I purchased a sectional from City Furniture and it has been a nightmare every step of the way. This sectional has a defect/design flaw where you have to jam your hand into a crevice to press a button to activate the recliner feature, the design of the sectional causes your hand to get stuck in this small space as the couch is MOVING and it will cause an issue/potentially hurt someone if they are not cautious. I have small children and even their smaller hands get stuck and pinched when trying to recline this sectional. I reached out to City Furniture about this issue and was directed to record videos and send them to the manufacturer, I did this with no results as the manufacturer just pointed me back to the retail side at City Furniture. City Furniture then asked me to make more videos, which I did and sent to them. After sending the video City Furniture sent a technician to my house and he noticed the same lack of space to fit your hand to operate the buttons safely. After this, I spoke to another customer service manager who personally went to the showroom to see for themselves and agreed with the technician and told me this over the phone. They acknowledged that the couch has a defect, saw it themselves, and refuse to do anything about it still even though it is a safety issue. All I want is the opportunity to receive a piece of furniture that is safe to use and the difficulty to achieve this result has been eye-opening to myself and my family. Be careful buying from City Furniture, they do not stand behind their products. Update: The social media team has reached out to me and still refuse to fix the situation. They are now back to telling me that is how the sectional is designed, even agreeing there was an issue. Their solution is to either stick with the problem, or buy a new one with the laughable discount they offered. Again, I do not recommend buying from City Furniture. Original review: Bad case of overpromising and underdelivering! Ordered three dressers, all were delivered with dents, sagging bases, busting seams and misaligned drawers. Submitted claims right away asking for return and full refund. CF called and offered to attempt repairs. Was promised I still could return the items if repairs weren't to my satisfaction. Earliest appointment was three weeks later. The tech only had one of the three dressers on order. Said one of the dressers was not repairable, so it was supposed to get swapped out. He didn't even try to work on the other ones. Another repair appointment was scheduled a week later, along with the swap the day before. The new dresser was in better shape than the old one, but still suffered from the same issues, only to a lesser extend. While I'm on the phone with CF to put all dressers on the same appointment (live and learn), the repair tech called with a non ID #, didn't leave a voice mail or message, and decided not to show up after all. No 30 min heads up notifications or such. At this point I was fed up with it all and decided to just return the whole lot. So called CF back, was told that sorry no, returns are only possible within the first 72 hours, contradicting what I was told before when I agreed to have them try repairs. Next repair appointment is in 4 weeks, and I have to schedule another trip to the vacation rental this furniture is for. All in all I spent way too much time and money for this order, their stuff at best worth half of what I paid. I had much better luck with IKEA which always shows up on time with proper communication, charges far less for their products, and takes them back for full refunds even half a year later. I'll never order anything from CF again! Update: Eventually someone from CF reached out, reviewed all communications, and offered to take all three dressers back for a full refund. Since the furniture is in a vacation rental I opted for a partial refund instead to avoid further hassles. I still won't purchase from CF again due yo lack of quality and return policies. read more

It has now been almost a month since my last review about my 4 year old son that was seriously injured at the showroom in Tamarac. I was emailed multiple times being told that someone would reach out to me to discuss my son's injuries and the traumatic event that my children and wife had to witness on February 15th 2025. I was also told someone from risk management would reach out as well and city furniture has done absolutely nothing as they said they would. This is a disgraceful company that has no emotional intelligence or empathy for a child. I will never use them again. We ordered a Chaise sofa 2 years ago and also purchased the three-year warranty with it. Within the first 6 months of having the sofa the chaise part broke in half. We had to call the warranty department which puts you through the ringer with questions trying to disprove your problem. They finally send out a tech that has to replace the wood in the chaise and tells us they should have replaced it. When we purchased the warranty, we were also told that the warranty covered everything on the couch including cushions. We filed another claim 1 month ago because again the chaise started to slump in the middle, and the cushions had lost their stability. I filed a claim, and they sent