They took way past the given date to fix my vehicle, drove it for TWO days and it broke down again FOR THE SAME EXACT THING again.

On January 5th I took my car to get an air blender motor replaced. Had to pay $160.00 "diagnostic fee" for something I already knew to be wrong, but went ahead with it anyway as they normally do good work. Well a short while later they send me my estimate along with a walkaround video of my 2006 Dodge SRT-8 with the front bumper cover ripped off, telling me I had parked over the curb and it snagged while moving car to bay. Well I didnt park over curb and where they claimed it snagged was angled away from curb. Well they cobbled it together and finished the job. After I get it out in sunlight I see new damage with white paint on right front quarter as well as a laquered piece of wood jammed between bumper and quarterpanel. Everyone at location as well as their supervisor "Chuck" is mystified by this. but unfortunately their surveillance cameras only work at night,,,,right! Just got it back from bodyshop today, right front wheel well shattered and sheet of metal used to hold things together on right quarter. This is after just having all this recently replaced by same bodyshop so the person repairing was very familiar with what it looked like prior to this disaster. No I wont be going back, still undecided what Im going to do legally. read more

They're honest, friendly, and always go above expectations. They won't try and cheat you or over charge you and they always tell me if they think I could make the fix on my own! I never feel like I'm being lied to or taken advantage of, which is my biggest fear with auto shops. read more

got my car towed here because it was a AAA verified garage. Left it overnight and was told it was a battery problem so it would be replaced and everything would work fine, Today I pick it up, pay $460, drive to the gas station and my check engine light re-pops up and my car stalls on the side of the road again. I get it back to the garage for them to tell me it's actually a TRANSMISSION problem and I need to take it to the dealership to get it fixed. I asked for my $460 back because the car still doesn't work and they essentially fixed nothing and they refused. Dont take your car here especially if you're a woman because you will be taken advantage of. I have to get my car towed AGAIN now to another location for repair. Garbage place. read more

In January, I was pretty upset with how my visit was handled administratively. I had no complaints about the work. But, when they made a pricing error, I felt it was handled with minimum customer service. To update, they did call me and apologized. They, as well, sent a check for the difference. I declined to cash and returned it. I have returned for further service issues because, as I said, the techs are very good. This time my radiator sprang a leak and the water pump was failing. They handled it quickly and efficiently. And, this time, the AAA Discount was already noted on the work order so the invoice had the discount applied. I moved my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. If another issue with either of our vehicles, I would come back. read more

DO NOT go to this garage if you require any service that is more complex than an oil change. About a year and a half ago, I needed my AC system to be repaired. I selected City Garage due to it's good reviews and proximity to my office - and was pleased with my initial interaction. However, over $2000 and several months later my car began acting up again. An inspection from my local Christian Brothers confirmed that it was the same system that had been replaced by City Garage the year prior, which was luckily still under warranty. I don't know if it was because I took it to a different garage initially, but from the beginning of this second interaction Gina was very smug, and insistent that the Christian Brothers had it wrong. However their own testing revealed that it was the faulty AC system. I shrugged off the attitude, because I was so grateful that it was still under warranty and we went ahead with the repairs. Initially picking up the car, the needle on the temperature gauge was completely passed the red line indicating it was overheated. They towed the car back and said that it was because they hadn't "burped" it - which may be common but is something that I've never experienced before. Now, about two months later my AC has begun making the same noises that it did when it needed service. I question their mechanics capabilities, and wish that if they were unable to appropriately fix my car that they had referred me to someone that could. I am afraid to return the vehicle to them again, because the hostility that I received from them leads me to believe that the unfixed AC may have been intentional. read more

I took my car in for 2 main issues my ac and vibration in tire while driving, asked for a diagnostic. I was told should take a couple hours. They had my car almost 2 days. I made an appointment for 8am. Mechanic didn't start on my car until 4pm. Kept my car another 2 days. I paid for the recommended repairs, only for less than a week later the ac is no longer working and the vibration in tire is still there. When I took it back I was told they "missed" something in the diagnostic and gave me a new price and list of repairs to have fixed. No apology, no offer of anything for my inconvenience. NOTHING! I went in with a air conditioning problem that was going to cost a lot of money to be repaired, but the manager went out of her way to call the dealership to find out if my car was still under warranty, and it was, which saved me possibly thousands of Dollars. I appreciated city garage fast response to my review. I do take exception to a few issues. You said that your garage did not do my last oil change. It was done in December and the reason I know that is because you did expensive i repairs on my car at that time and my husband okayed the oil change. I usually do not have your garage do my oil since it takes so long. Besides you would not have topped off my oil unless it was still in that time frame. My cars sat outside the bay area whilel Gina looked up the record. My car was driven in, oil added and then out. No one talked to me about the oil being low. One of the guys opened my car door for me and that was when I asked how much oil was used. i was shocked . I got out of my car, went into the bay area and asked the three gentlemen what could cause that. I was told that a diagnostic would have too be done to find the cause. SCAM SCAM SCAM! I was there last week and was told my radiator was bad and my head gasket was blown, approximately 3,500.00!!!!!! I towed my car home and cried for two days! A mechanic I was refered to came by my home and fixed it in 10 minutes flat, no fee. I am in shock and disheartened by this situation. This location also repairs foreign vechicles. I have a BMW and I've always been told to take your car back to the dealer or to a foreign car repair shop. I was driving by one day I saw a Mercedes and Jaguar being repaired and I decided to give them a try. I had a quote from the BMW dealership on a repair I decline to have done due to it was just too expensive .This place saved me over $600 in repairs and much more in labor. The staff is nice they don't pressure you into doing anything you don't agree with. read more

