We own a 2005 Mazda Tribute with 234,000 miles. The Tribby just lost power one morning on the way to work then ran rough and did not shift right as we limped it into town. Dropped it at a shop for a diagnosis. Shop determined that the PCM (Power Control Module) had failed, new module $1586.00. They recommended junking the Tribby even though it was in really excellent condition for a 16 year old vehicle. Had the engine codes read at Autozone and the codes were related to coil packs. Did a bit of research and found that blown PCMs were not unheard of for 2005 Tributes. Found Circuit Board Medics and decided to give them a try. After the PCM was repaired along with new coil packs and plugs the Tribby runs like new! Here is the total breakdown of the cost involved - - Initial shop diagnosis fee $95 - PCM repair by circuitboardmedics - $199 - New Motorcraft coil packs and plugs $325 - Intake gasket set $20 - Valve cover gasket set $60 - Labor (friend of ours, SAE mechanic) $400 I highly recommend circuitboardmedics for a PCM repair! Excellent turnaround on the repaired part - with shipping and the coil packs we were into them for $550 but the coil pack cost is not bad for an OEM part. Locally the Motorcraft coil packs (6) were over $400 so we went with the package offered by CBM. If you have a 2005-2006 Ford Escape or Mazda Tribute make sure you change the spark plugs every 2 years or 50,000 miles. In our case we had NEVER changed the original plugs...we had 234,000 miles on the original plugs. Do a search on this issue...there were PCM failures on this model even during the initial warranty period, enough so that Ford extended the original warranty to 80,000 miles but even with regular plug changes some vehicles will still experience the blown PCM. If you have the issue and the stored codes refer to a coil pack issue give CBM a try if the vehicle is worth saving, you could save yourself $1000 dollars or more over what a local shop will charge and make that Escape or Tribute last a few more years. read more

I never write reviews but CBM deserves a GREAT review so here goes! I'm a retired electronics engineer who was helping a friend who has a Dacor range that is more than 20 years old and that had stopped working correctly. I removed and debugged both the control board and relay board on my test bench and determined that the problem was likely the control board but without schematics I could go no further. Neither the control board nor the relay board are still available, only services that claim they can repair them. I was skeptical that anyone could actually fix these but the online reviews for Circuit Board Medics were so positive (especially compared to the other repair services) that I called CBM and spoke with Drew. I emailed him a detailed description of what I had uncovered in my testing along with a video of the control board's behavior as shown on the oven's display panel. Drew showed this to his technician and the technician indicated that they could fix the problem. My friend and I sent both the control board and the relay board back (just in case there was something on the relay board that I didn't catch) to CBM . A day or two after they received the boards I got a call from CBM indicating the problem was fixed along with a description of what they did to the boards. Needless to say, I was impressed. After reinstalling the boards the range once again works perfectly! Note: CBM's prices are somewhat higher than the other services but what they did and how they did it makes it worth every penny! They saved me THOUSDANDS of dollars by fixing my double ovens! I recently sent them 3 control boards from my 1996 Thermador double ovens from my home outside Boston, MA. These ovens have a known problem of the capacitors and some of the electronic components wearing out and the displays starts dimming and then no display at all. The ovens worked but I had to use my memory of where things were and there was no confirmation as there was no display. I sent them all three boards and the oven display and function is now like new for a few hundred dollars! The quality of the repairs, and the responsiveness to my questions was wonderful. (I was a newbie at unplugging connectors and found that I had to open the crimp slightly with a drywall screw so I didn't pull the board apart tugging--then compressed ever so slightly with pliers so it would go back and not be loose after the repair. Note: they DID NOT tell me to do this... but I felt as though I might pull apart the old board with too much force when removing some of the old push-together metal connectors) I used photos and a video of the connectors before removal, and most importantly a piece of cardboard to save the position of each connector in place until the boards came back to me... I am so happy I found them! They did not ask me to post this and I already sent them a nice thank you email. My Whirlpool double-oven circuit board started to exhibit an E6 F2 error and would turn itself off intermittently during the middle of baking. The Monday one week prior to Thanksgiving the touch panel display stopped showing anything and the oven no long worked long enough to finish baking anything. Research told me this was the logic board but Whirlpool has discontinued selling the part and having a new double-oven installed by Thanksgiving was questionable. Through a bit more research I came across Circuit Board Medics in Greenville SC and while I did not find any reviews under their testimonials page, I found the comments listed on YELP very helpful. I called CBM and spoke to a pleasant person that told me more about their business. Using their website I created a support case and shipped my logic board out overnight on Wednesday morning. CBM notified me the next Thursday morning as soon as it was received and again Friday went the repaired part had shipped with a tracking number. Since FedEx does not deliver on weekends I received the part Monday morning the week of Thanksgiving. I installed the part and it worked. I purposely waited until the week after Thanksgiving to make this post to make sure the board was going to hold up through all the baking and it did. I don't post reviews often, but CBM has earned it in spades. My 20 year old Whirlpool double oven quit. No oven lights, clock, bake, nothing. Circuit breaker was fine and the thermal fuse attached to the rear of the board looked good so I sent the board off to CBM. I received an email when it arrived and a phone call the next day from Jason explaining that the board appeared to work fine but there were some suspect parts. He recommended I test continuity on the fuse, which I did, and although not obvious, found it was blown. He gave me several options with no pressure, even offering to ship the board back untouched. I chose to have them rebuild the board since it was there, assuming something on it caused the fuse to blow. Meanwhile he sent me a link to buy a