out the tech who was just not a happy person and reported back to City Furniture that this was normal wear and tear and did not prompt a replacement of any kind. I called city furniture, and they reviewed the pictures and after lots of calls and managers they decided that yes, the warranty covered the cushions. I received the first two cushions within 2 weeks and then received a call that the tech had to deliver the chaise to us which was fine. We had a date set up for 9/3/2025 between 11:30 and 2:30 Well, that day came and went without as much a call that he wasn't coming (the tech). I called and spoke with someone at the warranty department, and she put me on hold and came back to tell me that she spoke with the tech who was supposed to deliver the cushion, and he had an emergency that day and was unable to deliver the cushion or go to any other appointments. So now they tell me we have to wait another week for the cushion to be delivered, mind you it's the same guy that came out to do the service call in the beginning. UNACCAPTABLE City Furniture. People have lives and take time off from work for things, life things happen also which I understand but have the courtesy to make a phone call that you will not be here. read more

DH & I needed a new living room set. We'd been to a couple furniture stores prior but everything was on back order or too expensive etc. My friend suggested we go here, and I'm so glad we did. We were greeted by Fabio, who was the best furniture sales person ever!! He was personable, kind, listened to us, and didn't try to rip us off or "upsell". DH wanted recliners which I wasn't too into, but they couldn't be leather because... cats. I wanted something gray they didn't look like the 90s-style poofy recliners. We had to compromise because... marriage. We found a perfect gray couch in microfiber that was perfect. We also found the best gray furniture to go with it. Lastly, when I asked about possibly purchasing a rug, Fabio took us to the clearance section and we found the perfect one at a fraction of the original cost! Score! We purchased the protection for the furniture and once again, Fabio smartly advised us that the furniture was easy to snap together, so we didn't have to pay extra for the delivery drivers to do that. Everything was delivered on time, in fact early, which was fine since I was home. If I'm looking for new furniture, I will definitely come back here, and I will ask for Fabio. read more

After I made a large purchase of a complete bedroom set I called the salesman the next day for assistance in changing my order. I called from 1pm to almost closing at 9pm. Salesman Emilio Albarran refused to answer the phone or call me back. I called 8 times during the day and was told by his fellow salespersons that he was busy with other customers for the entire window of 8 hours of me calling. I was informed that no one else could assist me only Emilio. I called again in the morning, no assistance, no callback. I am writing a review here because I was told this is their Main Company Store, so I'm hoping the owners/senior managers can read this. We were so disappointed after visiting their Fort Lauderdale showroom located on US1. After that visit, we were totally turned off the way we were treated by the salesperson. Even though we saw a sectional sofa we really like and was ready to make the purchase, we had to walk away after the horrible and unprofessional treatment we received by the staff there. However, after we came home, my wife suggested maybe there is a way we can purchase that exact sofa on their website. Sure enough, my wife found that sofa on their website and was ready to make the purchase online. During the process of making the purchase, my wife encountered with a customer service rep. Ranishka W. who reached out to my wife via a pop up window and asked my wife if she needed any assistance. My wife told her exactly what she wanted and also asked her about what if the same product went on sale in the future. She patiently worked with my wife and told her she will personally help us to get a credit/refund should the price on the same sofa dropped. At the end of the day, we got the price we wanted. Our sofa was delivered on time as promised and in perfect condition. The delivering staff was totally friendly and professional, which was really refreshing since the store staff in Fort Lauderdale told us they can only drop the sofa off on the curb. And sure enough, after a couple of weeks, the price on our sofa dropped and Ranishka personally communicated and worked with my wife to get our refund. Thank you Ranishka for working with my wife and provided excellent customer service. I think City Furniture needs to make you a Director of Customer Service so you can go back to that Fort Lauderdale store and train the staff there on how to treat your customers. Strongly recommend for everyone to shop at any other furniture store. My couch collapsed on the inside and it took about 2 months for them to fix the issue under the warrantee that I purchased. The couch is a 2 piece couch and they replaced the part that collapsed but now one cushion is like 4 inches higher than the other . It looks and feels so bad. And city furniture refuses to fix it. They