First time being to this establishment and just on a whim..I had 2 watches that were designer and needed batteries and not alot of jewelry places cary the batteries I need for these watches or so I have been told. I walked in and first thing I noticed was the inside was very clean and very well put together. Then I was greeted and promptly asked what I needed done. I told the man what I was needing and he took my watches and said he had the batteries and could fix them in about in about 15 min total. As I was going to pay he noticed my rings were a little dull and asked me if I would like to have them polished and cleaned up. Other places (Walmart, Batteries Plus) often claim they don't have the machine/tool to remove the back or simply don't want to take on the liability. The repairman was friendly and ready to repair! Took one look at my watch and said, "I can do it right now. Five minutes." So I asked him if I should stay, to which he said, "yes." The owners, Oscar and his wife, told my husband & I that my ring (which THEY lost a stone out of) needed to be recast, otherwise it might lose more stones... due to it being 10k "rose gold and therefore weaker than yellow or white". This is absolutely untrue! Rose gold is actually stronger due to the copper in it! Not to mention that 10k is far stronger than 24k, due to the alloys added. I went is to get a watch battery replaced and the lady at the counter quoted $69.99 without the pressure test which is additional $25. I was shocked as I never paid more than $25. Rightly so, I requested for quotes on yelp and of the six quotes, three of them responded with $25 and the fourth one from Jewelry Limited in Richardson for $8.50. I will never go back to this place, however I highly recommend Jewelry Limited at Richardson. I needed a gold necklace fixed as soon as possible and I had heard from someone that I knew that this was a good place to bring it. I went on a Sunday early in the morning and no one was there. They lady gave me a slip to bring back to pick up and told me it'd be about 45 minutes. I walked around the mall and when I came back, she wasn't quite ready so I sat and waited. Other customers came in and quoted them about the same amount of time. Before I knew it, she was done with my necklace. The person that sent me had been there before with the very same necklace and had paid $20 but when I was checking out, she told me it'd be $32.99. I told her that this necklace had been here before and they'd quoted cheaper and I just wanted to know why there was a difference. She said the gold prices had gone up but she could give it to me for $29. With tax and everything it still came out to like $35. I appreciated how fast it was fixed so I paid it. DO NOT GO HERE! I got an amazing diamond engagement ring from Baily, Banks and Biddle for Christmas and needed it sized. This store is in the mall i work at so it seemed like an easy choice. It cost $40 which i happily paid. The sizing was right. But with further inspection i noticed discoloration and pits/scatches on the band. I returned the fallowing day and they told me they would buff it out and it would take 25 minutes. When i came back they had it just sitting up on the ledge of the counter where anything could have happened to it. It looked exactly the same but you could tell they buffed it as the band was different thicknesses on either side of the stones. When i told him I has unhappy. He started to yell at me about how it was not his fault and i must have damaged it. At this point my boyfriend was extremely angry. After much yelling and other customers walking out they unhappily gave me a refund. I plan to take it someplace else to have the band fixed it and make them pay for the repairs. My happy moment was ruined by this company I WILL NEVER refer anyone to them again. read more

I recently got a couple watches with metal bands. Having only owned watches with leather bands (or plastic way back) I had no idea how to adjust the size on them. They were happy to adjust it for me, but charged about $10 a watch. Very quick and professional and they packaged the extra links in little zip lock bags so I wouldn't lose them. They are a little expensive, but if you need some work done it seems like a good place to go. (I found out later the department stores are normally happy to help you adjust bands for free with a little smile, although sometimes the person behind the counter may not be 100% sure of what they are doing.) read more

And give me 2 option 1) permanent fix for $100 2) temperary fix with GLUE for cheaper (he so sure, and claim the watch will last for another year or so, if I becareful) I choose option 2. Now, see. the PROBLEM IS! HE MAKE MATTER WORST!! THEN claim the watch couldn't be fixed temperary after he so sure saying it can BE. that's why I agreed for him to work on the watch! I CAME because my watch's second, minute, and hour hand a liltle bit lose.
