My wife and mother in law got their nails done during their vacation in Illinois. The quality, the rush, and the customer service were all poor. It felt like they rushed through their appointment to get them out of the salon. The nail polish was chipping a day later. They made my mother in laws finger bleed, they didn't file their nails, and it was just a poor experience. I decided to give this place another try, but after my experience today I will never be returning. For one, the website is not very clear on pricing when it comes to adding any designs, length, or even the cost for removal of previous acrylic. In other words, neither do they give you any notice upon arriving, how much services may cost based on how your nails look prior to coming in person. Very very overpriced for the design that didnt even include any heavy gems or other special effects. I called prior to my arrival to get cost advised gel polish and no new polish advised 35.00. She cut me when trimming my nails. When I got home I had to trim all my other nails as left sharp edges. Worst pedi I have had. When paying charged 5.00 additionsl to remove gel polish which was not advised when I called to request pricing and came within 20 minutes . I had a Regular Manicure on Tuesday and by Wednesday, they were all chipping and by today, Friday, you would have never known I had a manicure this week. I think the problem is they use the No Chip Manicure polish and if it's not cured, it simply doesn't stay on. Most I have paid for a manicure in some time and not worth one penny! Just moved to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. Marshall's was just around the corner in the Marianos lot. I read Yelp reviews before going in and requested Henry. Great decision, he was amazing! (Kelly gave a stellar pedicure, too!) Henry totally understood what I wanted and delivered. I will say he humbly said Mason and the other male nail tech "taught him everything he knows". Well, cheers on them! The cool thing about this salon is that they have exact matching colors across dip, no-chip and regular polish. So if you pick dip 309, the pedicure tech can match it with regular polish 309. I dig it! I've found my new home. Deluxe pedi and dip nails = $85...pricing isn't super transparent here, just know it's higher end and you get what you pay for. read more

I went in for a gel pedicure. I needed 2 acrylics on my big toes. The guy at the front had an attitude. Then he gave me what look like his grand mother to do my nails. Anyway she started out ok with the water warming my toes and the salts. But she didnt file my toe nails , was sloppy with putting warm towel on my legs, and quickly began painting them which looked like my 3 year old nephew could have done. I quickly told her there is no way Im paying for that. My feet looked bad when I walked in but she made them look worse. I can't make this sh$^& up. I still paid because I felt bad for the lady. But I told the guy at the front I will never come back. You dont treat loyal customers like that. They lost my business and I hope you will read this and go elsewhere. This place suuuucckkss!!!! I used to love coming here! Until recently, when I came in for a Mani Pedi. When doing my pedicure, he was really digging into my toe, and it was pretty painful and swollen for a couple days. I went in on Saturday, and on Tuesday I noticed that the side of my toe was bloody and had yellow pus coming out of it. I had to go to the doctor to get it looked at, and they said that it was an infected ingrown toenail, and they had to cut out the right side of my toenail and drain the infection. Absolutely horrible! My daughter came in to get her nails done. She got acrylic nails and wanted a design on them. The design was discussed and agree upon. The nail person was unable to do the design (that she said she could do) and removed it after a couple nails (when my daughter and worker noticed how bad it looked). Upon checking out they tried to charge her $88 for the service, which included a charge for the design. My daughter said she didn't get a design, it was not done right and removed. They got loud with her and aggressive! She ended up paying them $75 for just the acrylic (if her mom or I were there we wouldn't have given them a cent). Now, that isn't even the worst part. Loved my experience here! It's hard to find a good nail shop with talented artists that also treat you well. But look no further because Marshall's is theeee place! My appointment was at 9:30a and I was greeted by a friendly Man who checked me in and I was seated on my chair right away (say whaaaa?!) the salon is big and clean which is a plus for me! My toes have been through it and they took great care and brought them back to life. My nail tech Paris was awesome!! She got my nail design perfectly and was so nice and patient (I had to step away mid-acrylic application to take a client call and she was so understanding I seriously appreciate her). Only note I have is that I was there for 3h but anticipated 2. I think it's because my nail tech took another client while I was waiting for my toes to dry so it set us about about 40min. Also prices for nails aren't as transparent. There were 3 charges of $5 for length & design (x2) which I expected but wish was explained more. I been a customer since 2018. Always recieved great customer service. But today they made me very very mad. I came in with a pinkish color no chip on my nail and asked for a fill with a design. I get seated and immediately she starts drilling the polish off leaving some of the pink on. She gets up and comes back with pink powder ab I ut to do my fill and I had to stop her and advise I have clear acrylic on my nails not pink. She insisted we do pink powder and I had to tell her no don't put pink powder on top of my clear acrylic. She then says oh okay you have clear and I say yes you need to take the pink no chip off in order to see the pink acrylic. I show her picture of what I wanted and she proceeds to do what she wants by coloring my full nail. I then stop her and say no that's not whaT I want​ Nd showed the picture again. Finally the manger comes over and i show him what i want and be moves me to another chair. This lady looks at yhe picture and says you want same? I replied same design just different colors. For 1 min i thought okay she gone do good job. But to my surprise nope... she did not. When time to pay they tried to charge me 75$ for something that looked nothing like the picture and then told me because i had pink powder which i did not, the length of my nails, which i never know the charge extra for length. Btw my lebght is a short stelloto. And then no chip cost 75$. Now i am pissed because not only did i not get the design i want but why I am pay the same damn price i paid when i came back in December when i got the original FULL SET WITH THE PINK NO CHIP POLISH THAT THEY DID! So confused when I thought a fill was cheaper then a full . Please make it make sense!!! Safe to say I will not be going back hear after a long off and on again 6 yr relationship. You have to do better when ppl are spending their money. Customer service is important and should be appreciated. Im not saying we always right as customers but use active listening skills so we can work together. Extremely expensive and they don't do what you ask for (even with a picture in hand!) and they also don't tell you they will charge extra for a different nail polishes, I ended up paying $95 for a set of horrible extra thick gel nails (that price did not include tip) and that $95 was just for the nails!! My pedicure was awful, they basically just soaked my feet, shaped to nails and polish! They didn't scrub nor clean around the nails. I was looking forward to getting my nails done after seeing all of the great reviews. I walked in asking for a no-chip manicure. Upon walking in it smells really strong of chemicals and they need better ventilation. The male nail tech Anthony proceeded to do my nails and it felt very rushed I walked in two hours before closing time so definitely not last minute. He began by drilling off the existing gel I had on and there was powder flying everywhere! It felt so uncomfortable to breath. He pulled at my cuticles so hard it was not pleasant and the paint job is not worth 55$ I would not want to come here again. Very disappointed in the service. read more

