Had an amazing time at the NASCAR race! There were tons of people, but the parking and traffic control was excellent. We had no issues leaving in a timely manor. They had several food and drink options and the lines moved very quickly. Can't wait to go back!

Came for the Drone show and was pleasantly surprised at the venue. Parking was easy enough and gaining entry consisted of showing tickets and a quick bag check. The venue had food stands open with various drinks and foods for purchase. There was picnic seating (grass) or seats you could pay for. Def opt for the seats...very comfortable. Easy access to restrooms as well right behind the location. Show started a couple after the time allowed and was great! There were sooo many different visualizations and just amazing. Odd part is I feel they came out better on the phone than in real life, but still fun. Seeing them come together and move around left me in awe. We couldn't figure out how many drones were there but it was a site to see. They had live sting quartet there as well to play along with the drones which didn't disappoint. The show lasted about an hour and went by very fast. If you get the chance to see this, I'd recommend!

It was cool to see the track while on the premises for karting! There's also mini was some sort of race of (mostly) BMW cars. They were so loud and fun to watch going around. Also looks like there are many events planned for holidays, based on the ads around and on socials. I'm excited to come back next year for F1!!

One of the best track in F1 calendar and I am glad that I can experience it. Good views from all the turns, plenty of action. Even general admission, because COTA has elevation changes, you can have a good view from GA too unlike in a flat track. Food: plenty of choices. U got bbq and Mexican (of course). Typical pizza, chicken and corn dog. And they have Mediterranean this year too. Drinks. In a hot day, 95F+, they need to sell more Gatorade or water with electrolytes instead of beer. People, include volunteers looks like they were in a bad shape under the sun all day. Parking: unless u have GA ticket and bringing chairs and stuff. Don't be stupid, get the shuttle. I see people park like a mile away so they have to walk at night on the side of the road which is crazy. Improvement: if the water station provide cold ice water. That would be so help in the summer heat.

It was a great weekend, everyone at the track was friendly, easy to park, easy to get credentials, easy to axis, clean, bathroom, bathrooms, great food, great atmosphere totally recommend this place circuit of the Americas and if you have a chance go up on the tower to watch the whole track from up there. They are billing a brand new theme park that will open up on. Summer 2026 #cota #austintexas #nascar

I know people love to complain but as first time USGP attendees we enjoyed our Friday. Parking and exiting weren't as scary as folks on Reddit made it seem, but also we did stay till the concert for the exiting crowd to die down. Shoutout to Lot F for being directly across the street from the exit nearest the Super Stage - knew I won the lottery! Entry was a little confusing because there were several gates only for VIPs and staff/vendors. Even as someone who reads maps decently well I struggled to navigate & understand where I was at in any particular moment. We eventually just followed the crowd and tried to use what limited signage there is up on the circuit. We got lucky later on with access to turn 13 trackside suites. They have 2 floors and private bathrooms. While it's still not full blown A/C it's better than the GA hills. Great views of the racecars from the 1st floor balcony and 360 views from the open-air 2nd floor, including part of turn 1 I believe? Could be wrong though. Their hospitality staff provided great service & nonstop food changes. I hope some of the team had the opportunity to take home leftovers because what a waste of perfectly good food!!

Probably one of the best experiences you can have in Austin is the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. I'll be honest, I don't follow the sport much. But I had fun regardless. This is an experience. I'd recommend getting the weekend tickets so you can watch the practice and qualifying sessions. When you arrive for race day on Sunday, the crowd is electric. You can feel the energy in the air. I love how you can walk on the track after the race is finished. There are amazing concerts throughout the weekend. The food options are plentiful. You can basically find any type of food you want. It can be a little hot even in October. So be prepared. And you should expect to walk quite a bit. It is pricey, but worth it. It's not something I would pay for every year. However, everyone should experience this at least once.

