Hardly ever open at 7am, like their hours state. Sometimes I don't see their doors open until 8. Staff is also constantly changing.

I showed up at 7:45 pm for a basic oil change and was told that they start shutting down at 7 pm even though the close at 8 pm. I was only there at that time because I went to the Take 5 in Cedar Hill and they were out of the filter I needed. I really needed the oil change. The guy had the ordasity to ask me if I worked in the morning because I could come back then. They close at 8 pm not 7 pm so I should have been serviced. read more

Went to Take 5 to get oil change. Employee showed that oil in my vehicle was still in good shape and could go without the changeout! How often does that happen? Went ahead with Mobil 1 high mileage amd service was fast and professional with no pressure sales on filters,,,wipers,,,you know the usual. Will go back there from now on. read more

Service issue with Take 5 Oil Change Corporately owned store. 4.7 at 7:23 PM visited Take 5 Oil Change in Duncanville and was greeted by Justin. He said that they could not service me before they closed at 8. I asked why and Justin said because they closed at 8:00 and a cars was in front of me. I said that they advertise quick oil changes. He said that the commercials are false advertisement. I asked him if I could get behind the car in line and if it was before 8 o'clock when they finish if he would service me, Justin said NO‼ I explained that I've been coming to Take 5 Oil Change for several years and left. 4.8 I called the corporate office to complain about my experience 469.249.9595 s/w Sarah E. to report issue claim #T5C-041642. Per Sarah, issue will be reported to district manager to call me within 72 hours. 4.14 11:21 called corporate to share the district manager never called me. Left a message for a return call to avoid long wait.11:50 s/w Rashad who sent a direct message to Austin DM (District Manager) Didn't hear from anyone so called again 4.18 @ 11:05 and spoke with Sarah Sandoval who checked the claim and per the DM, he called and my voicemail was full. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! If I could give this location, a zero star, I surely would. I come to this location monthly with a fleet of vehicles and have NEVER been treated with the level of DISRESPECT I received today!!!!! I visited this business last week of which they said they didn't have the 88 oil so I decided to return today. Upon arrival, the male African American rep approached and said he couldn't apply the fleet pricing due to their system wiping out all accounts and rudely walked away, while I was asking an additional question. He signaled me to come into the Bay of which I was approached by the Caucasian rep, he too appeared angry. He ALSO rudely stated he could not apply the Fleet due to system being down. We pulled in to the Duncanville location on Wheatland Rd. because we thought it was time to change the oil. The sticker that was placed on our windshield confirmed that we are a little over mileage too. So an attendant comes out tells us to open the hood as he is looking at the sticker. He then goes and checks only the oil and somehow determines all is good, shuts the hood and tells us we are good to go. We never got an explanation of his findings nor did we receive any other fluid top offs. If that was all he proposed to do for all of his customers that day then he shouldn't came to work. Avoid completely! I went and got a full synthetic oil change and they didn't even change my oil filter. I normally do it myself so I know it was the same one I put from my last oil change. They also told me I needed a new air filter when I checked it a few days before and it was completely fine. Two times I tried to go here (it's closer to my house than the other location) they told me the credit card reader was down and they were low on cash? This was my first time at any Take 5 Oil Change service center. It was easy to navigate the parking lot and find out where to go and what way to pull in, unlike some other places. Karl and the team were very attentive and made sure they explained everything. Didn't try to upsell me items I didn't need. They were fast, knowledgeable and personable. Take 5. Fail. Yesterday, July 6, 2022, I took my truck to the Take 5 Oil Change #0073 at 570 W. Wheatland Rd Duncanville TX for the annual inspection and oil change. They are close to my house and I have been taking my vehicles there for years. Yesterdays experience was unbelievable! Worst ever! They had me pull in the bay and asked my mileage. I said the odometer is broken. The manager, Simba, screamed we can't inspect you! the inspector quietly said yes we can. I started to get out of the truck. Simba screamed get back in, I did. There was no cooling fan provided. I then got out and walked outside and Simba began his rant. It was over 100 degrees out, the truck had been sitting in the sun, very hot, and I was sweating profusely and starting to feel effects of heat exhaustion. There is NO WAY I was going to sit there and bake! I wish I had recorded rant #1. Simba was yelling that he will never let me come back. Rules and regulation. Safety. My safety said to get out of the oven. Obviously there was no way for my to fall in the pit, and I have been walking for many years. I did record his second rant. Wow. what a jerk. I wonder what the person in the car behind me thought about his performance. When it was all said and done, he tried to charge me full price for the inspection. No. it is a 1995 model, exempt, and safety inspection only. I said I wanted 10W30, he put 5W20 in instead. Part of the oil change, on the service check list, includes check power steering fluid, coolant, air filter, fill the washer fluid, check the tire pressure, and clean the windshields. I was watching. None of those things were done. As the truck was brought to me after the inspection, I told the employee I feel sorry for you having to work for him. He rolled his eyes as Simba yelled at him to not talk to me. I had to ask several time to get Simba's name. Even worse, he kept calling me boss-man, like I was his white slave owner. Insulting. Brought my cars here last week. You stay in your car while they change your oil, which is convenient. I brought in 2 of my trucks for oil changes, they tried to sell me the $62 package for my 19 year old truck, but my husband asked for the regular oil versus synthetic, so that brought the price down to around $38. Two days later I brought my daughters car since I liked the service and convenience, as soon as we pulled up, a service woman greeted us and said that it would be $62 for synthetic oil for a 12 year old Prius. I wasn't even given the option for regular oil, and was told it was going to be $62. I said goodbye, and went to Pep Boys and got a regular oil change for $28 after their $10 off coupon! Anytime I would talk to one of the employees, he would go behind my open hood and tell his friend what I said in the moment and would laugh. This all took place about a week ago and I just got a notification on my car that an "Oil Change is required". My car shouldn't be saying that after paying $80 the week before. The speed of their work can easily be explained when you look at the quality of it. I had an oil change and a new filter put in to my car in July; the engine died in September (before either the date or mileage had been reached for another oil change) when there was no oil in it and metal shavings due to an improperly-installed filter. When given a mechanic's diagnosis from another reputable location as evidence, along with photos, the manager, (Mike) gave me a weeks-long runaround by not returning calls and having me make repeat trips to and from the location, that ended in my needing to contact their corporate headquarters. They denied responsibility when given proof otherwise. I had to buy a new car and am out thousands of dollars because of their negligence. read more

I went in for an oil change and not even two minutes of driving off I hear metal aggressively and loudly scrapping on concrete. Due to safety concerns I immediately pulled over and took pictures and video of my skid plate that was not properly secured by the Take5 employee Simba Chisango that performed the oil change. I returned back to the location with a DAMAGED and UNUSABLE skid plate and Simba simply removed the skid plate entirely and stated he will purchase and replace the skid plate at a later date. As I left for the SECOND time I still hear metal scrapping on the underside of my vehicle. It is RIDICULOUS that a simple oil change turned into having my vehicle damaged and now constantly making an unbearable metal on concrete scrapping noise every feet driven. To make matters worse, I had to GO BACK A THIRD TIME because other items underneath my car was scrapping! LUCKILY I RECORDED EVERYTHING i will be filing for damages. My first time visiting this place! I needed an oil change quickly and they did not disappoint. It's a drive thru oil change which I didn't even have to leave my car. Upon waiting on my turn to pull in the garage the rep gave me a bottle of water. Took about 15min. Got an oil change and they replaced my engine filters.