And the lady started taking off all my nails and said they were too bad for a fill. Said they were lifting. I said yes they're lifting that's why I need a fill??? After she took them off she told me she has to charge me for taking them off & for a new set when that is not what I came in for. I told her I can't have long nails Because I have kids and she said because I want almond they have to be long. I googled short almond nails, and they're all over Google. It's very possible to have short rounded almond shaped nails. Mine were so long I had to pay again to get them shorted at a different place because she got so nasty with me about how I am insulting her work?? Which I was not, I was very calm for how upset I after I got played into paying for removal and new set when THATS NOT WHAT I CAME IN FOR. So I just let her finish doing whatever SHE wanted, because it was obvious what I wanted didn't matter. And she calls the owner over and talks bad about me in a different language WHILE doing my nails. I was so uncomfortable. After she was done with me I went in the pedicure chair. I don't post reviews often but this nail salon is definitely worth it! I called for a pedicure appointment the day of and they were able to fit me and two others later that day. The service was great, they made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. I made an acrylic dip appointment for the next day and Henry is fantastic. He explains what he is doing and takes really good care of the nails. Had a great conversation the whole time and you can tell that he puts thought into what he's doing. They all make sure you get what you paid for with care and detail. Highly recommend Marshall's Nails! I also broke one of my nails a couple days after getting it done (completely my fault) and they were able to fix it quickly and didn't charge me. I came in with my husband for matching mani-pedi's. Both of us were cut. We were also separated from each other. We got nail techs who didn't make us feel welcomed or appreciated. When my husbands nail tech cut his finger, she didn't apologize or seem to care. She had this attitude as if it's a normal thing that happens all the time. Which is okay because mistakes happen. But, we didn't like that she made my husband feel like he should just be okay with it. We both have severe anxiety and don't like confrontation so we chose not to say anything. Moments later, I had my nail tech who ended up cutting my finger as well. That was just a kooky coincidence but a bad one. He seemed as though he felt bad. So I didn't make a comment because I don't wanna make him feel bad for cutting me but it's kinda not cool cuz it hurt. An apology would have been nice. Shortly after my husbands manicure was done, he came over by me and told me how his manicure went and how his finger was cut and all of a sudden it started bleeding again. My nail tech saw my husbands finger was bleeding but he just went back to doing my nails. He didn't say or do anything. I kindly asked if he could please get him a bandaid or something. My nail tech didn't respond but he did put a little bit of liquid on my husbands finger. Once the experience was over; I went to the drying station and started drying my nails. That's when I noticed that the paint job on my nails was actually not good. There are chunks missing paint and areas not painted at all. There's parts just missing nail polish in general. I was pretty shocked. I didn't know how to react or respond. It's never happened to me before and I don't like to complain so I didn't know what to say. I never say anything to anyone usually because I don't want the employee to feel bad for a service they gave me. So I didn't ask to speak to anyone about it. I just really wanted to leave. Ten minutes went by and my nails were dry enough (which no one came to check on me and they usually do). I still had the toe dividers on and needed assistance getting them off. Nobody helped me. So, my husband ended up helping me get them off. Luckily, it didn't ruin his nails or mine. We got ready to pay and the woman at the front said, "how much do you want me to put in as your tip?" As soon as we put the card in. This made us feel obligated to tip. This put us in an uncomfortable position because we believe they deserve their tip (because they performed a service) but i also do not feel that we had a good experience. Therefore, I somehow felt it was not fair to expect a tip for a bad experience and for bad service. Not to mention, that it was worded in a way that made the tip not seem optional. Then there was the price in general. Two mani-pedi's came out to $100 (before tip). Usually, we've been charged $70+ a $20 tip for two mani-pedi's. I understand inflation is a huge factor right now and we need to accommodate that. So we didn't mind as much but it kind of sucks that we paid $100 of our hard-earned money for what was supposed to be a fun pampering and bonding experience. And it turned out to be a memory we just want to forget and pretend didn't happen. read more

This was probably the most meticulous, thorough dipping powder manicure I've ever had and it looks amazing! So pleased with how they look. The nail techs all seemed friendly and it looked like there were a few regulars in (always a good sign). My only suggestion would be a greater variety of dip colors. Came here to get my nails done before a flight and the lady who did my nails ended up going too hard on one my fingers and it started to slightly bleed underneath and when I told her she said it's some random nail polish.
