BEWARE: My Experience at City Kia of Orlando I had a service appointment at 7:40 AM on July 30. I arrived at 7:30 AM and wasn't even checked in until approximately 8:45 AM. When I asked why appointments were given if customers weren't being seen according to their appointment times, I was told they take cars "as they show up." I specifically asked, "So if I made a 10:00 AM appointment and showed up at 7:00 AM, you'd take my car before someone with a 7:40 appointment?" I was told yes. So...what exactly is the purpose of the appointment system? While I was waiting, a salesman approached me asking if I was interested in trading in my vehicle. I told him that after my experience with Kia, I wouldn't be giving them any more of my business beyond necessary maintenance. He asked what year my car was. I said 2019, and he proceeded to ask me if I was "the same person" I was in 2019. I'm sorry...what? He then told me Kia now has the designer from BMW and Mercedes. Sir, respectfully, I don't give a shit what my car looks like. I just want it to RUN. My service advisor then asked if I planned on waiting because they were "REALLY behind." I reminded him that I had already been waiting over an hour past my appointment time, and that when I scheduled the appointment, I specifically explained that I was driving an hour to the dealership and would be waiting and I was quoted approximately 1.5 hours. His response? He said that "the girls" shouldn't be quoting times and that he would speak to his manager to fix that and "see what he could do" to get me out faster... When my vehicle was finally finished, I was presented with a list of recommended services totaling $500+. There was nothing on that list mentioning my battery. At this point, I had already spent more than THREE HOURS at the dealership, so I declined the additional services. I had also specifically requested that my name and address be updated on my account. When my service advisor walked me to my car, he said, "Mama, if you give me a 10 on my survey, next time I'll get you 20% off and free windshield wiper blades." Bruhhhh. Who are you?! After the experience I had just had, I couldn't believe he was asking me for a perfect survey score in exchange for future discounts. Then, 10 DAYS after my oil change, my battery completely died. I called Kia to ask about the battery health check from my July 30 inspection, especially since those results are no longer printed out for the customer. They struggled to even find my account because, SURPRISE, my personal contact information was never updated, despite me specifically requesting it during my appointment. I was told I could apparently take care of it at my "next appointment." There won't be one. After explaining the battery situation, I was told I needed to bring my vehicle back in for a diagnosis. Absolutely not... I had already spent hours there. I wanted to know what they had documented during the inspection I had JUST HAD. When I finally spoke with him and explained the situation, I asked for my multipoint inspection to be resent to me. His response was rude and essentially, "There was nothing wrong with your battery. It's your starter, and you declined that service." Yes, I declined the services. ALL of them. Because I had already been sitting there for more than three hours and was presented with a $500+ list of recommendations. So I asked AGAIN for the multipoint inspection. And when I received it, guess what? My battery was documented as being UNDER 15% HEALTH. UNDER. 15%. So now I have a serious question: If my battery was documented at under 15% health during my July 30 inspection, why was this not brought to my attention? And why, when I called after my battery completely died, was I told there was nothing wrong with the battery? This is exactly why I have a problem with dealership service departments. I understand that vehicles need maintenance. I understand that dealerships recommend repairs. But I should not have to wonder whether someone is actually looking at my vehicle or simply checking off whatever the computer tells them to recommend. I drove an hour to this dealership and gave them the opportunity to service my vehicle. Instead, I spent over three hours waiting, dealt with inappropriate and dismissive comments, had my requested account information ignored, was pressured for a perfect survey score, and then had to discover AFTER my battery died that the dealership's own inspection had documented my battery at under 15% health. Unfortunately, I will NEVER be returning to City Kia of Orlando. I will be trading in my Kia at the first opportunity. It's incredibly disappointing to feel like Kia is more interested in selling services and new vehicles than actually addressing the problems customers are bringing their cars in for. If I could give zero stars, I would. Beware of any dealings you do with this dealership, especially