I gotta tell you folks, I had an serious issue with my battery on my 2008 Cadillac Escalade where the positive cable had gotten literally welded to the post on the battery do to acids leaking from the battery and causing lots of corrosion around the cable . I've tried to free the post from the battery several times and the post would not budge hey I'm 56 year's old and have never seen anything like this before. Well after taking my ride to City Garage in Duncanville Texas these cats jumped on it and Bam ! These guys are the best mechanics ever. They freed the post and installed a new inexpensive battery with warranty in a matter of minutes, the mechanic showed me the issue and how he used his gifted talents to fix my issue without having to replace a new set of battery cables which could have costs me a fortune. And you know the best part was the friendly quality service manager Ray , man this dude kept checking on me and my wife and giving us updated info by the minute offering coffee soft drinks and cold water and before we knew it they were pulling my repaired ride up to the front door. Man I tell ya I'm a customer for life!!!! O did I mention the money they saved me..Most places I've been to would have taken the advantage of ripping me off and told me I needed new cables and who knows what else. My vehicle was towed to City Garage for extended warranty repairs. City Garage went above and beyond to get the warranty company to cover all the repairs needed. Most repairs were covered due to the persistence of City Garage. They were extremely nice enough and sympathetic to discount the remaining cost of repairs that the warranty company refused to cover. I feel safer driving my vehicle than I did prior to their service and repairs. You can be assured that City Garage does not cut corners and that the repairs are done to spec. Will never return! Scam Alert! After a routine oil change and fluid top off, the coolant cap was left off- unbeknownst to me at the time. A day later my engine loses power on the middle of the highway because engine temperature is high. Caused multiple problems and repair issues. Lazy and incompetent! Cost me $60 bucks to learn this and they still haven't learned it. Lacked knowledge on how to do the alignment. $60 bucks " These are little punchouts in the upper control arm(UCA) mounts on the frame. From the factory, offset washers are attached to the UCA bolts at the frame(Some poeple refer to these as "cams" because they make the control arm move back and forth similar to the way a "camshaft" makes a lifter move). That is how you adjust caster and camber on this vehicle- by turning these "cams" in or out to change the alignment. Now from the factory there is just a hole in the mount that these cams are in. You cannot turn them because there is no slot for the bolt to slide in. This is where the knockouts come in to play. In order to adjust the alignment, you need to remove the "cams", slide out the control arm, and viola, on each side of that hole in the frame is a "perforated" (I use that term lightly - some can be a bear to remove) outline in the steel. You need to use a special tool, air chisel, or in the real "bear" cases, a torch to remove the punchouts. What this does is take a 1/2" hole and turns it into a slot approximately 2" long, allowing for the in and out movement for adjustment. There are two of these on each side of the vehicle for a total of four knockouts. If anybody with one of these vehicles had it aligned with these knockouts still installed....well you got a "toe-set" not an alignment-you can't adjust what you can't move." read more

Left my car there over the holiday weekend and once they started work it was done within a few hours. Super friendly staff, and they do good work. The only thing I would suggest is to get a key drop so that I didn't have to drive there to drop my keys off- it would've saved time if they were able to have them on hand. I took my car in because the windshild wipers stopped working. I was told the problem could not be determined until diagnostics were done and the price for diagnositics would be deducted from the work. After diagnostics were done it was determined the problem was with the windshield wiper motor. Est. cost 425.00 when i picked my car up an additional 25.00 was added to the price for another part. They also did not the deduct the cost of the diagnostics. I felt I was overcharged, and cheated. Any change in price should be approved and all prices discussed before any work done. I will never return to this shop. Consumers should never leave a shop feeling the way I felt. read more
