When the work was finally completed, we were left with no grass, no flowers and no plants - pretty much a barren wasteland that looked horrible. As we put the word out to landscape designers, we started to get contacted by several companies wanting to quote the work. Steve from S & L was the first to respond. He was punctual and professional at the estimate appointment, COMPLETELY understood the assignment as we described what we wanted and provided a very reasonable quote for the work we requested (he even provided us with a thorough sketch of our vision the very next day!) This was a marked difference from the other companies - some wanted to charge us just for their plan (!), some had to be chased down for a follow up, some missed their scheduled appointments and others were ridiculously high with their estimates. Throughout the planting/installation process, Steve and his team were in constant communication with us, asking us to check their progress as we moved forward so that we were all on the same page (even offering GREAT suggestions). My wife and I could not be happier with the results. We have a beautiful lawn of new sod, several beds of native Florida plants and trees and dramatic uplighting that makes our home look like it was photographed by House and Garden. I let her know that I was in Alaska and that we wished to provide something for the family that would bloom each year and grow up healthy and happy, to remind them of their amazing three year old son. Nicole made several suggestions and we settled on a gorgeous flowering tree that would attract butterflies and bloom from spring to fall. Her kindness and helpfulness were so greatly appreciated. When I called back, another wonderful and equally helpful young woman answered the phone. Apparently, this nursery hires people with great customer service skills and exceptionally big hearts. After using Keller for five months, I cancelled their service. They are pricey for what you get. When I signed my contract with them, they informed me that pest control would come by on Wednesdays, but for the past five months, they've come inconsistently on Mondays and Tuesdays. They also informed me that the lawn mowing guys would come by on Thursdays, but they frequently stopped by on Fridays. Having two dogs that use a doggie door, their inconsistency was a big inconvenience. On the administrative side of things, they are extremely unresponsive. I would send them an email and it would take Kendra two weeks to respond. I would call their office and get no answer. I would ask them to trim my trees and it would take them nearly a month to get someone out to do the job yet they sent me the $800 bill within 24 hours. They are understaffed and completely unreliable. Buyer beware!

I texted him on 02/20/2020 and was told he would be out the next Tuesday. On that day, 02/25/2020, I texted him and was told Wednesday due to being held up. On that same day, I told him we could be understanding but it would help if he did a better job communicating. On 02/26 he texted that he would have to reschedule and would receive an email update, which didn't happen. On 02/28/2020 I texted him and asked for a definite date that he would be back out. On the morning of 02/29/2020 we texted him and told him that we wanted to meet with him on Monday afternoon and asked what time was convenient. We received an email saying he would be out one day next week, On 03/01/2020 I again asked to meet with him and did not receive a reply. On 03/03/2020 I texted him and expressed that I was trying to be understanding but his communication remained a problem and again asked to meet with him. He didn't respond. On 03/23/2020 I texted him because again he did not show, and was told via email that his cement guy was behind due to the Covid-19 and we were next on the list. As again I had not heard from him or seen him. I emailed him on 4/10/2020 saying that I wanted him to come pick up the few supplies that he dropped off and bring a check for a full refund and received an automatic reply that they were closed due to the virus. I certainly understand the virus has caused a lot of things to shut down, however the problem started way before that. On 05/12/2020 I communicated via email and text that I wanted a refund and received an automatic reply that I would be hearing back from someone in 24-48 hours. I had Matt B (Nephew of Jim - Owner) at my home yesterday to service our 8 zone system as our Rain Bird System had an error code. He came out assessed we had a dead solenoid, as well as some heads that required service, and a necessary new pipe and irrigation installation. His initial estimate was on the high end but he later explained to me that it was secondary to potential increase in time (charge by hour), should they encounter tree roots, etc. Made sense to me. The eventual price was quite competitive. I had already written a check for the high end estimate, and gave it to him. When he finished the job, he actually handed it back to me telling me the bill would be ~ $100 less! He could have totally kept the extra money and I would not have known differently. Talk about fairness and honesty! To say we are thrilled with this company is an understatement. Thank you Agape!
