A FUN RESORT TOWN! I have wonderful memories of Laughlin, I've come here with friends and family! Every time I stop by it's a relaxing experience. Laughlin's cool atmosphere is perfect for a one-on-one experience with nature. There's never a dull moment when you're near the Colorado River , you can fish, sunbathe, hop on a boat or ride a sea dune anytime! Laughlin is casino-heavy with a slot in every corner, almost like a mini Vegas. Hotels in Laughlin have everything you need, entertainment, good food, lights, and gift shops. Several concerts take place in Laughlin featuring well-known artists and bands. PRO TIP: Check out the Edgewater Pavilion for fun concerts and music events. I highly recommend the Aquarius and Harrah's, I recently stayed at the Aquarius and had an incredible time. Each hotel has a a unique flavor and late night bites & music. Keep an eye for some resorts that have private beaches like the Harrah's! Oh, and hotel parking is still free in this corner of Nevada, enjoy it! There's a water taxi that connects several of the hotels on the Laughlin "strip". The fee is $5.00 per ride, you can even be dropped off from one end of the strip all the way to the other side of it if you wanted. Looking for tours? Laughlin has dinner cruises and day-long tours to neighboring cities (some all the way to Havasu) which give you incredible views of the Colorado River. Laughlin is straight across the state-line bridge from Bullhead City, AZ and not too far from Needles, CA and Mojave Valley, AZ. If you're looking for grocery stores like Walmart you'll find them in Bullhead. My only complaint about Laughlin is that it's developing a bit slowly and has a couple of abandoned buildings. The city has changed. It used to be a fun city across from bullhead city. It is now a run down city. On a Saturday in January not too many people. No good buffet. I used to be a more comfortable anti Los Vegas. I guess it never recovered form the pandemic. And that was years ago. I will not be coming back. read more

My husband and I used to come to Laughlin all the time and we have stayed at every casino they have. We used to love our time and each casino. In the last 5 years laughlin has become a dump! Casinos are run down. No matter where you go the customer service sucks. The dealers, security, and food employees all are rude as hell. They seem pissed to even be there. Cocktail waitresses are rude and incompetent. Laughlin is not What it used to be. read more

I have been to Laughlin several times. I have stayed 3 times and the other times have been to pass through or tom do some touristy thing. This is a much less expensive gaming town than Las Vegas. It's also a good place to get away for a few nights. A bit of gaming will generally get you an offer for a free night or three depending on the place. The town got its current start when Don Laughlin bought the land and built a hotel and casino. From then, it has grown. With Arizona across the Colorado River, a way was needed to get gamblers to and from there without driving to Needles, California and up to Laughlin. In the 1980s, Don Laughlin paid for the bridge that connects Bullhead City, Arizona with Laughlin and donated the bridge to both states. Until then, many gamblers took the river taxi or the Riverside's shuttle to get from large parking areas in Arizona to the casinos across the river. Those still exist today and many people choose to park in Arizona and water taxi to the casino. The draw besides gaming is the river and the water sports that it offers. There are many boat rental outlets, jet skis rental places also abound, and you can take a boat tour of the Laughlin area or a jet boat to Lake Havasu City. There is a good hiking spot near Laughlin--Grapevine Canyon--that has stunning petroglyphs. There's also a spot where you can walk mazes and clear your mind--perhaps. Davis Dam is now reopened for walking/biking across and that makes for a good hike/diversion. This is a good place to visit and I plan to do so a few times a year. read more

Great get away from anywhere only an hour from LV with low cost hotel rooms and expensive food but you can cross the bridge to Bullhead city and everything you need is there plus cheaper. Laughlin has an identity crisis. Games are being turned into the tourist fleecing carnival games of the Las Vegas strip. 6:5 plackjack creeping in. Didn't find any true full pay video poker, table minimums mirroring the strip. Horrible food options, I mean when 2am Dennys was the best meal of the weekend something isn't right. All things past considered values are no longer present. They've turned into fleece the tourists as fast as possible because what else is there to do in town? Mall looks like something from a Scooby-Doo cartoon, no decent places to find food, no entertainment other than gaming and strip clubs, run down smelly ass hotel rooms that have the nerve to add "resort fees". Unless you have watercraft, save your money, don't come here. It's dirty, its filthy, and the good deals are long long gone. read more

I came here once and could not wait to leave! This city was so gross! Coming in from California, we ended up a few blocks from the main strip (where the hotels and casinos are) and the entire area was nothing but adult XXX entertainment stores and strip clubs. Once in the main part of the city, the hotels and casinos were completely run down. We went to multiple casinos and they were all disgusting. Reeked of cigarets, stained carpets, old machines, gross food options, disgusting restrooms. Like I said, couldn't wait to leave and won't be returning! read more