replacement fuse. The board was finished the next day and arrived two days later. Plugged in the thermal fuse and wiring harness to the board and the oven came to life. I ran it through a couple cycles and it's working great. CBM saved me from having to purchase a new oven. They were incredibly responsive and very knowledgeable. Thanks for the great work! 2011 allison transmission TCM. Mine went bad, left me without my truck. Part is nearly impossible to find post 2019. Junkyard wanted $2,500. I kept seeing circuit board medics pop up In my search online. After reading their reviews and not being able to source a new TCM anywhere else, I decided to give them a try. I opted for the repair of my existing TCM instead of the slightly more expensive option of them sending a refurbished one immediately and then you have 15 days to return the core. I was not disappointed, the turnaround was a day and a half. Took about 6 days from when I dropped it off to fedex to when I got it back ready to plug and play. Installed it immediately, and was both relieved and impressed. My truck is back, it's shifting great, I've had zero issues with it since getting it back. Top notch service and quality. Avoided the Cost of a New $3,000 Fridge When we bought our home four years ago, it included an 8-year old, $3,000 Jenn-Air French door refrigerator with bottom freezer. Recently, the fridge section stopped cooling so we had an authorized Jenn-Air tech make a service call to diagnose the problem. He said the main circuit board (the exact same part used in many other manufacturers' refrigerators) needed replacing but that it was no longer available. (How's that for planned obsolescence?) Moreover, even if I could find a used one, they refused to install it for liability reasons. I did some searching and found that Circuit Board Medics could repair this part for $129. I was facing having to buy an expensive, new refrigerator when the control board on our 11 year-old Kitchen-Aid made the fan short-cycle. The board is no longer made, of course. After watching CBM's video on replacing the board, I ordered one and popped it in. Problem solved, but a new problem came up with defrosting, leaving food in the refrigerator side frozen. I called and spoke to Chas, who looked at my board number and model number, and told me that problem was a new one to them. He over-nighted another board, and sent a return shipping label for my original and the first replacement. They went back, and the deposit was refunded on the original, just as promised. The refrigerator runs well, and all is good with "She-who-must-be-obeyed." (She didn't want a new one because the handles wouldn't match the oven; I didn't want a new one because $$$$.) So happy with Circuit Board Medics - saved me probably close to $1000 and a lot of hassle. Got a refurbished motor control unit for our Whirlpool Duet washer for $170 plus tax plus $10 prepaid shipping to send back the fried board. The repair guy said that both the central control board and the motor control board were bad and it would cost less to get a new machine than to repair it. But the error code did not indicate a CCU problem, and it seemed unlikely to me that both boards went out at the same time, so I emailed Circuit Board Medics, got some good advice, and got the replacement motor control unit, and swapped it. It's nice that they give you the entire unit, not just the board, so it's very easy to put it. The hardest thing was putting the panels back on the machine. Only one screw left over...that's the lucky screw. read more

I wasn't sure if CBM is as great as people said. However, I didn't have much choice. My experience with Circuit Board Medics has been very, very good. The online buy worked easy. Once the DIM from my 2004 Volvo XC90 arrived I was notified. Since the part was not reparable, the circuit board of the DIM was replaced and all data (mileage, ....) for no additional charge. Since I was in a time pressure, I ordered 3-day-shipping. Because of the non-reparable situation, CBM needed a day longer to do their job. Unfortunately, I needed to upgrade from 3 to 2-day-shipping. Circuit Board Medics repaired the engine control computer for my 2007 Mercury after it failed due to a bad ignition coil. I shipped it via FedEx to them and it was repaired and tested in one day and immediately sent back to me on FedEx. When it was put back in my car (along with new ignition coils and spark plugs) it worked perfectly right off the bat. The car started right away. Because I had the old one repaired instead of replacing it I saved considerably over the cost of a new one. I also was spared the expense and inconvenience of having to get the keys reprogrammed. They kept me informed of the process the whole way, and answered my questions about, and tested, some other functions of the device. I had been baffled by my ABS light being on for years. The more i drove it (2004 6. 0 f250 418,000 K miles) the more i recognized how dangerous it was. After changing everything else i finally decided to give circuit board medics a try. I was able to finagle the abs module off of the manifold block without ever loosening a single brake line so bleeding brakes was not necessary. I recieved the original repaired module back and had it installed in less than 72 hours (were in the middle of Texas). It worked perfectly. It took 2 or 3 start/drive cycles for the light to go out and it has been working flawlessly for weeks now without the light reappearing. i found circuit board medics. i sent my 1997 jenn aire double oven control boards (3) to circuit board medics. The oven and display were completely inoperable when i sent these. I figure i would rather spend $160 or so for rebuilt control boards than spend $2500 or more, on a new double oven. These folks received the boards in one day, repaired them in one day, and i received them back on third day. I put them back and the oven and display worked great. You have to be careful with removing the boards as there are many connections. If you make a map and tag the wires its really all not that hard.....half hour out and 20 minutes back in, and good as new......this was really a good experience and i'm happy i found them. Dealing with your company is a pleasure. This was the second time i used your services. Last Saturday i awoke to a dead 42" built-in Kitchen Aid Refrigerator. I called "the guy" who worked on it before, he told me 3 day's before he could show up and diagnose the problem. i found your video on You Tube, your video mentioned exactly what typically goes bad on the main board, so i ordered one on-line. My wife's BMW wasn;t running right and after spending a small fortune on new coils, wires, spark plugs and various sensors we determined that the problem was the DME, engine control module. We first sent the unit to a company in New York that told us they checked it out and nothing was wrong with it, but we had the same problem.
