This was one of the most welcoming and helpful people/mechanics I've met. I was on a road trip and my catalytic converter gave out. I tried multiple shops in two cities to no avail but he was willing to help me out despite his busy schedule. He went above and beyond to help me while even telling me about the city. I don't have much to compare the price to but it felt more than fair considering the design of the exhaust. I showed up yesterday and they were able to order the muffler I needed for my car over night so I was able to get it done the next day. They finished the job in 25 minutes. After traveling across the country I started having troubles with my van. Upon taking it to the Jiffi Lube, they informed me it was out of their realm and advised me to take it to City Muffler. I showed up right when they opened (9am) and was greeted by a very friendly mechanic who had me pull the vehicle in so he could look at it. After the initial inspection, they gave me a quote and I was able to prepay and overnight the part from Salt Lake City. The next day when I showed up at my appointment time, it was an equally as pleasant process. I was in and out within 30 minutes. THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING. My husband and I were headed up north from St. George when our car started smelling like exhaust. We went to two other places that didn't have time to help us but this place had us pull right in. He checked the engine and under carriage just to find we had rotten gas. He sent us to a specific store with the best priced products to fix the solution. AND he didn't charge us and wished us a good trip. On a road trip from Spokane, WA in our Jeep to southern Utah to do some off-roading for the first time! Went in for for broken exhaust manifold bolts on a 2004 Chevy 2500hd 3" exhaust . They replaced both exhaust manifolds and got the busted bolts out and replaced both cats in one day. Cost $1500. Seemed like a fair price. The plug wires were cooked and they only charged there cost for new wires, no labor. John stayed late to be able to finish the job. read more

Everything seemed fine at first with John. He gave me a fair quote for a catalytic converter. Paid for the part and he ordered it. It took 3 days for it to arrive. Once the part arrived we come to find he ordered the wrong part. Well, so he reorders the part and there goes 3 more days. By then its week 2, and once the correct part arrives, John claims he forgot to order the gasket. I mean really? A gasket?! You work at a muffler/exhaust shop and forget to order a gasket? At this time he tells my wife, "you should probably just trade it in..." My wife tells him "even if we could, we wouldn't be able to because of the Service Engine Light." John says, "oh yeah, you're right." How professional is that?! And lazy too! Well once the gasket came in, he worked on it for 2 days. I called the first day to see if he had an estimate of the time of completion. John claims I am rushing him at this point and I let him know they I am not. Just need to figure out a way and time to get my car since I work an hour away in St George. Once the job was completed, my wife picked the car up and he was just complaining saying he would never work on this type a car again. The car I have is a 2002 BMW M3. I don't recommend this place one bit. Very unprofessional, lazy, uneducated, & rude. I would honestly rate this no stars if I could. read more
