While being fostered, we visited him and decided to adopt him. The paperwork and adoption process was very smooth thanks to Mica. Mica was super prepared to answer our questions. Morris sent a lot of resources and instructions on how to set up his microchip information. It was also nice having all his medical records. I had a very good experience especially for a first-time cat mom. I would consider adopting from Morris again.

The employees were kind and knowledgeable. I appreciated they had toys to use, which my daughter had fun waving around and playing with the kitties. If we didn't already have 2 and live in Baltimore, we would've definitely considered adopting! My husband made a donation though, which hopefully helps them care for more! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that the name of cafe is misleading at best. There was a Keurig and no food... I wouldn't call that a cafe. It was also a little expensive for the time you get, but we're cat lovers and it goes to a good cause so that can be overlooked.

We made an appointment to go to the café, which was not necessarily productive for us. We were looking for two adult cats. When the café gets crowded, it's difficult to get a feel for the individual cats, let alone how they interact with each other. We ended up speaking to one of the team members who was able to access three pairs of bonded cats currently in their foster system. There are literally dozens and dozens of cats and kittens available beyond the ones who reside at the café at any given time. We were fortunate that Kathy, the owner, stopped by and overheard our conversation. She was able to reach out to three foster homes on our behalf and expedite visits. The two foster homes/families we visited were extraordinarily friendly, helpful, gracious, generous with their time, it was just a wonderful experience. We fell in love on our first visit and were able to adopt Dennis and Twiggy, both about a year old. Both had been in the system, pretty much their entire lives. Twiggy was shy and skittish, and only gradually came out of his shell. Thanks to bonding with Dennis, the tabby. When people wanted to adopt Dennis without his pal, the foster family held firm, ensuring the two would stay together For both of their well-being. That's the kind of care the people involved with Green Street take when it comes to their feline friends. They put the cats first. They lead with love. It has been a month as of today, and we are very much a happy family again, thanks to welcoming Dennis and Twiggy, and thanks to Morgan, their foster mom, and everyone working to distinguish Green Street.

I adopted a cat from Green Street almost two years ago and had a negative experience and only…read morerecently found out the way Green Street adopts out cats is not how most places do it. I adopted my cat without her being spayed first and had to bring her back to the owner of Green Street, to get spayed after having her for a few months. Cats should never be adopted out without being spayed or neutered. The owner was also incredibly rude to me and refused to use the name I gave my cat and only referred to her by the name they gave her when she was rescued..which is just ridiculous and all her spay paperwork says the old name. My cat is not microchipped, a practice I don't believe Green Street does which adds on an additional thing for cat owners to worry about. It was also $125 to adopt my cat that was about a year old which is expensive considering she wasn't a kitten and also wasn't even microchipped and I had to go out of my way to bring her back and forth to get spayed! I'm so grateful for my cat but would not recommend adopting out of Green Street.

Maybe it was just the day or...I dunno. I stopped by Baltimore Pet Shop to pick up some last minute…read morethings for my fur baby's birthday (yeah I'm that dog parent and so what lol). When I walked in I was greeted by no one and I'm pretty sure staff saw me because the store is small as all get out. It's a personal thing. I digress. They had a lot of options for all kinds of pet babies and it was almost like a little corner store for all of your pet needs. I did pick up a few things for my little one but I could stand for some more affordable items and more variety. Will I go back? Not go out of my way to get there but if I needed anything I'd check them out again.

With all the hype you hear about PAWS these days, it's kind of easy to forget about Morris Refuge…read more Heck, I haven't stepped foot in there in ages. I see from the other reviews, though, that they're still doing what they do best. And surely they must be doing it well. I adopted my baby girl, my floppy lap cat, Sydney, AKA Flirty McFlirtster (she loves human males with beards), from Morris in 1998. She was just a wee lass, a tiny kitten, but already spayed because someone adopted her (a week before I met her) and returned her due to allergies. Phooey to that guy! And you know what? My little tramp is still kickin' it, managing our household from the windowsill on a daily basis, nary a health problem. Sometimes I think I should turn on a red light, make her start contributing to the bills and stuff. (Cats, they're so lazy.) Thanks, Morris, for introducing me to my best buddy, my special girl.

Whiskers Cat Cafe is a really great concept. The cats are all up for adoption, and that's the real…read morereason a place like this should exist! The person working at Whiskers even sat a cat in my lap, told me his name (Oscar), and said he was available if I wanted to take him home. Let me tell ya - I was very tempted. This guy was a sweetie! The cafe isn't the nicest place I've ever been. It needs some TLC and the coffee & tea is Keurig style. Just an FYI if you're going to Whiskers thinking it is as nice as other cat cafes you've seen, because it isn't. However, the primary purpose for its existence is to find these cats a loving home. If that's something you're interested in, then you should visit.