their service department. They will do work that wasn't approved by you and then state that they have your digital fingerprint saying that it was approved. They will not work with you and when you confront them about it, asking why they did work that you didn't want them to do they become belligerent and downright rude. I went in for an oil change, alignment, tire rotation, and balance with advisor Rafael Hernandez. While waiting, I got a quote from another shop for $175 (out the door, taxes included) for the alignment/balance. Rafael quoted me $189.95, so I figured I'd just get it done at the dealership for convenience. What Rafael conveniently left out was that his quote didn't include taxes or a hidden 10% "Shop Supplies" fee ($27.59) buried in the fine print. When I asked the manager and supervisor for a solution due to the misleading verbal quote, they flat out refused. Their only excuse was "you've paid it before." I explained that I am going through financial hardship right now and watching every single penny, but they didn't care at all and offered zero solutions. They trick you with a lower verbal quote just to get the job, and then hit you with hidden percentages at checkout. Take your business elsewhere! read more

When I picked it up, it didn't fit -- and they never mentioned that accessories are final sale, so I couldn't get a refund. They reordered it, and it didn't fit again. They tried a third time, and the part arrived damaged -- and they told me they couldn't exchange it or send it back. Wasted so much time for absolutely nothing. Took my mom car in to check engine light (gives codes), about 3wks ago and it had to be returned about 3x for a diagnosis they couldn't determine. Instead of admitting they didn't know what they were doing they stalled, misled the customer of their progress, and blame other Kia dealership for past work history all while refusing to provide a loaner vehicle in meantime. Additionally, if you wish to verbally contact your service advisor or manager about repair status, expect to be interviewed by front desk for your reason and placed on extended hold to be told they'll (maybe) callback. The Service Mgr Mike lied and stated he would accommodate and give us a callback but when I arrived in person he was gone for the day. This was last strike! The inconvenience of this unsatisfied experience led to having to get it towed to a Kia Dealership in another city that fixed within a day. Brought my car in for an oil change only for a few weeks later get a low oil light decided to change the oil myself this time around only to discover the oil and the oil filter were never replaced on my last visit they charged for it but I never checked the oil until that light came on. so if you go to city Kia make sure you check the oil was actually replaced before you drive off. When I dropped mine off, I was told I would receive updates, but I ended up having to call every couple of hours myself just to find out what was going on. Because I could not stay while they tried to figure out what happen, I was without my vehicle for several additional days due to the service department being closed the following day and having to work the day after. German comes to me and says my fog light bulbs are out, and they can replace them. I mentioned that the base trim model didn't come with fog lights. Also need a cabin filter, which I just replaced 5 months prior, which I also declined. So, installing 2 LED bulbs, labor book said 20 minutes each, cost me $210+MISC charges $21.10 for a grand total of $247.14! read more

Service department is beyond shady. There is a known horn issue with Kia Souls (2020-2025). Google it. It's not a mystery. The car was brought in once already for this issue and it clearly wasn't fixed. No horn again. Dangerous, right? You think these people care? Over the phone, yes, it's covered under the warranty. Once at the dealership, it was a different story. All they wanted to make clear was that I was paying $210 for a diagnostic fee if they deemed that we were somehow at fault for the horn issue. To reiterate, there is a known horn issue with the Kia Soul (2020-2025). The car that went in for service is a 2023 Kia Soul (25,000 miles), and they already attempted to fix the problem once. A thinking person, one who wasn't trying to scam a customer, would make the proper deduction. Not City Kia! Anything these snakes can say to get out of covering something under warranty, they'll say it. Such dishonest business practices. I've purchased 3 vehicles from them in just over 3 years and this is what I get in return. I've contacted Kia Customer Service and filed a complaint. Outstanding customer service! My daughter's 2017 Kia Sorento broke down on the 528 and had to be towed-in to City Kia. The truck has approx. 