I received no communication until an email on May 28, 2026, stating that they received my watch and an assessment of repairs needed would take an additional 20-25 business days. After that, the repair, once authorized, takes an additional 30-45 business days! An incredible up to three months from receipt to repair is ridiculous, especially with zero communication to the customer on their website of such an expected timeframe. There are clearly staffing or other major problems happening at this facility, and former employee reviews on Glassdoor suggest a consolidation of facilities from CA to TX has caused a massive bottleneck and delays. If this timeframe had been communicated as it should be on their repair website, I would have certainly gone somewhere else.

What I don't understand is why they didn't take their own experience and profession into account and simply decline the repair if it was that likely to fail. As a mechanic myself, I know what I will and won't break. And if I advise a customer to do something and it breaks because of my actions, I take responsibility for it. They did polish the ring and it looks nice, but that's about the only positive I can point to. Instead, they wanted to charge me $70 to fix the damage they caused, then recommended adding a shank for over $200, with the ring not ready until the next day. That's not accountability, that's passing the cost onto the customer. Overall, poor judgment, poor handling of the situation, and a really frustrating experience. I won't be coming back.

I don't remember ever seeing it run. I've had it for years and finally decided we should get it looked at. I had another mantel clock that needed service because a new battery did not make it run. Took them both to Promenade Clocks. The cost to repair/clean them was totally reasonable. And they were both ready for pickup in less than a week! Fred and his shop is a treasure right here in Richardson! It's almost like a time museum. Fred showed us around and he really knows his clocks!
