get in and out of the main drive onto the main road/highway was vicious and near a very bad turn. We were thankful we were not pulling out with our rig and can only imagine a 45 foot Class A with dingy trying to make a right turn out of the driveway. Ugh!! read more

People are racist and one even expressed to his friend that if one of us touch him he was going to kill us. Another person stated they were glad we were leaving. Maintenance tried to say we didn't clean after we left. They would not specify which cabin. We all had to turn around and take pictures showing proof that we left our cabins in order.