137K on it and it has been a money pit. When she called me, my heart sank. we bought the truck in Dec. 2024, and have put nearly $5,000, into it just to keep it running. So, I was a little unhappy at this point. A few hours later, I received a telephone call from Daniel Landeiro, a service advisor from City Kia. He advised that the truck was exhibiting issues related to the Knock Sensor Detection System, a known issue with certain Kia models, but it would need to be fully diagnosed and he said he would call me the next day. I told my wife that this was it. The truck would not be found to be within the KSDS mileage/timeframe. I was pleasantly pleased (OK, really, really pleased) to hear from Daniel the next morning advising me that the issue was fully covered by Kia and that a new engine would be ordered. I just needed to send our maintenance records to him to verify that we had kept up on oil changes. We sent everything over and Daniel submitted everything to Kia. IMHO, Daniel really went to bat for us, his customer. Yes, there were some additional costs, but not as much as a new engine. We were offered a loaner vehicle, but declined as it was not needed by us. It would have been a nicety rather than a necessity. Daniel kept me informed over the next several days and my daughter was able to pick it up 11 days later, fully repaired. I'd like to thank Daniel for his amazing customer service, the technician(s) that worked on my daughter's truck, and the entire team at City Kia, in general, for making us feel so welcome. Daniel is a true professional and I appreciated his responsiveness, especially as we were not his only customers. Daniel, if you ever see this, thank you, again, and we hope your manager realizes what a great service advisor he has. read more

We found a vehicle on Autotrader. It was listed at a price and we understood that to be the asking price. When we got the final quote, it was $3800 more than expected. They explained to us that the extra fees, (City care $2,995 + Recon fee $800) are not negotiable and are "part of the price." The problem is that they were not listed on the Autotrader ad. The dealer showed a disclaimer on their site as proof that they were "transparent" and then blamed auto trader, telling me to "complain to them". The sales rep I was texting with was rude, and said they'd, "respect me more if I just said that I don't want to pay what it's worth". Actually, I'd respect them more if they'd just promote it at the real price that it's worth. The rep even, "corrected" my grammar by writing "*ladder" when I said I'd prefer the "latter". (I was correct of course). We don't want these unnecessary extra charges and it's very misleading to require them but not advertise them in the price. As for the disclaimer on your site, we are buying from out of state so we didn't even go to your site before we contacted you via Autotrader. I'm including a screenshot of the ad here. Pulled in to city kia I did not get AG; I believe I have Donald as my technician guy working on my car. He spoke to me like I was stupid which is very rude; granted I don't know that much about cars however He kept trying to tell me to buy four tires like five times and I told him that's not in the budget we're not doing that. I also mentioned an oil change isn't in budget either I'll bring it in next week. He told me it'll take a couple hours so hopefully it's not later than 12. Since I brought it in at 7:30. My car came out to a total of $572 which is greater what the girl quoted me on Friday which was $140 per tire- plus $140 for installation. Which is around $460 ish however installation is $172 now. With us being out of state, and having to handle this issue from 800 miles away for our daughter in Orlando... Josh at City Kia took it upon himself to make sure that we were taken care of in every way. Josh, his managers, Frank, Mike, and their service team went the extra mile to provide us with excellent service. From service to the loaner vehicle, to the final fix, Josh, himself, took this matter personally, and was an absolute advocate for us in every way. While we are still working issues out with Kia on our car, we are thrilled by the way Josh, and City Kia took care of us. I spoke to Josh today and thanked him for his efforts to ensure we were totally taken care of. I would trust Josh and his team in any situation we have in the future. Got out there like 1145 almost 12 saw the car out there parked at 930 didn't think nothing of it cause nobody came and spoke to me until I went out again saw the car in the same spot then ask the lady where's my rep she said oh he left for the day. City Kia: Misleading Pricing and Public Humiliation I came to City Kia as a returning customer, ready to purchase my second vehicle because of a previously great experience. This time, I was helped by a salesperson named Williams Alvarez, who was professional and respectful. Unfortunately, everything changed the moment