I'm a huge Formula 1 fan and I go to Circuit of the Americas every single year. But there are definitely things that could be improved. It's always extremely hot in October and there's almost no shade anywhere at the track. For the amount fans pay (often $400+), you'd think there would be more canopies, trees, or shaded areas to help people out. The heat plus all the dirt being kicked up makes it a pretty rough experience at times. And this year, the staff at the Haven on Turn 9 were rude when checking you in and they told my family to leave before their closing hour and I didn't see anyone else being told to leave because they were "closing." If anything we just needed some AC before the long walk home. So that really took away from the experience. I still love F1 and I love coming to COTA, which is why I'm rating it four stars. But there's definitely room for improvement to make the fan experience more comfortable and enjoyable.

If you're invited for an event by a sponsor to attend one of the clubs; you'll get good treatment and a place out of the sun. If you're a "normie", if you want to see F1 GP at the COTA; prepare for $250 parking in the garage. Food is expensive as per expected but not that great. There is absolutely 0 shade in the stands and if you bring a bag needs 12x12 max. Merchandise here at vendors are like triple price of Amazon. Huge lines, you need to come early. Ticketmaster is what they use and I strongly suggest saving them to your phone digital wallet. Obviously, no weapons like any event. So, 3* because of the lack of space and crazy prices. 4* if you're at one of any of the sports illustrated clubs largely because the merchandise for what you would pay for tickets are meh.

This was my second time watching the F1 race at COTA. What I like about this track is that a General Admission ticket will allow you to walk around the whole venue and sit wherever you can find a spot (non reserved seating of course). I was surprised by all the outside items people brought in. I guess they don't have a strict prohibited item list. I recommend bringing a camping chair (purchase one at Academy!), umbrella, hat, and sunscreen. Getting into the parking lots on Qualifying and Race Day is ridiculous. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get to your prepaid lot and to walk to your section. I would plan at least two extra hours. There are lots of food and merchandise booths throughout the venue. This year, Amex customers received complimentary race radios to listen to live coverage. This is one of those things you never knew you needed. It's hard to follow the race if you're not near a screen or have access to the F1 app. If you have a ticket that includes any of the concerts, GO! The first time I went Pink performed, this year it was Eminem.

We attended the F1 USGP here! This place is massive and you'll definitely be hitting your step goals daily walking around all day. I'd recommend coming early and plan to sit in traffic going in/out when you're driving in since there were so many bottlenecks to get to the main roads. We attended Qualifying and Race Day and splurged on seats in the Main Grandstand because 1) it was shaded and the TX heat don't play, 2) there were bathrooms exclusively for this space (complete with lines but they moved fast and they were real bathrooms vs. the porta-potties outside!), 3) we also had club access with our tickets which weren't leveraged too much but it was nice to not wait AS LONG for drinks and snacks. We had a great view of the podium as well as the pit lanes and finish line. There were a variety of food and merchandise booths across the venue. My favorite was the lemonade stand where the vendor legit manually squeezed lemons so it tasted fresh AF. As with any event, merchandise pricing was higher than what you would typically pay for online except for the COTA branded merchandise which was reasonably priced.

This may be an unfair review due to this experience was thanks to Lamborghini and having VIP passes. We had a special area to park and air-conditioned shuttles transported us to the Lamborghini courtesy area .It was really hot today and was thankful to have a cool area to watch the race cars qualifiers The inside area had breakfast, lunch and dinner for those who had passes although you could walk around the track and purchase food if wanted. There was plenty of seating available and outside couches for viewing the race cars as they went by. I would highly recommend earplugs to reduce your chance of leaving with major hearing damage. If you have ever been to a race car race you will understand. We did go watch some of the qualifications earlier in the day where crowds were less and really enjoyed the open air seating . Would like to go again if invited.

