For Valentines Day, we had a little snafu and the team was quick to make everything perfect by going above and beyond to make us feel special. I took advantage of the First Time Special for a 60 minute massage for $65. I requested their best deep tissue specialist and they scheduled me with Leah who was wonderful. I had surgery a couple of months ago and have a lot of stiff muscles as the body adjusts. My experience was so positive I decided to sign up for the monthly subscription which keeps the rate at $65. I was with Lexi, she was amazing. I booked and received a 60-minute massage. Lexi asked what kind of pressure I liked, the areas to target and other preference questions. This was a really great massage, one of things I really liked is Lexi wrapped warm towels around my feet, it felt so relaxing, like dipping your feet into warm sand. Since I was new to this, I ask Lexi how often people should come to get a massage, and she said to depends on how much stress and tension a person carries, for some a few times a month and for others monthly works great too and told me that even thought I felt like I was tense I wasn't really that bad and could go once every month. Went in for a massage and always love supporting local businesses and family owned. When you first walk in, it smells great! Has that essential oil, spa yummy smell. The lobby is simply elegant. Bright and clean. Spa water (what we call it in my house) on tap. I had a massage from Leanne and she did a fantastic job. I've got some health issues which make me nervous when working with a new therapist. But Leanne was on top of it. She totally listened to me before starting the massage, so minimal guidance was necessary during the massage. It may have been the fastest hour of my life.....I'm pretty sure i dozed at one point. Lol! Oh, and it's a full 60 minutes.... doesn't count time spent talking to you or disrobing! Nice! I went to Citrus Massage at the Chandler location for my birthday. It was very clean and relaxing. The massage I had was amazing. Valerie took her time to massage all the right areas with care. She gave a very light relaxing massage with more pressure when needed. The only thing I can say that would be better is more time given for the hand and foot scrub. It felt like maybe less than one minute per hand, foot. I also want to thank the girl at the front desk. She made a very sweet birthday card and gave it to me when I checked out. Loved the citrus water and beautiful waiting area. However I am very disappointed with what happened. I booked my appointment over the phone with the receptionist clearly stating I'd like a 60 minute facial. I'm from out of town and have anxiety as it is so this was a big step for me to drive to a place I've never been, but looked amazing. I got in there and went into the room with Joe. He asked me what concerns i had. I began to explain that I have dark spots on my face. He then asked if I was comfortable being massaged everywhere and I was confused and said I'm here for a facial. He said he doesn't do facials and told me to go back to the lobby and the receptionist basically told me to leave. Do you have to be a licensed massage therapist to work here ? I just got a massage and I feel like my therapist was not licensed. Maybe she was having a bad day? She didn't check the temp of the hot towels before she put them on me. She would rub the same place over and over until it was annoying and then would move to the next section of my body. She didn't rub the areas I requested. I had a hand and foot scrub but she piled the scrub on top of my hands and feet then wrapped with a scorching hot towel then just wiped it right off. I was having a me day and Citrus Massage was my first stop. When you walk in to you will be taken back by how amazing it smells. They have a great seating area and ask if you would like some delicious water infused with fruit. It looks a bit small but when you go to the back it's really big with lots of private rooms. Since my appointment was so early my room was in the couple's room which is nice and big. The low lighting and music gets you excited while you wait for you massage therapist.