said nothing is wrong with the piece. Its not the first time I have had an issue with them. The customer service they provide has to be one of the worst. It was about sheets that are inferior and don't quite fit their superior mattresses because I laundered and they were out of the original packaging, they would not take them back. Had I not taken them out of their original packaging, (planning to use them) I would not have known they didn't fit. They would not take them back. Then I get a call from customer service, social media. After being on hold for 30 to 40 minutes over two days in trying to return their call I was told the exact same thing but they offered me a $25 gift certificate to city furniture. When I declined that since I could not buy anything at city furniture for $25, they then upped it to $50, same situation. I said I would prefer a general gift certificate so I could buy sheets elsewhere. I was then told that the gentleman I was speaking to was going to terminate the call. One month later, we came back today to purchase the coffee table we found last time. We were going to order online a month ago, still had to wait for a month to deliver, so we didn't order it online. I was checking it in the website the other night, found out there's inventory at Sawgrass center and available for pick up! I called the store to double check, they have 14 in stock! We have been long-time customers of City Furniture. Sadly, we had a bad experience with them that City refuses to fix. We got a delivery of an item that was not supposed to come for another two months. The item made it so we could not fit the couch in our living room without cutting off part of our living room due to the layout. We told the delivery men it was too big but they told us we could just take it up with customer service within 24 hrs, which we did. Customer service said that was not true and they would not take the piece back. It was one small piece of a large sectional, and it showed City cannot be trusted. To add insult to injury, we sent a certified letter to the CEO Andrew Koenig, which was received, and they did not even have the decency to respond. I want to start this off by saying this will be the first time in my entire life I have left a negative review for a company, but as you read what I am currently going through you will understand. My wife and I ordered a bed and 3 piece couch the first week in November. They came to deliver the couch and bed on the second week in November. When the delivery team came they stated the bed was broken and I noticed there was a whole in one of the couches. The claim representative tried convincing me to keep the couch and they will send A technician and glue it and give me a gift card. I stated I want a new couch and don't want a damaged couch. A week later they deliver a second couch with a bigger whole the size of A fist. I then set up to have a new couch delivered and they told me it was now out of stock and it would be at least two more weeks. Finally in December they said it was back in stock and they would deliver the couch. The bring the couch and I noticed it was the first couch they delivered with a whole bunch of glue where the hole was. I have photos to prove everything I am saying. I have been on the phone with multiple managers and every time they tell me they will send the super team to deliver the couch which is the same team the second and third time. Finally on December 30th they deliver a couch for the fourth time which also has a whole and damaged back. The manager on the phone says I have to accept a damaged couch and they are sending a technician to staple the couch. Whatever you do, do not deal with this company. I have spent thousands of dollars and months dealing with them and getting no resolutions. I have taken off work multiple times and we are still dealing with this nightmare. All I want is the couch I paid for with no damage. If you are reading this review find any other furniture store you can that is not named City Furniture. read more

Less than 60 days after receiving our recliner would no longer operate. For the next few days, I wrote to their customer service and no-one responds even after asking to escalate my case to a supervisor. I then create a warranty claim which I have to pay $50 for a technician to come out. Technician came to our home and couldn't fix the issue. After they left I received a call with an update and was transferred to a supervisor who point blank told me she won't give her last name, and nothing can be done but wait 12 weeks for the part. I then decided to reach out to the CEO Andrew who did respond but basically just handed it to someone else. The next day I received a call and explained if I pay an additional $99 They would send a new chair as a warranty replacement. I kept explaining it was a "out of warranty failure" but the service employee kept referring to "our policy". I have to say I've been a Manufacturing Executive for 25+ years and have NEVER had a worst experience as with City Furniture. After paying $150 I have a chair that I'm not confident will last long that should or been replaced at no cost to me. It's clear you don't value customers and only care about $$. On November 25, 2022, my husband