My first time visiting the COTA. Usually the Formula 1 races are super expensive and I was not able to try COTA previously, thanks to Foodieland's Food expo, we were able to visit. The COTA was huge. I was awestruck by their grandiose infrastructure but they failed at proper infrastructure and logistics to handle crowds. Parking lots don't have sign boards, they have temporary light boards which weren't helpful. The parking lots were seldom close to the arena. So we had to drive until we reached an empty lot, but were stopped by pedestrians constantly trying to get to the other sides of the roads. No one guided us. We just followed the cars in front of us. There we no enough shuttle vans to shuttle us the long distance that we covered trying to park. Imagine the plight of seniors, waiting in the sun to get their turn to board these. There were abundant porta-potty available too. Hopefully they get better at this. The event was amazing and was able to try new cuisines from different parts of the world. Nigerian eggusi and Fufu, Asian baos, West African chickpeas fritters, honeycomb, banana puddings etc. Ambiance - 2/5 Logistics - 1/5 Safety - 4/5 Parking 1/5

For Oct 2021 F1 Race will it have WiFi? Can't believe the "tech capital" wouldn't but I see in previous years it didn't exist or was spotty. Any thoughts?

From past experience I had good AT&T LTE/5GE coverage except in places where thousands of people gathered near one location like at the evening concerts. As for WiFi there may be a few locations setup like in the clubs where vaguely remember seeing… Read more

I have tickets to formula one this weekend. If it rains, are the parking lots paved or will it be muddy like it was a few years ago?

USGP 2019 is over for this year which had perfect weather. The parking lots are still the same where Lots A, B, C, D are paved and the rest gravel. Best solution when it does rain like it did in 2015 is to ride the shuttle from downtown and upgrade… Read more

Is beer the only adult beverage sold? Is liquor available to purchase?

Yes, they have a bar up by the big grassy area. They usually have margaritas also.

Are there chairs available to rent at concerts?

If you're speaking for the lawn seating, no. You can bring your own foldable or a blanket but when the concert starts everyone tends to move up and everyone starts putting their chairs up.

Has anyone sat in the turn 9 bleachers for the concert? How is it? Were you sad you weren't on the grass?

Been sitting in Turn 9 for F1 for the past 2 years. It has a great view to watch the race and near parking Lot L. You can see and here the performer well from the bleachers where there are huge video screens on both sides of the stage. Access to… Read more

A few things that stood out to me.  The staff was very nice, incredibly informative.  I love driving a stick shift but don't use paddle shifters so that took me some time to get used to.  The technology here is so immersive.  The whole 'rig' moves.  It shakes when you crash, it bumps when you bump, etc...the handling of the car felt incredibly real and varied by car which was both impressive and made it harder (at least for me).   We were there for nearly 2 hours playing almost non stop and if I didn't have to go, I'd have loved to stay longer.  It's an investment for sure and one that is well worth it imo for people of all interests and driving skill level  (they did mention they can adjust things to make it easier to pick up for newer folks, etc..) BTW - I think this would be a really fun team-building event for any companies out there, especially if you're a competitive bunch. If you want to do something different from the usual with your friends, sign up.  They'll soon have some adult beverages available too!  Hopefully you ahve as much fun as I did.

None of the bleachers had shade, in either the music venue, or the grandstands overlooking competition. Food vendors were kind of lackluster as well, in my opinion. In a town that is known for its culinary inspirations and plethora of food trucks, you'd think you could have better options than an $8 grilled cheese. Another subtracted star for your music- Nicki Minaj, really?!? That's not all that conducive to the this sport or crowd. Kudos for Metallica, though. Plus, why put the main stage a literal mile walk away from the competitive field?? There was so much open area passed on that long, pointless walk. Also, the timing of the daytime musical acts was very poor- why not schedule acts to perform during competitive breaks, not during actual completion; you're forced to make a choice. You did do a good job with ample portos, and having a fair amount of actual pottys available. Also with water stations. You offered plenty of meet-n-greets with athletes, which was great for attendees. There was also a good amount of sponsors and swag for people to enjoy. So, it wasn't all bad.
