This is the last time I will pay for a $90 set that was def not even worth it. Two of my nails are already chipped & on top of that the women cut me during my appointment. Not even discounting me at the time of check out, they thought applying an ointment cream was enough just to get the bleeding to stop so they can finish. Terrible customer service, no accountability on their part. I don't even care to go back & ask them to fix it because my experience here was just bad. I've come here before with my partner for a pedicure & he didn't even tell me she cut his feet during his pedicure to which he also bled for. The woman here are pretty aggressive with their instruments to be providing a service around relaxation. I also think it's bad customer service to be on the phone while servicing someone, my first time here my lady was just on a personal call the entire time while taking care of me. Idk if she thought that because i was young and 26 that i wouldn't notice that complete LACK of quality, but ive been get acrylics for years. All I ever have to do is tell them what concern I have at the beginning of my appointment & the technician will see to the fact that it is addressed! these ppl double charged me for my nails which was $80.10 so I ended up being charged 160.20 for my plain nude color names . the manager there assured me that the duplicate charges with fall off. (Meaning it's an authorization hold) . 2 days later the charges were posted and did not fall off . I went in to get my money back ... because the charge posted I should've been able to get a refund . she lied and said that she posted the refund never did the police was called she told the police the same thing . the officers basically told me that they couldn't make her give me my money back. so I ended up disputing the transaction with my bank and I still haven't got my money back yet . not only that I posted a review on Google under their salon and they choose to reply to my review going back and forth with me . even took the extra step to have a customer or worker mention my name in her review saying that I was lying I posted pictures and proof that after the fact , later on at night is when they tried to process my refund and said that they couldn't and asked me for another card to send the payment too. I don't feel comfortable giving them another account I just disputed it with my bank all this happened at 11am... didnt attempt to process my refund until AFTER I MADE A REVIEW . read more

I went two weeks ago and I was serviced by the older guy in the back corner. He didnt even ask how long i wanted my acrylics and just cut them and continued on. I asked for sparkles and showed the picture of the shape i wanted. He didnt listen to anything i said. The sparkles were basically clear and the shape was square when i asked for oval. Also, i went back the same day to get them fixed and he completely filed down the acrylics completely and i literally had nubs....during the time he was "fixing my nails" he was mumbling and talking to other people who worked there. I will never go back there again bc they didnt even offer to fully fix them or give me my money back to fix them a different day. You should never mumble to the person next to you and say " hope she never comes back" Thank you sir, I will never be back. Worst experience ever & a waste of 65 dollars. I explained this to the nail tech, who proceeded to charge me extra for the nails that came off, she didn't apologize, she didn't explain that she would do something differently so the nails wouldn't come off early this time, and of course, she didn't waive the additional charge for fixing the nails that popped off. Very disappointed in the customer service and quality of service. I will not return, and I would not recommend a friend. Lower prices are no good if you have to come back in half the time you're supposed to and if they don't care to fix their mistakes. read more

These ladies work their butts off. My boyfriend's sister and I went there a few weeks ago before we left for our vacation to get some pedicures. We walked in at about 7:30 pm. I didn't realize, but I guess they close at 8pm. They took us without even thinking twice and stayed late to finish us up. I have been coming here on and off for years and they are pretty good. Sometimes you have to ask for a second coat of the clear polish over the paint, but they will do pretty much whatever you ask. They take good care of you and keep the place clean. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a more economical nail salon because they offer the quality. read more

Do NOT go here for the following reasons: - I called in and they told me gel manicure price was $20, but when I went to pay they told me it was $30. They also sad regular mani & pedi was $25 but they charged my cousin $35. When I confronted them about this, they started to yell at me saying I was wrong and kept saying "NO." - Did not sterilize equipment and used the same cuticle cutters on my cousin and then me. - I specifically asked the lady not to cut my cuticles but she did so anyway and then cut me!! When I noticed I was bleeding, I asked for alcohol and she simply told me to go wash my hands. She was so rough and was literally yanking out my cuticles. She also cut my cousin so badly that her cuticle area scabbed over. - Took another client before me even though they came after me and I had to wait another 20 minutes. I've been here on and off for 10 years as I move in and out of the area. I hadn't gone in over 5 years probably, but I had limited time before a business trip and I happened to be in the area about a month ago. I got in right away and they did a no-chip with a french in under an hour and it lasted 3 weeks! I know it's a little trashy to let it grow out that far, but I didn't have time to go sooner and that is why I typically do a french - so it's just the clear shiny part growing out and it's not as noticeable - and I mean my nails grow fast! I was in the Chicago with my friends for a nail spa thing and I deliberately did not get my nails done because I was not going to drop $50 on just my nails. Just went back on Saturday and got them done again. For $30 you get the no-chip manicure, they will also remove your old no-chip and french is not extra $ - unheard of!! They do a great job and I have recommended this place to plenty of people so I thought it's about time I write a review. The only reason I did not give it a five stars is because the decor could use some updating. Also, I think it might just be the skill of the technician because Kim had done my first no-chip in well under an hour and the girl I had this time took just over an hour. While it did take longer she was very meticulous so I was happy with my nails. I also wish the hand massage was longer, but for the price it's something I can live without. This place is definitely no-frills so if you are looking for a spa like atmosphere, go somewhere else. read more

My mom and I have been coming here since I was a teenager and now we're going to try a new nail salon because this place just isn't doing it for us anymore and the quality and overall experience isn't the same as it once was. We always make an appointment and even though we are there on time, we are often waiting over 10 minutes from our initial appointment time to start. (I am very picky about my no-chip mani) For the last several weeks I have returned to City Nails because of the technician named LILY! She does an outstanding job on a no-chip and a decent pedicure. I entered the salon for a 11am Friday nail appointment. It is 87 degrees outside and the new manager has two front doors open and no air conditioning going. It also was a severe rain storm morning. I had my hair newly done ( washed and set) and was dressed in dress for a important business engagement. I asked the Manager kindly, if he would shut the doors and turn on the air conditioning. He told me "No and that I was rude." I said excuse me, who wants to be pampered in a hot nail salon and I was highly cautious of mosquito. He again told me I was rude and could leave and go someplace else to get my nails done. I was so stunned, who does this..keeps the doors open on a hot humid day, I hope this young new owners learns a valuable lesson. The customer is paying you and the customer is always right...is luxury customer service. I was soft spoken and polite. I said, No I have an appointment and have to get to work.
