We pulled into Burns on our way to Idaho then Nebraska. It was late. We needed a room. Tried a…read morebest western and they were sold out. Got a r9om here. It looked clean. It was available. The room smelled good when we entered. I thought it looked nice. There was a small fridge, microwave and a small coffee pot. I liked the layout with the sink being out of the bath and toilet area. Plug Ins were not plentiful. But they worked. We were on the second floor and there was a patio but we entered from inside which was nice. However, the bed felt like a box spring without mattress. Our entire bodies hurt from one 6 hours sleep. Definitely not a comfortable bed. Hard and cheap mattress. The office Chair was tipping over. You have to rest yourself on your right hip to sit in it but i had some work to do so I had to send some emails from the desk. There was a pool and got tub but we didn't use it. It looked clean enough. There is breakfast in the morning but we didn't get up early enough for that. I'm glad we had a place to lay our heads and we were able to park the semi and trailer there but i wouldn't choose to stay here again for over $150. No way.

The only reason I gave this hotel 3 stars is because the staff is beyond nice and helpful…read more The place is more than 1/2 burned down and apparently has been for a good long while from what I could gather. They are actively renovating the damaged portion, but it seems to be a long slow process. The room was clean, but not the room I had reserved. It was supposed to be a room for three, wound up in a room barely set up for 2. It was clean, but very worn and dated. Smelled strongly of cigarette smoke even though property was non-smoking. Room was very hot even with the AC cranking. The mattress was the worst. It sagged so badly in the middle it was extremely uncomfortable. The hot water in the shower was great. And the property was quiet. That's about the best I can say about the room. If I hadn't just needed a place to crash on the first leg of my trip I would have been pretty upset. But it was literally the last available room in Burns and I just needed to sleep a few hours. Still, I would recommend staying elsewhere if at all possible, at least until they finish renovating.

The front desk attendant/manager appeared to be asleep when we arrived, and it took approximately 15 minutes before he came out to check us in. Unfortunately, things only got worse once we got into the room. The room was absolutely disgusting. The mattress had large yellow/brown stains on the side, the air-conditioning unit was extremely old and dirty, and the bathroom sink was damaged with an actual hole in the basin. We had flies and gnats coming from the sink area, which made using the bathroom extremely unpleasant. I brought the insect issue to the manager's attention, and his response was essentially that it was "normal because we are in the desert." I'm sorry, but being in the desert does not make insects coming out of a damaged bathroom sink acceptable in a hotel room. The property overall felt poorly maintained. There was even a dog lying across the front desk/counter area. I love dogs--we were traveling with our own--but having an animal lying on the hotel's check-in counter is not something I would expect from a professionally maintained property. We were exhausted, traveling with four adults and dogs, and simply needed somewhere clean and safe to sleep for the night. For what we paid, the condition of the room and the response to our concerns were completely unacceptable. I have photos of the stained mattress, damaged sink, condition of the AC unit, and other issues from our stay. I would absolutely not recommend this location unless significant cleaning, maintenance, and management improvements are made