Leopoldo Hernandez, the deal closer, got involved. After asking why the online price was significantly lower than what we were being offered in person, Leopoldo approached us in a shockingly unprofessional manner. He claimed we had made the salesperson cry -- simply for questioning pricing. Then he admitted the lower online price was only available if we agreed to buy a Kia Care package, which added the cost right back in. So in reality, the online price is deceptive -- a bait-and-switch tactic to lure customers into the dealership under false pretenses. When we challenged that, instead of explaining or de-escalating, Leopoldo escalated the situation. He arrogantly told us he didn't need our business because he was "number one," and then loudly told us to leave the dealership. This happened in front of multiple staff members -- some of whom laughed at us as we were being kicked out. It was humiliating, completely uncalled for, and honestly one of the most unprofessional encounters I've ever had. I walked in ready to make a purchase. I walked out shocked, embarrassed, and completely turned off from ever doing business with City Kia again. No customer -- let alone a returning one -- deserves to be treated like this. First I will say we've been leasing from Kia of East Orlando since we moved here from NYC almost 6 years ago In spite of a horrible interaction with a manager there we still moved forward with the first and second lease with Kia East We wanted to change over to City Kia after our first lease was up, but we actually had a less than pleasant experience with a salesperson at that time But this is a story of redemption and knowing who to work with My Brother purchased two cars and had a great experience with Myles Wong We contacted him and basically executed everything via text, and he is amazing. He was so kind and accommodating and quick to respond. Myles was so easy to work with and even without meeting him we felt so comfortable with the transaction Once our desired model came in, we made an appointment. Sadly Myles wasn't there that day but we worked with an OUTSTANDING persons named Jaime Baca. By all means, when considering a Kia, most definitely ask to work with one of these guys. They work together, we were told, and you will be so Happy to have the privilege of doing business with either or both of them As you know, it can take hours before you are able to drive the vehicle off the lot Jaime was diligent about checking in on us and letting us know what was happening to make sure we were aware of where we were in the process The way we were treated by Jaime (and Eric in fincance), we would have been ok waiting an entire day and night. Yesterday my 2022 Kia Sorrento, (2022) (26,000 miles) which was a lease and is still under warranty had mechanical issues with the engine. It was unsafe to drive, this was around 9 AM. I called City Kia around 9:30 10 o'clock-am for someone to come pick up my vehicle so it can be towed to their service department. Since then I have spoken to 5 Kia agents which all had my name wrong, After I corrected them three times, we actually made a joke about it and I said I just said I want to make sure you have my name right so when I come pick up the vehicle there's no issues, so we laughed about that. They put a request for my vehicle to be picked up and It said that it should be picked up within 100 minutes to 130 minutes, a few hours later Kia sent me a text saying did your vehicle get picked up? I said no, Kia called me, They said they're gonna reassign to be picked up and to wait a little bit, they gave me the new contact to the new company that was supposed to come pick up the car so I waited, after waiting a few hours I get a response saying that they're no longer gonna come pick up the vehicle. Kia called me again, they reassigned it again for another company to come pick up. Long story short this happened five times I spoke to 4 different agents and they still could not get it right. I am now still waiting for someone to arrive which they were supposed to arrive last night around 8:30 9 o'clock 10/10/24 and he never showed, if this is the way Kia service does business I am absolutely done with Kia. I would never buy another Kia after this experience. I have owned over 30 vehicles and I have never ever had this such bad of experience with the service department, they are the absolute worst. They're good if you need a car to buy, they'll work with you, but anything after that, good luck. read more

Don't even take a test drive, go elsewhere! Afterward, they will pressure you to fill out paperwork, including credit info, because 'the boss requires it' even when not purchasing. After purchasing from another dealer, I got non stop calls. Stay away! read more

