Even if some accidentally fell when doing risky tricks, the soft padded ground would reduce the impact. On the other hand, there was one section of playground exclusively for children older than 5 years old. The slide seemed to be more advanced for young toddlers for sure. Therefore, we performed our sightseeing duty and walked away since our munchkins were 2.5 and 4.5 years old. Our older one enjoyed the straight slides. I liked that fact there were multiple slides with various speeds so that kids would not get bored on staying on the same one. Normally I wouldn't recommend anyone to drive to downtown but we did this time. My partner was able to secure a spot via SpotHero at the Harris Theater for a reasonable price. I got there much later than our scheduled arrival time yet he was able to extend for another 30 minutes in the app. Overall, we highly recommend parents to visit "Maggie Daley Park" and let the kids release some energy. There were times when the screen glitched out or when the previous people at the course left their scorecard and it needed to be cleared. It wasn't that big of deal but one of us did have to get an employee from the dining area when this happened (at the ski lodge course). The software is pretty cool, you use the tablet at each station and once you finish inputting your score, your group's scorecard will automatically pop up at the next location. Perfect fun especially when you go at a time that's not too busy. We went on Mother's Day evening so maybe that's not a popular activity for mother's. There was no capacity limit set, no one (staff especially) was wearing masks, even though we were outside, social distancing wasn't enforced, and the props (axe, golf clubs and balls, go kart machines) weren't cleaned after each guest. Every attraction we headed to there was a long line, at least a 30 minute wait-- go karts have the longest line. Overall, Neon Summer is a nice concept, but they need better time management and crowd control because it was not enjoyable to wait 30+ minutes in every line, including the bars. If I were to go back it would be on a weekday or in the afternoon. The park is open to kids and adults, and kids can do all of the activities except axe throwing. On the website it states closed toe shoes must be worn, but that wasn't enforced. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to.
