Came here for a massage last week for the first time with Kelly and it was a great experience. If I'm being honest, I smoked pot right before hand (I was on vacation, let me live) and I really think it only helped me further appreciate the work of Kelly. Before we started, we had a brief discussion about any pain I had - specifically my neck had been bothering me from a 6 hour flight from NYC. Kelly really found a nice balance of appropriate, hard pressure with smooth, calming, relaxing body work. Before the massage started I basically said to her "no amount of pressure would hurt me" and after I realized that perhaps the service I paid for was less expensive then what would be a deep tissue massage which I felt bad about. Not to mention, Kelly took me over an extra 11 minutes (gotta be precise people). The only thing I'd change is the transition from the massage to the waiting room feels a little abrupt because the waiting room feels a little doctor office-y. You very quickly go from bathrobe, waves crashing, soothing vibes to reality. Perhaps some accentuated feng shui?! I can't really talk my apartment before my fiance moved in was comical. I had a negative experience with Casey. This was my third massage here. The first two massages were with women and were very good, both were professional. The women took time in the beginning to check in with me, explain how the massage would go, and discuss boundaries of where they would be working on my body. Both checked to make sure I was okay with everything. They made of point of letting me know they'd be going over my whole body but wouldn't spend much time on my glutes, and anything they did in that area would be over the sheet that covered my body. I know that glute massages are a thing but this is also an intimate area so I really appreciated the care they took in making sure I was comfortable and felt safe. My third massage with Casey was different. I had scheduled a regular hour long massage like the first two. He did not ask or explain anything in the beginning, and once the massage started he spent some time on my back and upper body but then pretty quickly moved to focus on my glutes, and stayed there almost the entire time I was on the table. He did not warn me of this or ask for my consent ahead of time. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe, and did not understand why he was focusing SO MUCH on this area when I had not requested it or given my consent. He was rubbing my bare glutes and upper inner thigh underneath the sheet as well, which felt really violating. After about twenty minutes of this I could not take it anymore and asked him to step out of the room. I then called the front desk and told the receptionist what was happening. She was very helpful and immediately offered to escort me out, without having to see Casey. I was assured by both the receptionist and owner (who called me later) that the way this happened was not customary. The massage therapist should ask first, and if consent is given then contact with the glute area should be over the sheet. At the very least there needs to be an explanation ahead of time. There is a form you fill out during your first visit where you can notate which areas of your body are off limits, but this is not enough to go by as your comfort level may shift over time or depending on how you happen to be feeling on a certain day. This could have been a misunderstanding but all massage therapists should know to be very careful about asking for consent before giving a glute massage, as well as explaining exactly what you'll be doing ahead of time. I'm posting this so that ladies who come here and have Casey as their therapist know what to expect and watch out for. Unfortunately I do not feel safe returning. read more

I was in Phoenix to do a very labor intensive job and needed a massage afterwards. I called multiple locations for pricing only to find many places in Phoenix/Tempe/Chandler obscenely overpriced. Not this hidden gem. I called in the morning and was seen in the early afternoon by KC (please excuse if I butcher the spelling). I was a little anxious as he was my very first male therapist. Well, all my anxiety melted away with this massage. He managed to work all of my knots and increase my mobility and flexibility. Front desk staff was amazing as well. I have been coming for about 6 months now and my friend booked me a congratulations massage with someone I had never seen before but I knew it would be great because everyone is phenomenal. I saw Joe and it was the massage I didn't know I needed. It hurt so good. I was so tender and he kept reminding me to breathe and was very nice. Went for a first time 60 minute massage and it was amazing! The best massage that I have ever received! Kyrsten was great and took extra time on my massage because of my knots! Super friendly staff and very clean environment! I also really liked how they do not force anyone to sign up for their membership program! They do not pressure once so ever! I had to ask about the membership program from the front desk ladies. It is really nice to not be pressured into buying after a treatment. I really enjoy coming here to get massages! They have reasonable massage prices with the membership option!! I love the adds on, especially the migraine one. Citrus massage was absolutely perfect. Their office staff was beyond helpful and nice. The decor and atmosphere was peaceful. My massage therapist was James. It was one of the best massages I've ever had. He was knowledgeable with muscles and pressure points. I had so much tension in my neck and shoulders and I left feeling like a new person. On the past I have never wanted a monthly massage anywhere because I never loved the places I would go. I would never request the same massage therapist because I didn't completely love the massage. My therapist, Sidney, was very attentive and checked in with me throughout the service. Her technique is phenomenal! She worked out all my problem spots while helping me relax and unwind. I stopped by here for the first time after they reopened for a prenatal massage. I have never been so relaxed in my entire life! I was upset at myself that I didn't do a longer massage. As a pregnant lady with bad hips, it was the first time anyone had ever thrown a shoulder into my trouble areas! Please know that is a compliment, it felt SO good and it helped me immensely! Afterwards, she showed me great stretches to help my upper back pain and keep me relaxed. As upset as I was to hear you guys closed again (because I desperately want to come back lol), I LOVE the fact that as an owner you respect your employees and their safety. It goes to show that not only do you deliver an amazing product, but you treat the people who provide that product with the upmost love. My husband and I went into Citrus Massage for the first time today, and LET ME TELL YOU . . . This is the most gorgeous spa I have ever seen! Nothing like the cliche dark Tuscan spas. It's beautiful and clean and the colors are light and airy. It smells unbelievably delicious from the essential oils diffusing. (I'm a big oils user so I personally loved this detail!) Citrus water and sweets on the table, no detail missed. The front staff was warm and welcoming. The massage therapists are top of the line. My husband is incredibly picky about massage therapists, and since moving here to AZ he hasn't found a single one he likes (he's tried a dozen no joke) and he said Ethelyn was the best he's ever had. (So glad he found someone he can go back to consistently!) I had Sidney and she is great for deep tissue! Also however long you booked your massage time for, you get that time HANDS ON. So my 60 minute massage was a full 60 minute hands on massage unlike my other spa that counts dress and prep time into that, leaving me only 45 min. The price is one of the most affordable in the valley so our membership is doable which is great because I get migraines and need consistent massages to ease them up a bit. So grateful to find a place close to us that we both love. You will not be disappointed! Seriously I'm so happy this place just opened. read more