This was the most blatant display of incompetence by public service entity's and staff I have ever had to deal with. Went to Vegas for the weekend and due to road closures were re-routed through Laughlin to Phoenix. Unfortunately it appears that nobody in Laughlin was prepared for the influx of traffic through their town and thousands of people got stuck sitting for hours just to get through the town. Even when the police drove past going the other direction and could see thousands and thousands of cars/people sitting on the highway for hours waiting on their one little traffic light to get cars on to the freeway, they did nothing but drove away. We sat there on Sunday for 2.5 hours and actually moved maybe 1/2 mile. Unbelievable! read more

I only rate this city as a four star considering it lacks a lot of amenities that big cities like Las Vegas/Henderson Nevada (my hometowns) have but it makes up with a lot of water activities and it near Bullhead City AZ. read more

Place is a dump, its old run down. Harrahs casino is so dirty stinky that we couldn't even tolerate the stinch of cigarettes and mold. No nice restaurants. We had to go across to Bullhead city to Pana Express where the employees were fighting each other about food etc. The river is so low and scary after we damaged my buddies boat propeller. Cops sitting and hiding on the highways looking for out of towners while crime is off the charts there. Every employee gas stations restaurants casino employees and every where else is rude as if they're doing you a favor. Overall I haven't been there in 18 years and after the last trip I am never going back there again. Terrible place. read more

4 stars for holding out as the last cheapo old-school Nevada casino getaway destination, now that Reno is booming and getting expensive. Su-Th you'll find about the cheapest (passable) hotel rooms in the country. Nothing fancy, but not flophouses either. And that's true pretty much all year since Laughlin doesn't have the massive conferences or weeklong EDM parties that hit Vegas every few weeks or so. Only exception is Hairy Biker Week in April. Expect Fr-Sat prices to be about as high as Vegas though, like $80-90 minimum for rooms. It's definitely senior-focused, spending any amount of time here will quickly reveal that's the overwhelming visitor demographic. It's nice if you don't want Vegas noise, rudeness, drunken escapades, gangbanging, crowds or price-gouging though. Expect cheap rooms but not cheap food, though. Not as bad as the Vegas Strip, but I found the properties tend to be a bit on the gougey side, a few overnighter diner deals and such aside. And don't expect a fridge, micro or coffee maker in your room unless you're getting a suite. Only "groceries" on the Laughlin side are a couple of Family Dollars, you'll have to cross over to Bullhead for Safeway and Walmart. I don't really gamble these days so I just took a quick peek at some pay tables on casino floors, but didn't see anything remarkable. Word is there are a lot less poker sharks trying to make a living down here though. Sign-up bonuses for players cards are virtually non-existent. If you like the old-school Nevada casino vibe, this is basically the last big stand for it in North America ... it'll be reduced to a few smokey dives sporadically scattered through rural central Nevada if Laughlin ever folds. read more

Ok so here's a tip... when coming in hot from CA and you're on Casino drive the speed limit is 35MPH AND THE HIGHWAY PATROL IS SITTIN THERE WAITIN FOR YOUR AZZ. Laughlin is a fun getaway. The gambling is in bad need of an upgrade or facelift. It's still pretty antiquated. But hey there's good food and good shopping. I wish the casinos had more beach access to swim and stuff. Here by the Colorado river, in the dusty desert communities, travelers come to visit, to play, to seek their fortunes and to move away from the big cities. Laughlin is sorta like Las Vegas was when I was a kid in the 80s. Buildings are older, casinos are smokier. BUT it is in transition..properties are being renovated..a younger, more family-oriented crowd is visiting..newer, better restaurants are popping up.. rooms have been renovated at most of the properties and are pretty nice for a lot less money than Vegas. Riverwalk is a nice stroll..water taxis are a blast and relatively cheap. Bumbleberry Flats at the Pioneer is my favorite restaurant here. The casino at the Pioneer with the western feel has the most character. Some hotels I like..Laughlin River Lodge and Avi to the south are the best value. Avi still feels new and Laughlin River Lodge is almost finished with a massive renovation. Both are mid-range in price. Avi is 15 minutes south of the main drag but has everything you need and more. Of the bargain priced properties, Edgewater has the most comfortable rooms, but I hate the casino. Avi easily has the best pool. read more

This place sucks...its like a mini Vegas but everything just smells old and is run down like nobody cares.

I think this place is fun, but as years pass the casinos are more and more run down. The main drag is nicely sculptured. I like the wind catcher/spinners in the median. The shopping mall is pretty deserted. Nice shops! I dont know how they are staying in business. There is a pot dispensary right next door, it doesnt effect the mall But i was happy that its legal there and convenient to buy if you needed to. There are jet ski rentals everywhere. The casinos are nice but if you stay im the hotel dont expect alot. All of them need upgrades id say the Hatrahs is the nicest read more
