The only regret is that we weren't able to meet any staff during the one night we stayed. We booked 2 King rooms that shared a common living room type area. Worked perfectly. Beds and linens were the best of our trip. Loved the way they maintained the historic feel but modernized in the right ways (bathroom particularly). I'd stay here again if I were anywhere near Burns. Motorcyclists will appreciate that it has a paved entrance and parking area as well. The room is nice and large with a generous sized bathroom and larger sleeping area. There is a min fridge in the room, with a separate door for the freezer portion. What's really nice is there is a lazy boy type chair in the room which was nice after a long day on the cycle. The owners have had it for 23 years a making them vested in having guests leave happy. If you're looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay, this should make your list.

The woman in charge of the breakfast room was nice to adults but a little impatient with the kids that were unsupervised. No one wore masks and the breakfast attendant gave us her opinion of the pandemic which was sadly uninformed. The hotel had a hot tub and small indoor pool. Looked lovely. Wish I would have seen it before checking out. Overall, the employees at R&R were very pleasant but not one employee work a mask nor did they enforce the mask policy posted on the front door and in the hallways.

They are actively renovating the damaged portion, but it seems to be a long slow process. The room was clean, but not the room I had reserved. It was supposed to be a room for three, wound up in a room barely set up for 2. It was clean, but very worn and dated. Smelled strongly of cigarette smoke even though property was non-smoking. Room was very hot even with the AC cranking. The mattress was the worst. It sagged so badly in the middle it was extremely uncomfortable. The hot water in the shower was great. And the property was quiet. That's about the best I can say about the room. If I hadn't just needed a place to crash on the first leg of my trip I would have been pretty upset. But it was literally the last available room in Burns and I just needed to sleep a few hours. Still, I would recommend staying elsewhere if at all possible, at least until they finish renovating.
