I really wanted to to hire CA Tile & Granite to install Cambria Quartz as my new kitchen counter. "Pavel" (came to my home to measure) and "Rosemary" (helped me choose color in office) were very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The price was within my budget, but was still weighing 3 bids. When I delved down the details - per the Cambria Warranty, the material needs to be installed by a "Cambria approved installer" and CA Tile & Granite is NOT listed on the Cambria website (CambriaUSA.com) as an approved installer. To clarify the matter, I called Rosemary and she told me it was because they are a fabricator, but I was puzzled because they were to install the counter too. I felt she was defensive and told me to email her Cambria Representative "Carol", which I did. I was surprised to not hear a response from Carol after 5 days and it would of been nice to hear a follow up from Rosemary too. On Day 6 Rosemary contacted with a phone number for Carol. I was disappointed CA Tile & Granite could not answer my questions from the start and makes me feel hesitant to work with them in the future, in case there was a problem. read more

Michael, Ray, Monica were AWESOME and very professional. They put the customer first. They offered me the same quartz tile style and style name as another tile store (see my other review) and the total was $1500 less! And they threw in a free kitchen sink. I really love this company and I love how hard and stern Michael can be when there is a glitch. He runs a tight ship and keeps the project moving in the right direction. There were a couple glitches but they were remedied. I really liked the installers, too, but I forgot their names. They, especially "Eric" are well trained with their skills and were easy to work with, as well. I was going to take one star off because of their "handyman" person (name withheld), but Michael sure set him straight, and I don't want his behavior to reflect poorly on the business or the wonderful people who work there. Recently our countertop was installed by California Tile & Granite, Corp. We were very disappointed with how the process turned out. First of all, the templater decided to move the cooktop over 1 inch to the left without telling us. The cooktop was installed on base plywood in the exact location we wanted perfectly aligned with the range hood before the countertop template date. Templater decided to relocate the cooktop position without saying anything about it to us. The countertop installers said they will try to make it work by trimming the slab on the left side of the cooktop. Since the cooktop surface overlaps the countertop there was some wiggle room there. This is where it got a lot worse. The installers decided to cut the countertop inside the kitchen instead of taking the slab outside. Just imagine the amount of dust that is created when you cut over 20 inches of quartz slab with a hand-held grinder inside the kitchen. To make things worse, they decided to turn on the range hood vent and it sucked up a lot of dust in its motor. The installers did not remove nor did they try to vacuum the cabinet drawers right below the cooktop. We had to take everything apart including the range hood, the drawers, and the rails and take them outside to get the dust out with a leaf blower. It took us 2 days to clean the dust in the kitchen and the rest of the adjacent rooms. After all that, the cooktop is still not aligned with the range hood. Dealing with California Tile & Granite was an absolute nightmare. We spent over $9,000 with them and now we have nothing but regrets. read more

My husband and I walked into Ray's shop and had about 10 minutes to pick out a countertop and tile (COVID19 times). Ray was friendly, fast and provided options without overwhelming me with a thousand choices, which I really appreciated. We were very satisfied with the timely replacement of old tile counters with quartz and 4 new sinks in our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. They provided us with an estimate for the quartz we liked within 15 min after walking in the door with a diagram. The demolition was done in one day by two former contractors. A pattern was created for 4 different surfaces in one day by the owner. We were able to examine the huge sheets of quartz before they were cut. The owner gave excellent advice on how much quartz to use on the window. The installation is excellent, the seams are not obvious and are wisely located. We had to wait 6 months for the new cooktop but the quartz counters were in place in 3 weeks from start to finish. We highly recommend this company for respecting our budget and ideas. read more
