Everything about Citadel spaces far exceeded all of our expectations. I'm so grateful that our paths crossed with Alex, he is such a patient and calm individual and very understanding and intuitive. We were looking to get our floors redone, as well as remodeling of our fireplace area. After meeting with us, Alex was able to confidently guide us in directions that would suit our timeline, budget, and lifestyle. He was really patient as we took our time figuring out which products we would like, as well as working up costs for us. The planning experience for the project was great, but once the project actually got started was when I knew citadel spaces was really special. I can't speak highly enough about the professionalism and work ethic of every single person on the team. From the demolition portion to the final touches, everything was impeccable. The crew would work long hours when they were able to, but were always respectful of our family. They were all really sweet with my two toddlers, and did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day. The way they all paid attention to detail and took pride in their work was really awesome to see. Each crew member seemed like they were doing the work because they actually really loved it- it was as if they were doing it for their own homes. Our neighbors, who are highly experienced in construction and remodeling, would regularly come check on the progress and they say they have not seen anything like this in all their years. They will definitely be recommending citadel spaces for any remodel work that comes up with their friends and family as well. As two working parents with small kids I also can't say enough about how the workers would text me every morning with their ETA and give me updates throughout the day. They were all very mindful of the disruption that remodels can cause for families and they did their best to help. They got the job done quickly while maintaining excellent quality. We had a lot of questions along the way, and even decided to change up a few things on the fly, and Alex was very patient and happy to brainstorm ideas and provide additional insights. He's very approachable and always made me feel like I could come to him with any question. All in all, I am so ecstatic with the entire process and the final product! We have gotten so many compliments on the work, and we are already planning what our next updates will be with Citadel spaces.

My husband and I had been wanting to get our floors redone for quite some time. Our house is 24 years old and in need of some upgrades. We wanted to remove our very worn carpet and the porcelain tile throughout the home and replace it with LVP. We got a couple of quotes from other companies recommended to us, but I did my own online research and came across Citadel Spaces and connected with Alex. As soon as he came out to our house to meet with us and talk through the project, my husband and I knew we had found the right company for our project. His patient and calm demeanor, his effort to make sure he understood exactly what we wanted, along with his knowledge and professionalism, put us completely at ease. We considered laying the LVP over the tile, given that the cost of removing the tile increased the project costs significantly. However, Alex knew we wanted a perfectly level floor when the project was finished and offered us an economical option that included removing all of the tile and carpet, laying the LVP over the subfloor throughout the house. Given that the demolition required removing the tile, our project required us to move out of our house, along with all of the furniture, for the duration of the project. Alex understood this was going to be challenging and provided us suggestions and options for how to minimize this imposition and assured us the project would stay on schedule to ensure we weren't displaced for long. Throughout the entire process, Alex touched base with us almost daily to provide status updates and was very responsive when we had any questions. When his team discovered that the subfloor was uneven and above the allowable percentage over building code, he made sure we understood the issue and recommended a way to address it while keeping to the project timeline. The entire Citadel Team was so professional and worked very hard to ensure that the work was of the highest quality. They paid attention to every detail during the process and clearly took pride in their work. Our project included some unexpected challenges, but the team worked long hours to get it done on time, without cutting any corners. They were fantastic! We are thrilled with our new floors and baseboards and have gotten so many compliments on them and the quality of the work. Next year, we'd like to get our kitchen cabinets redone and do a bathroom remodel. We will absolutely reach back out to Alex and engage Citadel Spaces for those projects. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

I had no idea where to start with my kitchen remodel. I wanted a clean, modern, livable space within my budget, but everything seemed complicated until I found this team. They supported me in choosing the cabinet, flooring, and fixtures that blended well with my taste and budget. It was easy because I focused on major decisions without overwhelming myself. It feels like a dream walking into my kitchen. Functional beautiful island, light countertops, matte black fixtures-a classy contrasting look. Sleek, spacious cabinets keep the room open and organized. Of course, slight misalignments, but they fixed them out immediately. I highly appreciate their responsiveness. If your concern is cost, I will recommend them, for they have made my dream real with an economic cost.

He was by far the most responsive - quick to answer calls, prompt with follow-ups, and genuinely easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. His quote was the most competitive I received. He was flexible and willing to accommodate my specific installation needs. Unfortunately, due to circumstances on my end completely unrelated to Cesar or his work, I was unable to move forward with him for this particular project - and I genuinely regret that. He was professional, personable, and gave me every reason to trust him and his work. If you are looking for a countertop installer who is reliable, fairly priced, and will actually pick up the phone - look no further. I would not hesitate to call him again for a future project and recommend him without any reservation to anyone in the market for countertop work.

