I'm sure there are better spots to swim, but this place looks like it gets the job done. Dog friendly everywhere except on the beach itself. Dogs must be kept on a leash. Doggie clean up bags are not provided, so be sure to bring your own.

Was in town on business with a few hours to spare and found this park on my GPS. I saw it was…read moremoderately-sized and near a body of water, usually good things for city green space. The parking lot was small, but there was a fairly new playground and play area for kids, places to sit for parents, and a big open field for open recreation. Lack of shade structures and restrooms around the playground was a surprise and I'm not sure there was even a water fountain, but I didn't look for one either. Heading off into the woods, I found quite a few well-marked trails meandering around the hillside and down to the lakefront. On the water was one tree with steps nailed into the trunk and a rope swing attached. I'm not sure if it's even safe to swing into the water at that point, but on a hot summer day, I'd be hard pressed not to. There are houses around the lake with boat docks, so I'm sure the water's safe to swim in. Overall a pretty decent park with play areas and shaded hiking paths, even a few good fishing perches on the lakefront. I'd go again to kill an hour or so.

Lots of fast food restaurants nearby if you are looking to have a picnic or eat in the park. So many benches you relax on and there is a nice 1 mile walking path around the lake. This park has a lot you can do. Soccer and football areas, play structure, fishing - can even launch a boat, small hikes and a pool. It was so lovely we actually ended up coming back to take some graduation photos. Lovely spot!

An employee with BLUE HAIR approached me multiple times in a confrontational manner. First, she…read moretold me her manager had instructed her to speak with me. She later claimed I had signed a waiver stating I could not record. After reviewing the waiver I signed online, I found no such policy. She then returned and said she had just read it on the computer and wanted me to come to the computer with her. I declined because I had already reviewed the waiver myself. After these interactions, the employee continued walking around me, repeatedly looking at me and giving me dirty looks. Her behavior made me feel singled out, intimidated, and uncomfortable. Instead of de-escalating the situation, her repeated interactions increased my concern. I called to report what had happened and was told someone would contact me. More than an hour passed without a response while I was still at the facility. During that time, the employee remained there, which made me feel unsafe leaving. I became concerned about whether she had access to my personal information or information about my vehicle. I do not know whether she does, but the situation caused me significant

Follow Up Review Response: I see the business responded to…read moremy comment and I applaud and appreciate them being responsive to feedback. I do want to reiterate that my experience could have gone very differently with a "I'm sorry that there was confusion about when you'd be able to access the room. I can see how that might be frustrating. We will do everything we can to get you access to the room as soon as possible." Nothing like this was ever said. We were told the room is in use and the room is being cleaned and then we were admitted. We were admitted before the stated contract time but the reason I choose to still provide feedback about the experience is b/c while contract language says "jump time 1-2, room time 2-3" there was also email guidance about what could be brought in and how access to the room could be granted upon arrival to decorate and set up, which lead to my confusion. Also EVERY other party we have attended there and I'd say it's over 5 we had access to the room no fewer than 30+ minutes prior to "room time" or before the end of "jump time" however you want to phrase it. There's a difference between being contractually "in the right" and providing quality customer service. It's true it said room time 2-3 but it did not say no access will be provided to the room prior to that time and did have conflicting guidance in emails about access to decorate, etc. Lastly, based on the comment about being dissatisfied with the outcome, I want to be clear the only "resolution" or "outcome" I was looking for was room access, which we eventually received and we expressed our appreciation for your party planner with both words of gratitude, tip, and assisting her in getting all the items upstairs. But the outcome we never received, which appears we won't, was an acknowledgment of our feelings or even a bit of empathy for the confusion we had and the frustration we felt. Maybe it was entirely my fault to misunderstand email language about set up and base my expectations on past experiences, but all it would have taken was a simple "I'm sorry there's confusion. I see how that could be frustrating. We will do what we can to get you access as soon as possible." That's all I needed...