and I visited City Furniture to furnish our new home as we had previously had a very good experience with them in the past. We wanted to purchase a Purple mattress and adjustable base, a sectional and 2 sofas. After choosing our sofas, the salesman talks us into purchasing a bed and adjustable from the clearance center, saying they are just open box and it would be a good deal and basically the same as purchasing new. We had never purchased anything from the clearance center before, so we took his word for it. When it came time to deliver our furniture, it was a disaster. The delivery guys were rude and seemed very irritated. They drug our mattress that was not properly covered through dirt and mud and then told us to just call and let them CS know and they would fix the issue. They also didn't put our adjustable base together properly. We contacted our salesman and CS. Only then did our salesman admit that other people had complained about clearance mattresses not being properly protected and delivered to their homes dirty. CS still refused to replace and told us that we should've refused delivery, which we didn't realize was even possible. After weeks of back and forth they finally offered to come to clean the mattress after I called & complained multiple times. I let that go and didn't file a complaint or negative review. Now we are having issues with our sofas and they are refusing to fix with the extended warranties that we spent over $700 for. Each time we call to use the warranty they claim it's not covered. Today, Dec 13, 2024, I requested a refund on the warranty for CS to offer to refund me $100, which was only told to me after I asked how much would the refund be. CS just tried to give me anything again with no real clarity. In total between the mattress and our sofas, we spent over $8,000 for piss poor customer service. I am not letting this warranty issue go, City Furniture is scamming their customers. We purchased an extended warranty for them to refuse to cover anything, which is unethical. read more

I just had a wonderful experience at City Furniture. Shuey (I know I'm spelling her name wrong) the manager of the store was so polite and pleasant. She remembered me from the Pembroke Pines location. She says she remembers me as a longtime customer. She used to be a manager at that store. I only really interacted with her once over there but yet she remembered me at this store. She was so sweet and welcoming. She transferred to Tamarac about 6 months ago. Pembroke Pines loss is Tamarac's gain. Our salesperson Stanley R. was really helpful. He was really patient and answered all my questions. I like this location best because they have the largest selection. I bought several items and am very happy to shop at a location where I am appreciated. This is their main location so if you need to pick up items, this is your best bet to save time. If you check on on Yelp, you receive a free glass of wine or beer. WOW! Audre H. was such a big help from start to finish. My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon in order to find a couch for our living room. We were immediately greeted at the door, and Audrey took it from there. We gave her an idea of what we were looking for, and she showed us exactly that! She wasn't pushy or overbearing. She let us look around at our pace and discussed our concerns. She even ensured that the measurements were accurate and the couch would fit in our room. WE purchased an electronic desk back in October 2, 2024. They delivered a desk that it was not properly unassembled, legs were backward, and the electronics were not reading properly, not only that but the desk did not go down to the appropriate level like the one in the show room. 2 weeks later a Teck came change the legs and said, that the box was burn, and we needed a new one. Called the store to complain, the saleswoman did not help. we tried to get a refund to no avail. They send another Teck , who ddid not fix it. We called customer service many times . They only answer in India or Philippines , cannot understand what they say and they hung up when we demand to speak with someone in the US of A. They agreed to send a new desk, and it had the same problem, we did not accept it. Tried again to get a refund and it was denied. were told to go to the store and select another desk. We went to the store; we could not find anything that would fit in our office. they offered to give us a gift certificate and keep a broken desk. We refused. We agreed to try again and get another desk , when it came it HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. How much can a customer take and be abused??? A Teck came and said we need a new electronic box again. It is now February 11 ,20224 and we still don't have a working desk. I cannot believe this company can away with this. We would just like for them to take this useless desk back and give us out money back. But of course, how do you get through anyone in customer service if one cannot understand them. They make you pay for the furniture first and then you wait until it becomes available. Once available, if you do not schedule the delivery within a short time frame they give it to someone else and you start the process all over again.