The project included a half wall of granite behind the tub and granite counter tops in the master bath. In the guest bath we used quartzite on the vanity and on top of a small cabinet. Overall Performance: 1. Quick response, great communication and price. Cesar responded quickly and provided a very competitive quote. Good and timely communication is important to me and a must to avoid mistakes when doing projects that involve a lot of detail. Cesar quickly responded to all my questions, listened to what my vision was and personally came out on several occasions to review the project site. 2. Quality work and up for a challenge. Cesar is very experience and his team is very talented. I had one slab of granite that I wanted to flow seamlessly behind my freestanding tub. It was going to be tight and no room for error. The slab needed to be cut in half, flipping and taking pieces out of order from both sides, then perfectly matched on design to flow seamlessly. I also wanted a boarder backsplash of the same granite to go around the vanities. Other fabrication companies I quoted said it was not possible. Cesar took on the challenge and executed my vision perfectly. That's true talent and great craftsmanship! 3. Personal attention and hands on involvement. Cesar is very hands on for all his projects. He believes in quality over quantity and doing the job right the first time. Even with that said, he is very timely on getting the job done. He manages his schedule efficiently, effectively and meets all his schedules on time. I really appreciate this because when you have lots of trades coming in on a remodel, timing is everything to keep the schedule on track. In summary I would highly recommend Cesar (and we already have) for any type of stone fabrication and installations needs. I will upload some pictures but the pictures don't do justice as seeing the stone in real life.

I found Red Diamond thru Yelp and Dennis was one of the first companies to respond back. Dennis came quickly to assess the situation, give advice, and measure. He gave a competitive estimate. Dennis even came with me to Arizona Tile to find a new granite slab. When it was time to do the job, the workers did a thorough and high quality job. They even did the necessary counter reinforcements with no extra charge. I have a tricky kitchen with a corner kitchen sink. They did a good job of trying to match the granite line pattern to each other and doing only one seam. It was difficult but they did it! What I learned: -Stay away from the low quality pre-fab granite or quartz pieces. Always go with a fabricator and installer. -Try not to do a renovation during the holidays. Installers may be slower to respond during holidays. We found that to be the case. -Ask lots of questions: about quality, sealant, cleaning countertops, etc. -Go with Red Diamond. They were great to work with - quick, high attention to detail, respectful and friendly, and competitive in price. I recommend Red Diamond and would hire them again. Look for them on Instagram. They have amazing pictures of their work.

He came to the house quickly and took measurements and said he would send the estimate the next day. A week later we had heard nothing from him, so I sent emails and texts several time without a response. Finally after a week he responded with an estimate. I sent him a message with a couple of questions and asked when he would be able to do the work. I also asked him to send a contract proposal so we could set a date for the work. He told me that he could start on March 20, and would send a contract. No contract was sent and I sent him several emails telling him to please send the contract so we could get the work going. He finally responded the day before the work was to begin telling me he was very busy and had not yet send the contract, and could not possibly get to the job until the following month. I told him OK, but please send the contract so we could get a firm start date. I waited until the second week in March and he never contacted me again nor did he send a contract. At that point I contacted another contractor who came the next day, measured the areas and sent a proposal the next day. They came out the following week and completed the project. As of today, he has not contacted me with a "contract" or any explanation as to why. If he decided that he did no longer wanted to do the work he should have said so. This is not very responsible.

We had our kitchen remodeled using the contractors and staff at the Sacramento Kitchen Mart…read morefacility. It's hard to know where to begin because the experience with KM is so different from that experienced with typical contractors. Communication. Typically a major frustration with contractors was in fact excellent with KM. Emails and calls were returned in a timely manner and they go to great lengths to explain the process and provide a detailed timeline. Duration of work. We had gotten estimates of 4-6 months to complete our remodel; KM was finished in a little over a month. They stuck to their schedule (despite problems that arose with suppliers) and always communicated any changes that were required. They handled all of the permitting requirements, and in Davis that is not a small task. Notable is that a KM staffer came to the house the day of final inspection and looked at the whole house for potential problems. He replaced ALL of our smoke detectors at no cost just to make sure there were no problems with the inspection. The Davis inspector was very impressed with the work and passed the job without any concerns. Quality of work. We had superb craftsmen work on our project; John and Zachary and Joe were all just excellent. They took pride in their work, showed up on time, and always communicated what they were doing. They took great pains to minimize dust and overall mess. Huge sheets of plastic were placed floor to ceiling to localize the dust and debris. Sheets of protective material were placed on the floor. Everything was done in a professional manner. The supervisor of our project, Edgar, was remarkable in watching over the project and being there whenever needed. Sourcing of materials. KM can provide pretty much everything you need with regards to cabinets, fixtures and some appliances. The quality of all materials from KM was excellent and so much more convenient than searching it out on your own. I have to add, however, that their recommended appliance source, A-1 appliance, was very disappointing. A-1 failed to order our rangetop despite it being paid for well in advance, and their installers were incompetent and rude. Our project foreman, Edgar, intervened and was a lifesaver in getting a rangetop in time to prevent a major delay, and in fixing the poor installation provided by A-1. Cost. We had many estimates for our remodel and KM was far from the highest. Their estimate was very accurate and very reasonable considering the quality of work, convenience, and the speed with which the work was done. In summary, Kitchen Mart stands way way above the pack when it comes to the often tedious and stressful process of remodeling your home. They offer a one stop solution, do superb work at a reasonable price, and complete the work in a very timely fashion. We plan to have them do our bathrooms and in fact would not consider anyone else.