DO NOT BUYOUT YOUR LEASE HERE!! City Kia is such a scam! I leased my suv through them and returned to buy out the lease a few years later (after so many calls from them ‍). They wanted to charge me $999 dealer fees plus over $1200 in inflated fees for title/registration... Luis tried to appear like he was doing me a favor by offering tinted windows... Are you kidding me? And he was so forcefuI constantly calling, texting, and even approaching me when I was just bringing my car in for service randomly. I realize they are trying to make money, but their customer service and honesty are severely lacking. I ended up calling Greenway Kia West and they only charged me $120 to buy my lease!! City Kia in Orlando Florida was a great dealership when we started going to them in 2011. We bought two cars from them and all was great. We always addressed any maintenance issues immediately and both cars were great. Since 2024 ownership change, they give you a laundry list of things that "need immediate attention" and fail to look at the history to see that it's already been done. When questioned, blank stares. They also try to push new car sales instead of addressing concerns or answering questions. We paid them to test something and they never tested it and couldn't explain why and didn't reverse the charge since the test was not run. The mgrs are aware and don't care and instead of trying to resolve anything or actually listened, tried to push us into buying another car. We will NEVER go to this dealership again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They are incompetent, dishonest and do not care about the customer. read more

If you want to know how the government operates. Please come to Kia service center. The most inefficient and socialist car service center. Dropped off my vehicle at 9;30. Waiting in the production line until 10:15. Mind you there are about 8 other Kia busy bee workers flying around seems like they have no idea what they are doing. Received call. They say pick up after 4:30. Showed up at 5:30. Mr.Jay an employee with a computer sitting outside taking customers. Told him I'm here to pick up the car. Mr.Jay states ok then proceed get on phone and playing with the computer for 15 minutes. Then he gets off and say oh you should be here at 4:30. What does that mean? Then he proceed to go into the building and disappear for another 15 minutes. While I'm outside waiting for my car. Comes out and sit there aimlessly for another 5 minutes before he process my invoice. After I pay he says or I need to get another sheet for you to sign. I'mmmmm no. I payed already. I'm out. I'm not waiting another minutes for this hell of a place. Almost 40 minutes to pick up my car. Worst ever. read more

City Kia Service: NOT GOOD AT ALL!. Dropped my car on Tue Jun25th for 8,000 miles service and a check on a noise/vibration which had come up a couple of days before. Today is July 8th and still do not know when will I get my car back or when will I get a temporary replacement. During these 14 days I have heard all kind of stories, from their "system had been down and delayed inputting your info", to "we have to request the manufacturer to send the replacement part'', going through lies like "your car is here" or "your car is at another of our location", and -of course- the traditional "give me 5 minutes and I'll solve your situation". This is such a center of inept and unprepared "professionals" that it has been difficult for me to run into a capable person (I assume there must be someone capable, after all). At this stage, I am going back there for the fourth time, each with my proven patience being reduced, willing to bet I will run into different people to attend my case and probably and coming out with the same result of the last two weeks. If you own a KIA, I strongly suggest to try servicing at a real professional center, even if it is not KIA. If you are considering buying one, these guys are very effective at selling it to you, but don't fall for aftermath traps. read more

Well, this place only gets worse! Made a reservation to get the complimentary oil change in aforementioned car - for which I've already massively overpaid due to their lack of honesty. Had an appointment today for 10am. Pull in and they tell me it is a 2.5 hour wait. Why make an appointment at all? How long does the oil change take? I've owned many new cars and had the dealer service each one. I have NEVER had to wait more than 45 minutes for an oil change. Also, when I got out of the car, there were about 20 guys on either side of the lane doing nothing. The one person who was assigned wasn't to be found, so rather than being helped. I waited for what is presumably the only guy who was doing work. Ultimately, I requested them to give me the car back. I just took it to Valvoline, pay for the oil change, and they actually care about their customer and their customers time. For the first time ever, I'd rather take a new car to a separate shop than the dealer. read more