    * NG Flooring** I…read morerecently had the pleasure of working with NG Flooring, and my project manager, Tobias, was exceptional! From the very beginning, he was incredibly helpful and truly understood the scope of the project and the timeframe I was aiming for. Given the complexities of other projects happening simultaneously, Tobias navigated everything with professionalism and clear communication. He set realistic expectations and timelines, which made the entire process much smoother. The final result exceeded my expectations--the new floors look fantastic! The team efficiently demoed the old flooring, reattached the baseboards, and even installed beautiful tile in the bathrooms. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work and the service I received. I highly recommend NG Flooring and give them a well-deserved five-star rating!

We hired Wolff Construction for a kitchen and living room remodel, and NG Floors was subcontracted…read moreto replace the flooring throughout our home. Unfortunately, the flooring portion of the project became an extremely stressful experience. Throughout the replacement project after our GC was informed of the flooring not being a product failure, Nazar (owner) was our primary and essentially only point of contact regarding the second flooring installation and follow-up work. One of the ongoing frustrations throughout the process was the lack of proactive communication and scheduling consistency. Many times, we found ourselves having to initiate contact just to understand timelines, next steps, or when work would actually resume. There were also instances where scheduling expectations were unclear or changed at the last minute, including receiving calls late on Fridays asking if crews could come work on Saturdays after we had previously understood that no weekend work was planned. That level of uncertainty became very difficult to manage while simultaneously trying to live around a major flooring replacement. After installation, the flooring began failing. What was initially presented as a product issue ultimately turned into a dispute involving the flooring manufacturer, who required a third-party inspection to determine the cause of failure. That independent inspection identified the issue as installation-related, including improper floor preparation, spacing issues, and the absence of a proper moisture barrier. What made the situation especially difficult was the amount of disruption this caused our family. Our home was left torn apart and partially unlivable for over three months during the holidays, beginning Nov. 3rd and extending well past New Year's and into February while the flooring issue was being addressed. This was not due to material shortages or product availability delays, but rather the prolonged pace of the repair process itself. Despite the actual flooring work only taking a couple of weeks to complete, we spent more than 90 days living in and out of the house while our belongings were stacked throughout the garage and much of the home was reduced to exposed concrete slab. We later learned that the flooring material installed was also of a noticeably lower quality than the original flooring product we believed was being matched as part of the initial remodel project. Even after the installation deficiencies were identified, many proposed solutions came with resistance or delays, and we ultimately had to hire an outside flooring professional at our own expense to oversee the final installation process ourselves. We also paid for hotel stays and other various costs associated with making sure the second replacement job was done to ASTM standards. To be fair, there were times communication was responsive, which is why this is not a 1-star review. However, this experience required far more time, oversight, and stress than any homeowner should reasonably expect from a professional flooring installation. During the amount of due diligence we were forced to do throughout this process, we also learned that California contractor regulations generally limit upfront deposits on home-improvement contracts to 10% or $1,000, whichever is less. In our case, substantially more than that was collected upfront. One thing this experience taught us is how important it is for homeowners to educate themselves on flooring installation standards, moisture requirements, and California contractor protections before beginning a major flooring project. Unfortunately, we trusted the process more than we should have and only learned many of these standards after problems began appearing. For anyone beginning a flooring project, we would strongly encourage reviewing: * ASTM flooring and subfloor preparation standards * Manufacturer installation requirements * California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) contract and deposit regulations We genuinely hope sharing our experience helps other homeowners avoid going through a similar situation.
